I just watched an old South Park episode (About Last Night) from 2008 and it was a very different watch after having followed this thread. If anyone likes South Park, they should check this episode out again.

I agree with this. I would like to give credit to a couple left leaning posters though. Doc Brown and K9 improve the discussion here. Though I don't always agree with them, I appreciate how they are willing to have debates with others. I enjoy having my beliefs challenged by reading their informed opinions. To your point, when their opinions don't fall in line with the other resident lefts, there's not much debate. They get shouted down and called right wing. It's very disappointing. Some of the other left leaning posters could learn a lot by having ideological debates with their own side. I certainly know I could learn from it. That's why I come here.

Is the 18% based on the size of your party? I know a group of 6 or more is an automatic gratuity in a lot of places.

This just seems like a bad idea. Prices will increase and tips will decrease. It would take away the incentive for a lot of servers to be attentive and friendly. The ones who take pride in their job and go the extra miles for customers will be negatively affected by the price increase. Are we at the point where any random mention of Trump is under the umbrella of Godwin's Law? It seems like almost every other thread on TSW or OTW ends up having Trump thrown in regardless of topic.

This gets no attention but it is admirable work and I hope they keep it up.
