  1. I did it to a racket one time in high school. Sophomore year. I was playing the top player in our section. I was up 6-5 in the 3rd set tiebreak and he calls two balls that were both no less than 2 inches in, out. I got pissed and brought the coaches in. I asked the opposing coach if it was in. He just said it was his player's call. I ask again and he says again that it's not his call. I was steaming but we played on. I return his serve right down the line for a winner. My team and coach all cheer. He calls it out. His team and coach are silent. I lose it. Broke my racket. Called their coach a coward and went off on the guy I played. A few weeks later at the all star photos, I apologized to the opposing coach and told him I was embarrassed by how I acted. He was cool about it and actually apologized to me too. I still hate that kid.
  2. I'm pretty optimistic about Allen in the coming years. I just don't see the Bills contending for anything but a high draft pick this year with their lack of talent. I'll save my winner mentality for something it has any effect on.
  3. I expected to lose the first 4 games and was hoping Peterman could be a backup so I'm really not that disappointed. Like I said, I don't think throwing Peterman out there one more week while they look for a vet backup is a big deal. People will be just as excited for Allen in week 3, and they'll be just as disappointed when he looks like a rookie against a tough Minnesota defense. Allen will still get nearly a full seasons worth of starting experience.
  4. Peterman should start and will. Allen is the better QB by far, but I see this like Trent's last year. Peterman won the competition in camp. McD named him the starter. He was an absolute disaster. Throw him out there for one more game to see if he has any chance at shrugging it off and becoming a backup for Allen at least for this season. If he's awful again, name Allen the starter for week 3, bring in a vet backup, and cut Peterman week 4 after the vet has had a little time with the playbook. We are going nowhere this season, so one extra game of getting beat up isn't going to mean much for Allen's development.
  5. That was an embarrassment. She is one of the best female athletes of all time, but she does not lose gracefully. Osaka played the match of her life. That was the story. She earned that victory and yet people were booing at the end. The people chiming in to defend her were even more embarrassing. Uninformed take after uniformed take.
  6. Got it. You're not logically consistent. Your feelings are important.
  7. If a player tweeted out a racial slur, is it fine as long as he later tweets that he was only talking about the bad ones?
  8. The affidavit paints a different picture than some of the accounts given by the neighbors. Steve Eagar @steveeagar · 17h The Manslaughter arrest warrant for 30-year old Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger. 76 235 333 Steve Eagar @steveeagar I am told by law enforcement officers that this description will likely be a key in officer Guyger’s defense: “Guyger drew her firearm, gave verbal commands that were ignored by...” the victim Botham Jean. 5:07 PM · Sep 10, 2018 from Dallas, TX
  9. That was my thinking. A sad case where there really are going to be no winners. Except for people pushing division.
  10. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6147459/Police-white-cop-shot-dead-black-neighbor.html From everything I've read, it is a total tragedy. Even though it appears to have been an accident, she should be held responsible for her mistake. I'd love to hear the opinion from someone with a legal background on how they think this will play out. I feel it could end up being a potentially huge story.
  11. Dude, your trolling is bad enough on PPP. GTFO.
  12. He was not, in fact, cut. He had a job and left that job. Spin it all you want. He quit. He sacrificed everything.
  13. He had a job and voluntarily left it. He quit.

  15. I'm fairly certain it's a reincarnation of NDBUFFCUSEFAN. Too many similarities at this point.
  16. Will never happen. Foster will have made ~$18m at the end of his 10th year in the league. That's better than the majority of NFL players. Expecting the grunts of the NFL to care about the stars getting a little extra is unrealistic. Everyone is out for themselves and most will never see the benefits of their strong union membership because their careers are so short. The Steelers players speaking out, right or wrong, are just salty. Personally, I hope more continue to speak out and it ruins their season. F the Steelers.

  19. Taco Bell has french fries now. Other than that, nothing important.
  20. You left out some details. The dad also only has custody on weekends because his wife left him for being a miserable drunk. The daughter knows he's right, but still doesn't respect him because at the end of the day he's still a miserable drunk who, per mom, can't get it up anymore. Ps. The mom is kind of a B word too. I mean, who tells her daughter that about her father.
