  1. Josh Dawsey @jdawsey1 “I don't even know what his attitude is, nobody does, because he doesn't work very hard. Nobody knows what the hell he does,” Trump on de Blasio. 10:41 AM · Jul 12, 2019 · Twitter for iPhone 18 Retweets 89 Likes
  2. The women have been great for quite some time. Since 99, they've been on the rise but still could never support themselves. I think that in the last decade, they really started to stand on their own. Prior to that, they needed to piggyback on the revenue generated by the men. Similar to how the WNBA wouldn't exist if they weren't subsidized by the NBA. I honestly think the USWNT would survive or even thrive on its own now. I think PR would likely be the only thing that stopped it. One nation, one team and all.
  3. I know more people who would rather watch the USWNT as well, but that doesn't mean much. I'll preface by saying I enjoy watching both equally. That said, many more people like watching the USMNT. In 2014, 24.7 million people in the US watched the men tie Portugal in group play. This final had 14.3 million viewers. If the men make the next world cup, most of their games will beat this final for viewership (well, as long as the games aren't live at like 5am). Here is my solution. Two separate US Soccer Federations. No more bundling of TV contracts or endorsements. Let each stand on its own. That's the fairest thing.
  4. Also, from your article, it appears that the only reason they've generated slightly more revenue in the last few years is because the men didn't make the cup. Prior to that, the men generated more of the revenue. If the men make their next world cup, not even win just make it, I'd wager their revenue would once again be greater. As to Rapinoe, is she fighting for equal pay for women or just US Women?

  6. 2018 Men's World Cup generated $6 Billion in revenue. The players received 7%. 2019 Women's World Cup generated $131 Million in revenue. The players received 23%. I guess countries need to start forcing more people to watch and buy merchandise so that things can be equal.
  7. Cocaine Mitch is a legend. Sahil Kapur @sahilkapur Mitch McConnell responds to this report: “I find myself once again in the same position as President Obama. We both opposed reparations and we both are the descendants of slave-owners.” Quote Tweet Sahil Kapur @sahilkapur · 21h New from @NBCNews: Sen. Mitch McConnell's great-great-grandfathers owned 14 slaves, bringing reparations issue close to home (link: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/mitch-mcconnell-ancestors-slave-owners-alabama-1800s-census-n1027511) nbcnews.com/politics/congr… 2:19 PM · Jul 9, 2019 · Twitter for iPhone 244 Retweets 598 Likes
  8. You can't blame plenz. America had been going down the shitter for a quite some time. He is probably allergic to all the winning under the Trump admin.
  9. Incorrect. He's saying that they had not been honoring the deal while Obama was President.
  10. This is probably a dumb question, but if there were an alert in your building, would it be frowned upon for you to make that information public?
  11. I guess I need to find me a liberal woman to marry.

  13. Oh come on. Even you gotta admit they have chemistry. You're telling me you didn't hear "Endless Love" in your head when you watched them walk side by side into NK?
  14. @Tiberius Nothing to worry about anymore. Trump just made sure Russia won't meddle. Glad that's not an issue now.
