  1. I've been on Cooney's case for the past couple games but this, in my mind, was his best game of the year. Even better than the 27 pt game because this game meant more to everyone involved. He proved that the moment isn't too big for him, which I was thinking was the case. Great team game. I can't say a bad word about anyone.
  2. This felt like a National Championship. One of the best games i've ever seen.
  3. No matter who wins...Dickie V sucks. Keeps saying CJ is so much better of a shooter this year. Which would be true, if it weren't completely false.
  4. Tim Graham is basically the douche at the bar in the pink polo with the popped collar and fohawk who tells his friends that the girl that just turned him down is ugly. Which basically makes us the friends who, every time he's not around, argue about who even invited him to go out.
  5. If Cooney is struggling, Gbinije's length at the top of the zone could be a big factor if he sees extra minutes. If their 3 point % is hovering around 45-50% it could be a long frustrating day for the Cuse. Personally, I get more worried about Dawkins heating up like he did against Pitt . I expect Parker and Hood to get theirs, it's stopping the other guys from doubling their usual production that is the key in my mind.
  6. Enemy of my enemy is my friend. Sounds like UNC fans really want Cuse to lose because of how it would look if the ex Big East teams came in and just dominated the conference from the jump.
  7. I can't remember much of Sims personally but I heard a comparison today that I really liked. It was Tony Parker. Ennis isn't as quick but I'd say that he plays just as smooth as Parker. And both have a tremendous ability to finish at the rim amongst the trees.
  8. My prediction for tomorrow is a narrow Cuse victory. If their hitting a high 3pt % it'll be tough, but if we kill the boards like we have been we'll be okay. X Factor - The best freshman on the court tomorrow will be Ennis. Don't get me wrong, if it was the NBA Draft, I'd still take Parker on ability and size alone, but Ennis is essentially a senior in my mind. Clutch kills. GO CUSE!
  9. Ok Bobo, I'll help you out since you had trouble the first time. Use of 40 degrees? Subjective? Well since forecasts are calling for just under 40 degrees, that seemed like a relevant number. Keep choosing your own arbitrary numbers if you want. The 120 game sample? Thought this was self explanatory but here ya go. He has played 120 games outdoors in weather over 40 degrees. Dome games were omitted because, weather isn't a factor in domes in case you didn't know. The 19 game sample? Thought this was self explanatory again, but I guess not. He has played 19 total games outdoors in weather under 40 degrees. Dome games were omitted because, once again Bobo, weather has no bearing on dome games. How do we know they weren't all playoff games, hence colder temps? Well, if i remember correctly, he played a majority of his playoff games at home. You sure do like excuses don't ya Bobo? Peyton wearing boxers over briefs? Ummmmm, seems kind of personal. I'll leave speculation about Peyton's undergarments to you. So in summation, I gave valid statistics, you then proceed to scoff at them while also complaining that you get cold at 45 degrees. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for you to give those "multiple games" he won in cold weather this year.
  10. I apologize. He doesn't always lose. Career record: Over 40 degrees: 85-35 Under 40 degrees 8-11 This year 1-2 in games under 40 degrees. I'm sorry you don't like statistics. Please let me know what those multiple games he won in cold weather this year were.
  11. Horrible comparison. Does wind affect a pucks flight? No. And Peyton always loses in bad weather. Add to that that he's now old and has had surgeries so he throws only perfectly timed ducks to get completions. Which in bad weather are intercepted ducks. Which is why they bring it up every day.
  12. Lol. Agree the airball layup was bad. And my post probably came off like I hate Cooney but I really don't. He is valuable. But that is two awful games in a row where Boeheim didn't even see if he could get more out of Gbinije in the second half. I think Gbinije is overall just better and gives us more of a scoring threat. Even if I'm wrong about Gbinije being better, why not try him when Cooney is just struggling.
  13. Can anyone provide a legitimate reason why Cooney played all but 2 minutes of the second half??? Btw. Gbinije has a better 3 pt percentage than him. I understand spreading the floor, but he has struggled since league play started. When we win, it doesn't matter. But if this happens in the tourney, Boeheim is screwing us if he stubbornly refuses to adjust when his great hope (aka Gerry reincarnation) just isn't getting it done. ADJUST!! P.s. His garbage points mean nothing to me. They were arbitrary points.
  14. To the first part above, only speculation can be made. To me, it's all about the timeline. February 15 - Re-sign TJax March 12 - Release Fitz March 15 - Kolb released by Arizona March 30 - Sign Kolb April 25 - Draft Manuel Shortly after Draft - Sign Tuel June 10 - Release TJax I feel that they liked what they had in the others guys they brought in after him more than they liked him after having worked out with each in ota's. And we had cap room, so I'm not worried about what we paid TJAX going to waste. IMO, calling it a big screw up is a big stretch. To the second part above, I only saw the highlights of his Pittsburgh game. I honestly never heard of him till we traded for him. That being said, I won't lament not having a guy that we had no foreseeable need of until we had a s***storm of injuries in a 2-3 week time frame. I saw a lot of TJax in Minnesota and was concerned with why chan never activated him and so I was OK with taking a flyer on a guy who I knew nothing about instead of the guy who I felt was a good backup who would not get us to the playoffs. Edit: I think my use of the word worthless was overstated. I do think that they felt the other guys had more worth to the team.
  15. Not thin skinned here. I couldn't care less about what he said. As to your first question above, I'd say that obviously the two different coaching staffs here in Buffalo thought he was worthless. I'd wager that Kolb playing "outstanding" in OTA's could more accurately be described by saying he outplayed TJax and the team did the nice thing by letting him go rather than stringing him along like Chan did (for reasons unknown to us). Maybe he couldn't understand Chan or Doug's system and he gets Seattles'. Who knows. As for me, personally, I'd much rather have Thad than TJax. I'm glad we traded for him instead of a guy who couldn't catch on here twice essentially. I also would rather have had Kolb than TJax, as was the plan. Edit: I really hope he gets to hold for an extra point that gets flubbed and he ends up converting it for two. This thread will take off....I guess I just need something else in my life to fill the giant hole in my heart left by the loss of relevance of the Da'Rick thread.
  16. Excited for the game tonight. Here are my thoughts on how it will probably play out. THE USUAL SUSPECTS: Ennis - Will play controlled ball and get clutch if necessary. Might be my favorite freshman ever. Grant - Will be the most athletic player on the court and have at least one highlight reel play en route to a solid performance. Fair - Will put up his steady 16 pt, 8 rebound performance. Keita - He'll play his normal strong defensive game. Let 3 passes go right through his fingers. Block a couple shots. As usual, I'll want him to wag his finger after a great block a la Mutombo. As usual, to my disappointment, he won't. THE WILD CARDS: Rak - I hope Rak goes double double. Been loving his play lately. He's earning more playing time every game. Cooney - I hope he has a good confidence building shooting performance heading into Duke where we're really going to need him making shots. Gbinije - Will come in and give us some good minutes. Then will sit on the bench the entire second half, while I wonder why he's getting no playing time AT ALL if Cooney is obviously struggling. GO CUSE!!
  17. A radio show host in Syracuse (Chris McManus on Upon Further Review) had a funny take on this sentiment last night. He said that we as fans are allowed to look past teams if we want. If Boeheim or Fair look past Wake, it's a problem. The only thing we need to worry about looking past is if we have enough Cheetos when we sit down on the couch to watch. He also said he was going to make a shirt for those upset about all of the people already wearing the "Beat Duke" shirts before we play Wake. It will say "Mediocre Teams Are Still Tough To Beat On The Road". I always think the same way as you. Just thought his take was funny.
  18. Glad to see you know all the facts. You must especially like the one about the toxicology reports showing that she was not drunk or drugged. Edit: Rape is terrible. But false accusations hurt actual rape victims (and the accused) because then it causes skepticism of legitimate rapes.
