  1. Good win for UNC. This should make the SU-Duke game even more interesting IMO. Both teams coming off emotional losses. Duke to their rival. SU coming off an utter embarrassment. Both teams should coming out firing on all cylinders. For the record, I wanted the undefeated season. That said, of all the close games they won, I'm glad that the BC game was the one they lost. Nothing wrong with losing to Pitt in Pitt, and NC State isn't terrible so that could happen to anyone. But BC is AWFUL! That embarrassed them and I think that could end up being a great fire lit underneath them. Remember the Wes Johnson team, embarrassed by Lemoyne, dominant the rest of the year until Butler in the elite 8. I'm thinking (hoping) we'll see the same thing with this team, except we win it all. What say you?
  2. You never hit a woman. If they are attacking you, you restrain them to avoid getting hit. That's it.
  3. Stevie is the better route runner. Always open, and against number 1 cb's. Decker 1 inch taller. Johnson 2 inch reach advantage. Saying he's got better size is an overstatement. Stevie has produced without one of the best QB's ever throwing to him. Decker benefits from Denver throwing more than any other team. Stevie is only 8 months older. So it's not like they're getting that much younger. Ill take the guy I know can produce without top level QB play.
  4. Disappointed....and now over it. They're slumping, plain and simple. They're still the best team in the nation. I was hoping for undefeated, but I guess there's a reason it never happens. Onward and upward. GO CUSE!
  5. In my book, it puts him one step closer to becoming a Ray Ray. You don't get the second Ray until you commit a violent crime and get slapped on the wrist for it. Ray Rice is one slapped wrist away from reaching Ray Ray status.
  6. Psyched! Went into a cone of silence at my desk today at work because I was taping the game. Changed the home page on my computer from Yahoo to Google and didn't turn on the radio for fear that I might see/hear the result. WORTH IT! Let's go USA!!!
  7. I feel guilty giving them out. My inability to not look at spoilers is my cross to bear.
  8. Getting psyched for the game tonight. I hope Keita gets some good minutes. Not a lot, I just don't want his first game back to be against Duke. I also hope we blow them out. I enjoy all wins, regardless of how ugly they are, but I really want a statement game heading into Duke. Plus, if we're winning big, Ennis and CJ will get some extra rest. Go CUSE!
  9. Damn you. I just had to look.... I'm so weak!
  10. Alright. I'll put my money where my mouth is. I'll make a bet with you. If Da'Rick ends his career with more td's and yards than Hogan, I'll buy you 2 tacos from Taco Bell. Screw it! I'm not cheap. Make that three tacos......but no adding extra fillers like tomatoes and whatnot. I'm not made of money.
  11. I wonder if they already introduced the new bad guy(s) at the end of the episode in those military guys. Finding a safe haven that quickly is a giant red flag to me. Count me skeptical.
  12. I always think it's a "look at me" thing when stuff like this happens.
  13. It amazes me that with how much more of a profit the league makes over other professional sports, it is the only one that doesn't guarantee contracts. Maybe it's because of how many players are on each team? Anyone have any idea on why this is?
  14. I didn't even notice til you mentioned it but yes. It's spelled how most announcers pronounce it, which bugs me as well.
  15. I don't get the Byrd hatred by some. He has been a great player for us. He's been a top tier safety since the first day he stepped on the field. It can be argued that he's now the best safety in the game. So he decided last year that he wants to get paid what he has earned. What's wrong with that? Some will say that he was selfish for not playing through his plantar fasciitis last year like he has in the past. Question is, why should he have? After they weren't willing to pay him what he earned, why should he want to risk injury for the organization that wouldn't pay him? I'm sure there have been enough examples of what could happen if he did, just look at Dustin Keller. Get injured on a one year franchise tag, and he's possibly missing out on an extra 20 million in guaranteed money that usually comes with long term deals. Some will say he's a jerk because he doesn't appreciate that he gets to play a game and shouldn't cry about being underpaid when he makes a lot more than the average person. This is ridiculous to me. This isn't a game to them, it is their job. They need to look out for themselves and their family and no one else. It's also amazing how some people have such a crude business mentality when it comes to the team cutting players but then get angry when the player treats it as a business. Just look at the dozens of Stevie threads. The guy for two years extremely outplayed his rookie 7th round pick contract. In 2010 he was the highest rated value player in the league. He gets the contract he earned, has one down year, and now a lot of fans want to cut him or trade him because his production didn't meet his salary in one year. Did anyone support him holding out after he completely outperformed his contract in his breakout year? I doubt it. There's also the fact that he admittedly is sick of playing in a new defensive scheme every year. Can't blame him there. It's not as easy to overlook being unhappy about certain aspects of any job if you are not getting what you think you deserve. Rant over.
  16. Johnny has got the attitude you're looking for. It's just the NFL talent that he lacks. Btw. Last I checked he and the other hobbits were still trying to deal with Smaug.
  17. Another strong episode to start the second half of the season . I was disappointed at first that they didn't keep going with a full Daryl episode, but I like how they put everyone right under each other's noses likes ships passing in the night. I won't like it as much if they drag it out with near misses all season. Only problem with the episode was Glenn running right through a pack of walkers because he had riot gear on. I know it's nitpicking, but that was bs. If riot gear was all it took to survive running through a pack of walkers, why could Glenn do it when trained professionals like the military couldn't? Oh yeah, and that little girl that looked like she was about to kill Judith is a psycho that I hope gets eaten.
  18. Good one. If you're not joking, you do realize there are at least four receivers ahead of Rogers on their roster. That includes their own version of Chris Hogan in Griff Whalen.
  19. Just a hypothetical question based on your contention that it can't be denied that his production does not merit his salary. He's played two years under his current deal, one of which he had right around the numbers I gave you. This past year, he had a down year WRT production. If he had the numbers I gave you this upcoming season, would his production merit his salary in your mind? I guess what I'm asking is do you believe that his one bad year is the rule, rather than the exception. Extrapolating, should we cut every player who had a down year where they didn't earn their salary? I'm asking on a production level only, injuries concerns being taken out of the equation. FTR, I agree that his nagging injuries are concerning, though this was the first year he's actually missed games due to them.
  20. So if he were to post 75 rec, 1000 yards and 6 tds this upcoming season, would his production merit his salary?
