  1. This. Even if he wasn't playing for the Steelers or Patriots, having the same defensive scheme would have been a nice change. Instead, it changed what, 4 out of 5 years?
  2. I don't blame Byrd or the Bills. I blame the people who think his name is Jarius. Per some random guy somewhere, it's a really big pet peeve of his and he can't take it anymore.
  3. I guess SU losing their 3rd game of the year on the road to the #12 team in the nation while down one of the top players in the nation is a lot worse than Kansas losing their 7th game of the year on the road against an unranked team. Makes sense.
  4. Not having Grant hurts bad. It gets a lot worse when Ennis gets in foul trouble early because of charges. I have no idea what a charge is anymore.
  5. And so my love/hate relationship with Boeheim marches on. Way to finally put Roberson in the game when it's already over. Late season over micromanaging at it's finest.
  6. I hope Ennis continues his recent trend of looking for his own offense more, especially if Grant can't go or is limited. It would also be a great time for Cooney to break out of his slump. Let's go Cuse!
  7. I'll be the guy throwing eggs at the wagon. I think he'll be a bust. He could possibly have one RG3 like season, but it will be all downhill after that. He'll either get injured or defenses will figure out his backyard football style pretty quickly. FTR. I also think RG3 was a one year wonder.
  8. Good one. I actually thought you were serious until I read that.
  9. You could be right. I think of Mettenberger the same way I thought of Mallett. Big guys with huge arms. Since we've referenced both QB's, I think this article is interesting: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000250467/article/ask-5-whos-better-aaron-murray-or-zach-mettenberger
  10. I didn't know this but it makes me like him even more.
  11. I like this. I'm also a big fan of Mettenberger and his arm strength plus the value added with how far he'll fall because of his injury.
  12. Jordy was off the board before we took Hardy. Nelson went 36th and Hardy went 41st. That year McKelvin was our first and only 1st round pick at 11.
  13. Agreed. Athletic, versatile, and from what I've read and seen, has good football smarts. Diagnoses plays well. For example, how he keyed Byrd into an easy interception against the Jets by recognizing a play. And if we sign him early, we could get a bunch of years with him at huge value.
  14. The first rule about Hairston's injury is: you do not talk about Hairston's injury. The second rule about Hairston's injury is: you DO NOT talk about Hairston's injury.
  15. I don't know enough about each college team to pick out a lesser known player from them. But I have watched every Syracuse game the past couple years. I think DT Jay Bromley will be a real good player but I think we'll avoid him because he's a Cuse guy. His measurables aren't that noteworthy but he always put his stamp on games. I think he could be picked in the late 5th or later.
  16. He's expected to be able to go on Saturday. Boeheim said he'll be spending a lot of time in the whirlpool this week.
  17. Agree on all points. I understand them getting to the free throw line more because they went to the rim more, but it's the size of the discrepancy that is disturbing. Christmas couldn't breathe on someone without catching a foul. Ennis is the man. I like that he has been finding his own offense a lot more the past couple games, even if he had the tough shooting night against Duke. The tempered aggression is good. His hesitation move to get to the rim is just pretty to watch. I hold out hope that if a Cooney keeps chugging along it'll come together for him. Thankfully, he's a good and active defender.
  18. Being annoyed by Glen is like standard operating procedure for me... so yeah.
  19. Another good episode. I like the Michonne-Carl friendship angle. The Rick story line was good. The scientist is a weirdo.
  20. Phew! A win is a win no matter how ugly. I hope Grant is okay for the Virginia game. Having only 6 guys Boehiem will actually play will kill us. If Grant was in, I think we win tonight going away. He's the guy who keeps them honest around the rim. P.s. I'm exhausted after watching this game.
  21. Nice. The first season is among my favorites of any show ever but the show did regress towards the end. Count me in for watching this in 2015. On a side note, I hope the next show someone tries to revive is The 4400. Similar to Heroes in content. It was canceled before the last season.
  22. 8 or 9 spot drop is laughable. Florida will take #1 and they have 2 losses. Syracuse should be 3 but will probably drop to 5.
  23. Worked some overtime today. Now I'm ready to mix up some gin and tonics and enjoy the hell out of this game. Go Cuse!
