  1. Trent Edwards. I thought he was going to be the greatest. That turned out well. Close second would be Kiko. He was a stud in college and it showed that this regime was willing to take chances on kids with checkered pasts. It doesn't always work out, but you definitely miss out on some real good players if you never take the chance.
  2. It amazes me how thin skinned some on here are. Some take every chance available to take offense to a perceived slight. Here's a quote for those of you who feel vilified for your positive/negative opinions on Manuel: "You know what I'm going to get for you for Christmas, (insert either "Hater" or "Hugger")? A big wooden cross, so that every time you feel unappreciated for your sacrifices, you can climb on up and nail yourself to it."
  3. EJ can be great. Will he? Not sure...but I'm willing to give him some time.
  4. I've been on the Mettenberger bandwagon for some time now, though I thought the injury would scare people off and drop him to the 4th or later. The kid has a cannon and he's willing to let it go. If he falls to the 3rd I am all for us taking him. I honestly don't know if I'd want the team to take him in the second. I have not given up on EJ and I'm against a 1st round QB pick. If we were to trade back and acquire another 2nd round pick though, then I'd be much more open to us taking him in the second. We'd get a guy who without the injury could have been in consideration for top QB overall.
  5. I expect 2 to be drafted, possibly 3. Jerome Smith - RB Jay Bromley - DT Marquis Spruill - LB. He could be drafted late but i doubt it. I'm sure someone will take a chance on him as an undrafted free agent though.
  6. Great trade. Very pleased with this offseason so far. It gives us even more flexibility with our draft picks now. I hope we trade back and somehow end up with Benjamin and a good tackle.
  7. Awesome post. I haven't read the comics but am always curious to hear where the show strayed. You did a great job of relaying some differences without giving away future plot points. Thanks.
  8. Jairus Byrd......Aaaand I, will always love you..... Ok. That's more than enough Whitney Houston channeling from me. Also, Russell Wilson. Perfect example of the type of player/person you want as the face of your franchise.
  9. Screw Manziel, I still think we should give that Tebow guy a chance.
  10. Is anyone else anxious to hear what the mullet says the cause of the outbreak is? I thought they were going to finally reveal it at the fire inside of the tunnel but they didn't. Edit: I can't remember if they ever told us what the cause was when they were at the CDC seasons back but I don't think they did.
  11. Those are my two favorite teams to watch play. With them out, I was rooting for Wichita State to have an undefeated season. That went up in smoke. I guess I'm rooting for Stanford or Michigan State now. I like Izzo so I can get on board with them.
  12. Manziel (one of the three you're referencing) and reading defenses in the same sentence is funny. The kid is definitely exciting and can make plays out of nothing, but read defenses better than EJ? Not so much.
  13. Hopefully Cooney stays off the milk carton and Rak stays out of foul trouble tonight. If they do, we should be on to the Sweet Sixteen!
  14. At work and regretting it. Taping the game and attempting to go into a cone of silence....but realistically I know I'll make it til just before I leave at 430 and some idiot will scream the score to me in the parking lot. Oh well. GO CUSE!
  15. I think it's debatable. Every teams' affirmation seems like a bit of an exaggeration. I'm pretty sure an anonymous GM said there is no QB he would even consider drafting in this class. I have no link but I believe I heard it on a popular national radio show. I've also heard and read quite a few experts going back on their previous opinions about how good this QB class is. I agree that they might all go top ten, but i believe it has more to do with the demand for any viable QB option than the supply of actual top ten QB talent.
  16. WOW! Just........WOW! Also, my respect for Tyreese just continues to grow.
  17. WOW! Louisville got a 4 seed. Crazy.
  18. I've seen intensity, it's just tough to keep intensity and cohesiveness when you can't hit shots. Every additional brick just sucks more air out of the teams' morale. As much as Ennis can lead, CJ is their leader. If he struggles the team loses some of its mojo. I still believe all of their problems are solved by making shots. They couldn't have shot worse against NC State, but they were still in it at the end. That shouldn't be possible when you shoot that bad. Admittedly, I might be more optimistic about them than most. It ain't over till the fat lady gets kicked out of the buffet! Go Cuse!
