  1. I think (and hope) it's just precautionary. Like he has a bruise or something so they hold him out and let Bryant/Charles/Cohen get a shot with the ones. They already know he's ready so why risk anything.
  2. Yup, he certainly has no business playing in the NFL... 2014 Preseason stats: 38/60, 481 yards, 5 TD's, 0 ints It is only preseason and it has been against backups but he's looking significantly better this year. I wasn't here at the time last year, but i was one that wanted the Bills to draft him. I am happy they went with EJ, but I still think Nassib could do alright in the right system, which it looks like he's in now. FTR, I am a Syracuse homer.
  3. Good point. I think that Gilmore is best against bigger (and generally slower) receivers.
  4. Most Improved goes to Hogan with Jeff Tuel getting honorable mention.... looks like Chris Brown is trolling this board.
  5. I could be wrong but I didn't think Randell was in any danger of being cut or put on the practice squad. He took some bad angles in the HOF game but played relatively well the last two games. He's an athletic freak, so I wouldn't think they would even risk putting a guy with that much upside on practice squad for fear of losing him.
  6. Not to speak for that poster but the post you quoted reeked of sarcasm.
  7. He did an interview with Brent Axe and Chris McManus on ESPN in Syracuse about five minutes before the WGR interview as well. It was the pretty much the same, except for a little friendly trash talking about Clemson vs Cuse coming up in October and without any of Schopp's pessimism. He's definitely a great interview.
  8. I heard Sal talking about it as well. Here is what i gathered: -He said that when the Bills drafted him, they knew they weren't getting the most accurate guy in the world and that he believes his ceiling would be about 60%. -It's not fair to call him captain checkdown because he was taking what was given. -He's seen some progress but wishes EJ was better at certain things. IMO, it was a pretty fair assessment. He never said bust. He was just trying to say that we should never expect him to be elite with accuracy, but that could still end up being a good QB if he continues to work at and hone the skills he does have.
  9. I personally don't like him as QB and I honestly think he's a bag, but, I can't deny that I am excited to watch this game tonight and it's all because of JFF. Spectacularly good or spectacularly bad is still spectacular.
  10. Too bad Watkins isn't practicing. I was hoping to see a tweet saying something like, "First team offense has Watkins and Williams out wide with Woods in the slot."
  11. It's never been a sound for me. It's always been a smell and feel. When you wake up in the morning and go outside and there is a nip in the air and you smell the damp grass after a chilly night, it's football time.
