  1. Maybe they're waiting because they don't want the official contract numbers/structure out until Miami makes a move with Clay?
  2. It's easy for you to say because you're obviously omniscient. You're one of the lucky ones who's never worked a job for a while and realized a year or so later it wasn't what you wanted and decided to change career paths.
  3. I was trying to figure that out as well. I watched that scene 5 times and couldn't make it out.
  4. At this point, I'm beginning to question whether or not there really is a Charles Clay. Charles Clay = Keyser Soze
  5. Big fan of VCU. That said, they are a very small team. They play D like they're on fire. They lost their best defender (Briante Weber) earlier in the year but have dealt with it well enough. I think they are good enough to best Ohio St but lose a close game to Arizona. If you haven't seen them yet, they are extremely up tempo and fun to watch.
  6. He would be on a list which would include players that I would consider "unknown". It's why I didn't include players like Bridgewater or Carr. I haven't seen enough to decide yet.
  7. GunnerBill and I seem to be thinking similarly. Here is the list of QB's I think could win a Super Bowl with this team in 2015 in no particular order: Rodgers Brady Wilson Brees Manning (x2) Rivers Roethlisberger Luck Flacco Romo Ryan Stafford Palmer Newton I think this group could get you close but not get the job done: A. Smith Tannehill Dalton Cutler (i could see him in both groups) Foles Bradford (though he's really an unknown because he's missed so much time) I could be wrong in my evaluations, but it's why I wouldn't make that trade. He's good enough to get a huge extension, but not win the Super Bowl. I said it before in this thread and I'll say it again, if I'm wrong about Tanny I will own it.
  8. You're 100% wrong here. You can't take the names out. This poll is specifically about Ryan Tannehill. You always go on about how stats lie. You've repeated that over and over when comparing Clay and Chandler. The stats only matter now because they prove your point. I don't think Tannehill would win the Super Bowl with this roster (the best he would ever play with), so that means I don't think he'll ever get it done. Why trade for a guy and pay him $15m+ a year to be almost good enough? I wouldn't. Could Tannehill prove me wrong, sure, but I don't think so. The goal is to win it all, not come close.
  9. Nickelback is something I wish could be forgotten.
  10. I had the same thoughts.
  11. What an incredible episode! The poisoning by the queen of Mercier. Athelstan's dalliance being discovered by the prince. Lagertha showing that she cannot be played so easily. As to the wanderer, wow! Someone suggested Odin, but if it was a god, I would guess it would be the trickster Loki. Things definitely got turned up a notch with this episode. Favorite moment for me was when Ragnar and Ecbert were chatting quietly alone. Ragnar: Are you corrupt? Ecbert: Oh yes. Are you? Ragnar: Mm hmm. I literally couldn't stop laughing for a couple minutes.
  12. I'm just glad I'm not the only one anymore. When it was 28 - 1, I was questioning my sanity. Edit: Still kind of am.
  13. I don't know how it'll turn out but I love the fact that the kid wants a chance to be a starter and is willing to risk making less by betting on himself.
  14. Watched Nightcrawler last night and it was fantastic. Gyllenhaal was incredible. I'm very shocked he didn't even get nominated for an Oscar. He's done some amazing work before (Donnie Darko, Enemy, etc.), but he has absolutely established himself as one of the best in the business with this performance.
  15. I think you're a little quick to celebrate. It's similar to what Rob told Mikey in the movie Swingers. You've hated Pears for so long, when that hatred goes away over time, you're going to miss that hatred. Just wait, a couple years from now you'll be calling for the Bills to sign him to a 1 day contract to retire as a Bill so you can go to his retirement announcement and heckle him about being a giant turd as a tackle/guard.
  16. I do feel a little crazy saying that 6-10 winning years is not good enough after all the years of losing. The Alex Smith comparison is perfect. You've definitely created a good topic for discussion with this thread, at least for me. Cheers!
  17. That is where my hesitation comes from. We could still draft a guy, but I think Tanny is just good enough to make us think he's the guy and that we do not need to go after an upgrade. I feel like we'd spend the next 6-10 years getting close to the mountain top without reaching the summit.
