Officiating has always been crap. Conference to conference it differs for some odd reason. The old Big East sometimes seemed like it was being officiated by the Cable Guy using prison rules.

Holy misinterpretation Batman! In the post you quoted, I said nothing about the validity of his comments on officiating. I responded to a poster who said I should email Bo to get clarification on the rent a player comments. He would be lying if he tried to say he was talking about 5th year guys, because he wasn't. Since you bring up the validity of his comments on officiating though, I do think it's just sour grapes. Wisconsin got the calls all year, as do a lot of marquee programs. Were you this upset when Wisconsin got more calls than UK? The officiating in that game was much more egregious and played a larger role in the result. UK was better in most of the statistical measures. Duke and Wisconsin were statistically pretty even. Edit: For all the crap Calipari gets, he handled their loss extremely well. None of this changes the fact that Bo Ryan is still an excellent coach.

Good for her. I just hope she doesn't fall into the trap that I've seen before where things could be misconstrued as her overcompensating. Like letting things go others wouldn't. I've only ever seen a female referee in a male sport in the UFC. My biggest gripe with her is that, and I readily admit she might just truly be a savage, she always breaks grappling up WAY too quickly. She does it to get the striking portion going again because it's what people want to see, especially the mouth breathers. Yes, it's exciting, but she'll stop things that could potentially end in a choke out a minute later if she let them work. It's like she's pandering mostly to the dbags who watch the sport. She's one of the worst because of this. I know there was some issue with Chris Paul and a female ref but I don't know enough about that to comment.

No. I'm good. I don't need Ryan to lie to me in an email. Myself, and I'd guess 99% of the country know what he meant. Like JR said, he was heated and tried to back pedal away from it by referring to 5th year players. We've all said things we shouldn't have in the heat of the moment at one point or anther. Honest question. Do you really believe that if last year Andrew Wiggins wanted to go to Wisconsin he would have turned him away?

If your son was a top ten recruit, Bo Ryan wouldn't take him. There'd be too much of a chance that he could leave early being that highly regarded. It wouldn't be worth the risk to Ryan's integrity.

I really hope the Sabres lock up last place before Saturday and then go all out for the win against Pittsburgh.

Our D was getting a ton of credit last year, Rex being here will make people take notice even more this year. I might have went a little overboard putting the entire D line in. I was really close to giving Bradham the nod as well.
