  1. I just hope both of the young guys beat out Cassel when that time comes.
  2. I've gotta stop listening to Schopp on my way home from work. I'm on the EJ optimism train, and he just keeps trying to derail it. Saying that it's obvious Rex doesn't like EJ because of his comments yesterday and that they probably aren't really even considering him. That EJ would have to be loads better. I know Schopp is full of crap, and yet, I let a little doubt creep in.
  3. I like his ability to knock down shots, but the pouting that reared it's ugly head in games 4-6 was infuriating. So not only was he shooting terribly, but he was feeling bad for himself and not hustling back on D or running hard to get open because of it. I thought he had changed after coming to a better team with more accountability, but I was wrong. Good riddance.
  4. Yeah. My mistake. I definitely read it wrong. Lane drivers is the answer. I'm going to check out of the LJ-MJ discussion though.
  5. I could see why they'd want Meh. They know that all they need is Trent Dilfer with their defense and offensive weapons to compete for a ring. The guy most likely to play like Dilfer would be Meh. Rolling with one of the other guys, would come with the likelihood of more mistakes because they're less of a known commodity than Meh. If Rex got a ring this year, his tenure is pretty much locked up and he can try a project QB with no pressure. I just hope Manuel or Tyrod run away with it.
  6. I like this Chenelly guy. He seems pretty connected.
  7. Like I said, no one really of note. It does. Having a big man on the court is a detriment to the team guarding small lineups with great outside shooters.
  8. I'll give you this, center has been a dying position in recent years(hopefully guys like Towns/Embid/Okafor change that). Hell. Just look at the Warriors. Outside shooting has been the prominent way of scoring for years now. I believe that guards and small forwards are much more talented as a whole nowadays.
  9. Saying the league wasn't as deep as everyone says it was isn't the same thing as saying the Bulls weren't loaded.
  10. Only one worth noting was Mo Williams, and they basically swapped players for the same production.
  11. So because the rules allowed hand checking and more physicality, it's that means all of the teams were deeper or better? To me, it just means the rules were different.
  12. The Celtics teams that LeBron faced are easily better than those Pacers. It is an entirely different game now, so I don't know how the Celtics would have fared against the Pistons barnball. How would have the Pistons fared playing against the late 00's Celtics in today's NBA, where you can't play barnball? I don't agree that the league was so much better back then as everyone always claims. Now, with more people growing up playing basketball than ever (credit to Jordan, Magic and the rest of the Dream Team), there's somehow less talent. I just don't buy it. I say LeBron can play all 5, because I've seen it, so it's not ridiculous. He doesnt need to guard every position for an entire series, but if they need him to, he can for lengthy periods of games. I don't know if he could check a point guard like Paul for entire series, though I believe he could, or at least could have. He's shut down Rose when needed. He's offered good D against Howard and Hibbert when needed. He can guard anyone 2-4 without question. Link? Make sure it's at least close. Edit: Other players have lifted their teammates, so that was an error on my part. I meant as much as LeBron has.
  13. None of them. What subpar team did he ever win a first round series with? To one of your points in your last post, the reason everyone gives LeBron credit for making everyone around him better, is because no one ever singlehandedly lifted the play of each of his teammates the way LeBron has. 1992 Bulls (with MJ) - 57 wins 1993 Bulls (w/o MJ) - 55 wins 2008 Cavs (with LJ) - 61 wins 2009 Cavs (w/o LJ) - 19 wins I can't think of anyone who's ever left a team and seen that much of a dropoff.
  14. That loss to the Mavs was absolutely on LeBron, can't deny that.
  15. LeBron is also a supreme defender. He can defend 5 positions. MJ never carried a terrible team anywhere. He didn't do jack without a good supporting cast. The first playoff series he won only came when he had Pippen, Grant, Paxson and Oakley. I wouldn't call getting swept in the first round two years in a row scaring the Celtics. Maybe he scared the Bucks when he lost to them 1-3 in the first round when he was a rookie at age 22. When LeBron was 22, he carried to the Finals one of the worst roster that's ever been there. The legend of Jordan is greater than Jordan ever was. Also, the Heat were not as loaded as any Bulls championship team. The first two years, when Bosh and Wade were healthy, the Heat were close. After that, they were gimpy and the supporting cast wasn't nearly as good as the Bulls had. 1. LJ 2. MJ
  16. Johnny be like, "Nahhh." https://www.yahoo.com/sports/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/johnny-manziel-says-his--money-sign--will-not-be-back-190901291.html
  17. The hack may or may not be attributable to the slow eyes of security personnel.
  18. My mistake. I disagree with that part. Everything else he said was false.
