True Detective begins tonight. I don't think it can be as good as season one (how could it be), but I still think it should be good. I'm hoping my lowered expectations will have a positive effect. It'll be nice to see Vince Vaughn not have to play a Vince Vaughn character for the first time in a long time. Starts tonight at 9pm ET.

Silicon Valley had a fantastic finish. The only thing the show could do better, would be to have more scenes with Big Head, but overuse could also have the reverse effect. From episode 9: Big Head - "Three more classes and I get my boat license." Richard - "Oh really. How many classes are there?" Big Head - "Three. Just three classes." :lol:

Fox coverage is awful. From the awful music intro/outro's to them missing shots while they show the announcers patting each other on the back for making awful jokes. This to me just seems like an attempt to bring the NASCAR demographic to golf and it is brutal.

Below average at every other skill set? No. He's. Not.I think he's average to good at every tight end skill except blocking. I've said that repeatedly. I've never heard of him having issues with the playbook, so I'd assume he's at least average there. I do think you are crazy to think there are 79 other tight ends in the league better athletically which is what you said originally. No point in going further though. Having watched Chandler (in addition to about 10-14 other tight ends every week) as much as you have, I have a very different opinion than you. I am not willing to blindly believe that 2nd and 3rd string tight ends on other teams are better than Chandler but just haven't had the opportunity. Tim Wright and every other TE on NE certainly aren't by most accounts. Edit: If I've been scattered or insulting, I've been at happy hour since six and posting between pool and dart shots. I always liked Chandler and thought he catches too much flak, but I get a little overly defensive after a few. Apologies. I'm going to go see if I can get turned down by some woman. I'd put him in the top 1/3 of the league. I told you what you exaggerated in my last post, that being all of what you said with the exception of blocking. You've now exaggerated how he was viewed as a prospect coming out of college. He was drafted in the 4th round, and was the 4th rated prospect coming out. His measurables were nearly the same as Gavin Escobar's. You want me to answer whether he is top ## in whatever category you asked above? I can't do that, and neither can you. If you did rank the other 79 players that you're inferring are more athletic than him ahead of him, I can only say you'd be confirming your own bias. You would just assume that unknown 3rd string receiver for Jax is more athletic, because you don't like Chandler. He's not that unathletic. Will he be the same player with Brady that he was with Bills QB's, certainly. He will be just as good as he's always been, just with someone better throwing to him. I just think he's better than you do.

You've exaggerated a lot here. He is better than you give him credit for at everything except blocking. He really struggles there. He might not be as athletic as you'd like (I think I know your philosophy there), but he has produced. I don't think he's great, but he certainly doesn't suck. He's much closer to good than suck. Of course Murray and Collie were overrated, good QB's have made average receivers/tight ends look good/great since football began. Same with OL and RB's. The inverse is true as well. OL's and QB's have made players look worse and vise versa. FTR. I voted Spiller, who just so happens to be a victim of poor usage and has a lot people that would say he sucks too.

So...don't be fooled if he plays good, because he's not good, even if he looks good, he's not the reason he looks good, because of free agency last year. Keep in mind, a team did sign him this year.

I agree that we're both speculating. I just personally don't buy into the thought that being a teacher means that they should automatically be deferred to in any academic situation involving a student. In my experience, teachers have not always necessarily known how to deal with gifted students. Honest discourse could have been construed as a disruption to them. I could be wrong. He could have just been a d***. The 90 student protest organized that I believe was organized by the National Honor Society President leads me to believe that the transgressions couldn't have been bad enough to deserve this, but again, I'm speculating.

What problems has he had with his mouth, specifically? Or are you just taking the word of the teachers, who probably don't enjoy being challenged about anything, especially by someone mentally superior to them?
