The terms make it nearly impossible for him to ever have to tell, while also leaving the door slightly open. A report would have to come out literally quoting Roman saying "Prior to the Browns preseason game, I was leaning towards Cassel." No matter who end up starting, him saying that would serve no purpose. Metz is in no danger of ever having tell who his source is publicly, unless he just feels like it.

TT looked good. His first drive took around 9-10 minutes off the clock and should have resulted in points. He made some throws from the pocket that I was hoping to see. Had good pocket presence and was decisive. I'd like to see him let plays develop a little longer, but I'll credit him for going all in with the decision he makes. EJ looked good as well. A couple bad throws (overthrow & underthrow) early while on the move. He moved around the pocket and kept his eyes downfield better than he has in the past. Went through his progressions pretty well and overcame his awful OL to win the game. Beautiful throws on the final drive.

Gruden said it was suspect. He had no idea what he was talking about. The throw was perfect, Davis had his guy beat, the CB grabbed Davis right on the collar and yanked him back before the ball got there. Nothing suspect about it.

We don't know that. TT could be. Hard to unseat a Super Bowl winning QB. I still hold out hope for EJ. He's improving. Cassel, I do not have hope for. Though if he's chosen, I'll support him.

Not really. Rex brought in his guy (TT) and Roman brought in his (Cassel). IMO, I think that EJ would have had to seriously outperform the other two to get the starting nod because he was #3 going into OTA's. EJ hasn't outperformed them. TT has shown the best, and by most reports, EJ and Cassel have been about equal which means that EJ is still behind both. It is a little odd that EJ worked back in with the 1's yesterday after being exclusively 2's and 3's last week. Hopefully they all keep showing well though. Go Bills!

Nassib also started in Gilbride's system which was bad for him. When McAdoo was brought in, Nassib picked up the system quicker than Eli and looked great last preseason. He's looked good this preseason too. We shouldn't trade for him because our QB situation is looking a lot better right now, but Nassib will get a chance somewhere in the next couple years.
