  1. That ended up getting rough. It was competitive until I posted that. Are your announcers always that bad? One tripped over his words the whole game.
  2. Don't know if you're watching the Sens-Jackets game tonight, but it is a crazy offensive battle so far.
  3. And he's also got a weak d*** game. #pornskanks #whereisjauronimo
  4. I disagree. I think it shows that Whaley knows that the value of a 3rd year player with every physical tool you could want at QB is far greater than that of a 10th year player with a noodle arm who has bounced around the league. If EJ hadn't shown the promise that he did as camp progressed, as evidenced by most reports and his teammates recent comments, I believe Whaley would have shown him the door.
  5. I'm confident that they wouldn't trade Manuel unless the offer was truly good enough. For Cassel, they were willing to take a year's membership in the Jelly of the Month club. They just happened to get a pick thrown in as well.
  6. True. Plus, Robert Woods has bad body language a lot anyways, even with Tyrod this year.
  7. Especially when the prevailing thought last year was that the receivers mutinied on him.
  8. Great post Poojer! You're a valuable member of the community.
  9. Thanks. I was channeling my inner Chicken Little there for a minute. It certainly seems that way sometimes.
  10. "Is the future...now?!?" This hot take and more coming to a thread near you after the EJ led Bills beat the Bengals this Sunday!
  11. The bolded quote has me a little concerned. It reads like he's expecting it to pop.
  12. I think EJ will still play but getting TT prepared isn't a bad thing. Keeps the Bengals guessing.
  13. It will be funny if we had all this drama and Taylor started anyway.
  14. We never had three kickers. We had two kickers and a punter. Glad we cleared that up.
  15. He got up slow after a couple tackles where he was holding his neck on the ground. They also showed the trainers checking his neck out on the sidelines after one of those tackles.
  16. He doesn't look like Super Shredder so we can rule out Landry.
  17. WRT to how the team handled QB controversy in the past, I'm not willing to hold that against Whaley. It is different ownership now and he is a new GM. I do not believe Whaley should be immune to fair criticism. Whaley's job is to put together the best team he can. I do not believe that if a good QB was available for trade/free agent pickup, he would say no because he drafted EJ. Whaley brought Taylor and Cassel in as competition. IMO, the two best QB's with any potential to be the future of this franchise remain on this team. I do not believe getting rid of Cassel was a mistake. Any team down to its 3rd string QB is likely going to lose. I doubt very many teams plan on ever having to play a 3rd QB. Cassel's ceiling, IMO, was 9-7 and his floor was 7-9. I'd rather have a potential tire fire of a season where we find out that we need to get a new QB (draft/trade/FA) than to be mired in mediocrity.
  18. I don't agree. If Whaley's future rested/rests on him having a QB that can make this team successful, I don't think it would matter where he got that QB (draft or free agency) as long as that QB performs well. He would be the guy who brought that QB in.
  19. FTR, even though I've been an EJ supporter I do like Taylor.
  20. Bills - 27 Bengals - 17 D/ST score this game.
  21. That has been my only real concern with Taylor's play (other than staying healthy). He hasn't moved through his progressions well even when he has had the time. He seemed to go through his progressions more in preseason, IMO. In fairness, there's no point in going through progressions when the first read is open, he has just left some plays out there by sticking with his first read.
  22. If EJ does play, I think we'll see a lot more throws to the middle of the field.
