  1. Agreed. Only if cheap and even then the pay back might not be there. Needless to say even if we do bring in Traylor and he sticks this year it would not be a multi year deal, IMO. So then you would have 3 of our top 4 DT's being UFA's, since Ron E, Sam A, and K Tray would all be. It behooves us to see what RE and TA can do because we have some tough decisions to make next year at that position.
  2. AKC: I like that perspective and you and AJZepp have had a nice tango so lets get back to football and .....antagonism. AJZ: Back to football. I can't remember which one of you was the proponent of bringing in K Traylor but I agree with if he does come cheap. No need to cut Henry just to sign this guy. That said, there is a decent chance TA or RE will elevate his play on downs 1 and 2 to the point where the drop off from Pat Will should be only moderate. I doubt either will be as effective or better this year. Lets not forget that young vets in their last year before being UFA's usually playing very well. My guess is RE handles more of downs 1 and 2 than TA and TA comes in to spell both RE and SA. RE will surpeise a bit this year, IMO and if so, Tom D should try to extend him to reasonable terms (totally up for debate, I know) before the season ends. Go Bills! Peace!
  3. You both are in my prayers that all turns out well.
  4. I didn't like the draft from round 2-4 either but am hopeful that we will be surprised with those guys. From what Ive heard from the Bills and the guys we selected in rnds 5-7, I like them. Those two OL guys sound like good tough players and I am pretty certain Preston is our starter OC next year if not this later year because of injuries. I also think that Geisler (sp?) could be our third Guard if Teague goes to LT and Tucker to OC. I would have really liked to see A Terry or Justin Miller in rnd 2 but I know the Bills were intent on helping themselves this year --- I really don't agree with drafting like that to be honest with you. But since it is done I hope that Parrish and Everett CAN help this year! Go Bills!
  5. Wrong. Randle El is 5'10" 192 lbs. He has lots more meat on his bones. Az hakim is even 5' 10, 185. D Patten 5 10, 190. W Cherbet 5 10, 188. D Hall 5 8 187 S Moss 5 10 185 I don't know of ANY 3rd WR's that are successful and this small off-hand. Not saying he won't be good but I just don't know of any quite like him. HELP ME OUT HERE! Is there a productive WR in the NFL close to his size right now? I don't think so! In the past, maybe Desmond Howard but he was pretty much a non factor in the passing game. I WILL BE SURPRISED if this kid in very productive as a WR. Probably a very good punt returner though... Oh that is right, Antonia Brown of the Redskins is close at 5 10, 175.... Just kidding!
  6. Exactly and R Parrish has great speed, quickness, and elusiveness. He should be a very good slot receiver for many years. I will all depend on him staying healthy but since it is hard to hit him squarely he just might hold up very nicely. I personally was not too excited whne I saw his name/postion and was hoping for A Terry. I think the Bills would have been very excited if K Barnes fell all the way to them, IMHO.
  7. oops or the Bills right at 20!
  8. The fact is, JP is NOT in this draft and we needed a young QB of the future last year in case Drew play much better than in the past. We got JP and he has been learning and will start this year. If we did not make the trade and did not pick another young QB of the future up last year then I would say that we would have had our chance to pick Rodgers this year and could have started Kelly Holcomb until he was ready. What was the better move? We shall see!!! By the way, IF JP was in THIS draft somehow, I believe he would have been picked late in the first round (Washington, GB) -- just based on QB needs of teams.
  9. There are so many good people on this board I just could not pass up posting this. Help with prayers and/or donations, if you can. My friend's email and the website address is below. Thanks! 10. Bingo. Herdon's is clear - it is just a cloudy, dark afernoon in that picture.
  11. I MEAN CAPS!
  12. MY opinions on these positions in BOLD.... I see us getting a 3rd QB in the draft, later rounds FREE AGENT ROOKIE OR VET OR MAYBE A VERY LATE ROUNDER DEPENDING ON WHO IS AVAILABLE We probably draft our backup RB (GORE) in the 4th round or so AGREED IF WE DONT SIGN A YOUNGER VET We still need a solid TE I THINK TD WILL BE VERY PATIENT HERE AND PROBABLY NOT DO ANYTHING EXCEPT A LATE SPRING SIGNING DEPENDING ON THE PROGRESS OF EUHUS AND CAMPBELL. NEUFIELD RESIGN IS LIKELY IMHO. We may need a kicker YES. CHEAP We need a LG and LT YES. We need a #2 corner, IMHO POSSIBLY A #1/2 CORNER FOR NEXT YEAR IF THEY LET CLEMENTS GO BUT WHEN YOU WEIGHT IN THAT VINCENT COULD PLAY CORNER WE DO HAVE 2 LEGIT STARTERS AND 2 LEGIT BACKUPS (THOMAS/GREER). We probably draft another DT MAYBE OR A VET IN F?A ON THE CHEAP--ALL ABOUT VALUE FOR THE $ We may need another WR depending on Reed and Aiken ALL DEPENDS ON THE VALUE AVAILABLE LATE IN THE DRAFT We need LB depth seriously (either FA or high draft picks) With 2 safeties likely gone we need one. REGARDING S AND LB IT IS ALL ABOUT VALUE. DOUBTFUL WE SIGN ANY VETS UNLESS THE ARE YOUNG AND CHEAP. THOSE POSITIONS ARE SOLID AND WE CAN USE DEPTH IN ALL POSITIONS REALLY. TD WILL FILL THE MAJOR HOLES WITHOUT PAYING TOP DOLLAR. THAT SAID, I DONT'T THINK the CONTRACT PAT WILLIAMS GOT WAS VERY LARGE AND WE COULD HAVE SIGN HIM EASILY> THEY JUST THOUGHT THAT BETWEEN EDWARDS AND ANDERSON, THE MONEY COULD BE BETTER SPENT ELSEWHERE> I DISAGREE A BIT BUT THE CUPBOARD IS NIT BARE THERE AT LEAST! GO BILLS!
  13. Definitely possibly. I just dont think the Bills will do it. I do think Vincent and McKenzie are possibilities later in Free Agency.
  14. Exactly. TD did not try to sign those guys b/c he knew that what he would be willing to pay would not be neverly enough when compared to the open market. While I love Pat Williams, I just don't think the Bills should pay what he would need in order to stay a Bill. I don't even like what I have seen from Anderson so far but he was a rookie and the Bills didnt spend a 3rd b/c they think he is not starter material. That sadi I need to see it and expect that Edwards will start the season as our starting DT. As far as L OT, I don't know who it will be but Price is a possiblity.
  15. I do believe that TD will let Williams and JJ go. I am hopeful that he signs Price for a backup T and either draft an OT in the 2nd or 3rd or trade for Shelton. I think TD will get 1 OR 2 internal OLinemen.
  16. We are DOOOOMED!
  17. I agree with you IF he stays (less than 3 missed starts) healthy. My biggest concerns with JP for the short term and long term are his ability to stay healthy and make good decisions. Actually bu doing the second, it helps reach the goal for the first. Definitely where he will make it or break it...

  19. One possibility is Charlie Batch, if he is and is on schedule to be healthy. Pros: He knows Mularky's and Clement's system, he is fairly mobile, good arm strength, would be willing to be a #2 QB and would probably get a chance to compete for the starting job for at least the beginning of the season. He is a vet and only 31 (or 30?). He will come fairly cheap and we won;t have to trade for him as he is an UFA. Cons: He has not played for a long time and has not played well for an even longer time (last 2 years starting his Lions O was falling apart, Herman Moore there other WR were hurt alot and they had a beat up James Stewart instead of Barry Sansers...). Not sure about his work ethic or attitude but I have never heard anything bad about him and he has never been in trouble with the law that I know... Thoughts? I would not mind it, thinking about who else is available.
  20. I like Milloy as a player but you can see why he refused a pay cut so he could get all the money he could for his family's sake. Nothing to do with ego. Shoot I'd much rather make 3 million a year that 1.5 chump change. He would have two more SB rings if he stuck it our. No way I cut lose from a team I've been a part of since day 1 and had already won a SB on because JUST b/c of money whn I am still banking big money. NO WAY.
  21. Exactly. Our 1st Round pick is #20 to Dallas and Jax and Balt follow in Rnd 1, but it rotates in the next round so I believe we pick 22nd in the 2nd rnd, 21st in the 3rd, 20th in the 4th, 22nd in 5th, et. al.
  22. That is a 48 month LEASE not to purchse the car, correct?
  23. Great! Now I can quit procrastinating on this reserach paper I need to write because there is nothing funnier I can read tonight. Great Motivation for me to finish this thing up so I can watch fully engaged. bobble, please fly to beantown and yeah that to the Bills before the game tomorrow night, please! And tell Bledsoe to shuffle, slide and throw it to the Bills! Go Bills!
  24. Does anybody know if Bobby Shaw is okay? I know some of you thunk he is going to be cut but I think he is way too valuable dump him. Now if the Chiefs offer a 4th rounder then goodbye but he offers to much to dump him. Hope he is okay either way. anybody?
  25. Me also, please. Thanks. I really appreciate it!
