Mile High, get with the program. Do LSD and smoke crack and you'll understand were he/she is coming from.
-
Is it impossible. Well no but probably less than 2% chance of it. Spikes tells it like it is and that is why when asked about TV being IRed he said he did not like the move b/c it hurt what he considered the best chance to win now. Spikes wants to play. Spikes is what he is. A football player (warrior too!) not a guy that plays around.

Yep four games into a new "bag o' tricks" offense with a poor OL and a knee that won;t let him play the way he uesed to yet. I hope you are right but I believe this guy definitely will get better, much better later this year if not by next year. He has pretty damn good weapons right now and if the fish can MM and get oline (I hope they do neither) next year this guy will be a top ten QB again IMHO. Dare I say I hope I am wrong. P.S. Just thought I'd let you guys know that my gut instincts expressed are almost always resulting in someone telling me I am a jinx. Hope the trend continues....

why doesn't someone have more than
TDRupp replied to clownments22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One definite reason: LT and SD had a Bye already Other possible reasons: Portis has been injured, Westbrook a bit injured, Ronnie Brown's O Coordinator is full of marlarky, Dueuce is sharing carries with Bush, Edge is in Ariz, Corky and Baloney are sharing, Denver was using a two-headed monster at RB the first couple of weeks and they had a Bye, Tiki had a Bye, Willie Parker had a Bye, Larry Johnson's top 2 OT's from last year retired, and the #1 other possible reason (from Mort) is that Ralph fired TD or Willis would have 498! Only the last one is BS... -
So do I. Really. Chris V is out and who knows when TKO is coming back and we only have rookie OL reserves now!!! WE ARE DOOOOOMMMED!! Really, I do and also ones that Boo. Personally, I understand it coveys you are disappointed in their/his performance but I can't imagine it EVER helping the team in that game. So, while I may be pissed and disappointed I don't booo the home team!
-
I wonder if this has much to do with the new coaching staff and direction that Marv is leading the team towards?? Nah, lets "be fair and not one-sided". Donahoe players are just getting better and mostly b/c he knew they would and some b/c some of his braintrust (Guy and Modrak) is still in Buffalo. Just for you, Mort!

I need an editor... I meant and not what WE think it could or might be....

My previous comments were mostly at RichNjoisey and not you. Same thing here... If you tuned in to this game and you were from NY, Indy, or Ohio and heard Jim Nance and Simms say I really believe the Bills will give them trouble and/or another one says I think they'll pull off the upset or I think this team will play them tough and kiss Bills butt and then the Bears demo the Bills 27-6 getting 2-3 TO's and forcing JP mistakes, et. al..... how long do you think they stay the #1 pair for CBS? Not long! And they would be getting yelled at in their ears by the producers left and right. These guys are good. Period. Who wants a bunch or rose colored glasses wearing homers? Not me. I like objective guys that break down the plays and tells it like it is and has been and what WE think it could or might be.... Go Bills!
-
They will be if they go up 10, 14, 17 points. It would only make sense to ride their bandwagon b/c they would be staring at 5-0 and obviously one of the best (top 5 at least) teams in the NFL at this point. If the Bills are giving them trouble and JP is making good decisions and managing the game well, they already saw some of that "show" in the opener so they will given us some props. But, hey, they will also mention JP not being one to make the difference plays at the crunch time of a game b/c I don't think he has ever done it, right? It is what it is until it changes... Go Bills! Peace.

The part that is not right on is the part where he says "lets be fair and not so one sided" b/c that is exactly what he is. Supporting TD and mostly bashing Levy during the Draft. Hmmm. If Levy was not up to snuff and he does not deserve the majority of the credit for this seemily very good draft then why did mort and company (Clayton) criticize him back in April for a "very suspect" draft. Hey, I am was definitely not happy with the non trade with Denver to 15 to get an extra 2 nd rounder. I think it was worth the risk and so did the "experts". Moving up to get McCargo, I did not like either but only time will really tell so far we have 4 guys that have started from this class and played at least decently. That is huge and to not give the GM credit is wrong. Marv made the final call on all picks granted with help and input from some ex-Donahoe hires. So, they are now Marv guys if he is working with, guiding them, and listening to them, right?

Only HE will be doing the stealing when he gets signed by some desperate team.
-
Yeah, like Dick J said, they played real hard but still made some stupid mistakes...
-
The Bills top rated QB was Cutler. We COULD end up regretting not picking him but with hind-sight right now the only change I would have made was taking the chance and trading down to 15 to pick Whitner. The extra 2nd would have been useful, no doubt. I do think Cutler will be playing and playng very well for Denver by game 10 or 12 though. His arm, decision making and mobility are pretty damn good from what I ve seen.

Is Jp finally considered to be a solid big league
TDRupp replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I had to win a game today with this Bills team now, these are the guys I'd pick before Losman. Don't forget to win a game today with this team, in no certain order: McNabb Pennington Manning Manning Bulger Brunell Brees Palmer Brady Farve Leftwhich Delhomme Toss ups versus JP: Vick -I hate him as a passing QB but with his running and this Oline in 1 game? Carr -Good player on a bad team (good WR's though) Rivers -Not great but solid and playing is about what JP is getting though he does have LT That puts him around 13 to 15 so in my book on 10/2. -
Aawwwwwww!!!!! ...............That big a$s dude did not even try to catch it!

I would consider 8-8 a major accomplishment and 7-9 even a pretty decent season. 6-10 could be considered average but at this point 4-8 for the last 12 would be very disappointing given we have 5 more games against lesser (at this writing) teams in Det, Hou, GB, Mia, Tenn. That said, any of them will beat us if we turn the ball over give them a big lead were they can grind out running plays.
-
That will probably be the case for most of the year and hopefully they still die anyway as time expires but there will be a (some) L's because we tried to use staples instead of the nails. No doubt. They key is if we stay in most of the games and don't kill ourselves we can win a good bunch of them. Hey, we are going to have one were we think we are going to the Super Bowl (Det, Hou, Tenn, Mia, or GB) but will have ones that will have us calling for Dick J's head (Chic, NE, SD, Jax, Balt, Indy or maybe the NYJ's).
-
Agreed. The 74% completion rate is b/c they are being very conservative in the 3rd down calls, especially 3rd and longs. If they do throw they are throwing quick ones so as to not put too much pressure on the OL. Hey, I wish we could pass block better than we can but fact is this approach makes sense right now and will even more so for Chicago game if we are within 10 points or so throughout the game.
-
Nothing. That is funny. Please look at Brees' 11 starts which are his 17th-28th starts and tell me you don't think the Chargers should have been looking for a QB in the first round. He had 3 good starts 3 miserable starts and 4 fair-to-poor starts. Let's face it, if J.P. keeps getting coached hard and stays on the field for the rest of the year and will produce numbers better then Brees' 2002 and 2003 combined numbers (passer rating). He has a way to go to be like Brees' best years but I'd bet about 15 QB's could have done as well as he has those years thanks to LT. Just my humble opinion. I know J.P. has not done much but if wins 8 games this year that IMHO would be a great first full year as a starter in a new system. Add a very good OT and a good strong quick G and an impact TE or WR and he could be very dangerous in 2007 with an improving D that helps him out too. All that said, I still want to see him make better decisions when the Bills are behind and/or when is under good pressure. Go Bills.

I've seeen every Chicago game............
TDRupp replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets played Indy (class of AFC?) very tough and beat us as well. I would argue objectively that right now the Jets are better. Certainly a head-to-head win on the road has them win a better Div and Conf record so they are "up on us" so to speak. We must win that game in Detroit to be taken seriously in the national media and most will give us a "pass" if we get destroyed by the Bears. In fact as stupid as it sounds I just hope J.P. does not get injured next week. That hope goes every week but aginst this D it is a very real threat. -
But it did work. Conservative boring winning football versus Miami and Minni. I bet you would have been very happy to see a pick back to Willis for a HB pass on that play he score on, right? Let's face. We will almost assuredly see the Bills fall behind but a decent amt this Sunday and if so the Bills will have to come out of their comfort zone. With our fair Oline and that D, we could be wishing for 3 and outs as a much better option in a game under double digits for both teams. I think the only way we win this one is a special teams TD or at least a huge St play couple with a +2 turnover margin and capitalizing on the chances we get even if we only get 10 out of 2+ TO's.
-
Also, throw in the other difficult games at NYJ and home versus NE and we have 7 tough games left and 5 very winnable games. There is no way we win all the winnable games and lose all the tough ones but if so we'd obviously be 7-9. That would be better than the Experts (and I ) predicted. If they take care of business on those five and surprise a team or two they could end up in the hunt going to 12/10 matchup versus the Jets which would be way fun with a nice young team!
-
I won't admit rooting aginst him EVER, because I haven't ever, but I have to admit I am a doubter and am excited about his generally good play this year. I doubt his decision making and next week will be a huge test. I expect if they fall behind he will try to make plays and suffer the consequences. If they hang if there and run the ball okay and progress with a very good D and good short passing game I'd love to see he pull out a W and build HUGE team confidence.

Terrell Owens taken to the hospital

Real story. As much as I dilike TO it is said some people do this or rather get to a mental point to be able to try/do this. Anyway, here is a URL http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory?id=2497227 -
I have only read articles and TBD comments so far so I guess I am looking forward to the PC's and watching the game on TIVO. Just an absolute booked weekend family activity wise and seeing the last two offensive plays in HD when picking up my kid at a friends stung but with crazy work and family this weekend it "saved me" from staying up until 2:30Am. Go Bills. Get the Vikings and head to Chicago for a huge test! Please!
