I just watched the Jets/Chiefs rewind. Even though they only scored 10 pts, the Jets were moving the ball pretty consistently against the Chiefs. They had first and goal at the Chiefs 3 and turned it over on downs early in the 4th when it was 24 - 10. They had other opportunities as well later in the 4th. The Chiefs did not get sustained pressure on Vick and the Chiefs O all game was rather conservative and non explosive. Charles and Bowe are their main playmakers but also watch out for TE Kelce 87. Kelce was getting open and Smith was throwing to him pretty regularly. After watching this, I feel even better about the Bills chances against the Chiefs.

Kansas City; What's going to happen?

The Chiefs are playing pretty well right now. They ran the ball very well against the Chargers in SD. They are also pretty good on D and can get after the qb. The Bills need to play a smart game and hopefully Hackett will be more aggressive. -
We won on the road by 20 points against a divisional foe. It may not have been the prettiest win but I'll take that on any given Sunday. Go Bills!

How does St. Doug win you over?

Let's see: better play calling, better oline play, better run game, better game management and a better sense that he should be the head coach. And of course a winning record. If these things don't happen then he's no different than any other head coach of late. Hopefully Pegula is willing to pay for a proven head coach who actually has legit experience and a plan when the time comes. -

They are going to leave the lights on now when the monkey throws the dart! -
I'm surprised that the Bills made the switch this soon. I think it is the right call though. I was not looking forward to the Lions game but now I am.

Granted there are dogs who are trained to attack and/or kill but a dog's instinct is to protect. Most dogs give off warnings such as barking, growling, and even posturing to give clueless humans a warning to stay away. I'm leery of the breeds that you mentioned but I think small dogs are more likely to bite than large dogs.

San Diego ran a very conservative game plan and it worked. They had a lead and were basically killing the clock. Their d line dominated.

The o line did suck today. So much, that I think their play was a big reason for the loss. Too much pressure on EJ early on led to EJ throwing the ball too soon later in the game. Receivers were getting open but the ball wasn't where it needed to be. Too many frickin penalties. Gilmore is about as average as you can get. The play where he got the facemask penalty was brutal in so many ways. He lost outside containment, gets flagged, and gets hurt.

This is a ridiculous question at this juncture. The offensive line was beat soundly today and EJ felt the pressure whether it was there or not. Yeah he made some mistakes today but I pin this on the o line. No running game and weak protection all game long.

I watched this game on rewind. Chargers had the ball for over 42 minutes so I think fatigue did impact the Seahawks pass rush on Rivers. I'm not saying it was heat related but the heat probably didn't help. The Bills D needs to pressure Rivers and tackle well. Rivers was dinking and dunking all over the field. Most of his throws were short over the middle, to the flat, and along the sidelines. A few tough catches by Gates for TDs. Also Bills O needs to have some long sustained drives and a few TDs. Announcers for Bills/Bolts game

McCarthy kept calling the wrong down as well. It would be 3rd and 5 and he would call it 2nd and 5. Should have hit mute button! -

Dareus is regularly double teamed to include last year. -
Not necessarily a bad thing. Those guys were awful.

Usually that is correct but today looked pretty hot out there. Even the coaches were sweating thru their shirts. Used to live there. Weather is usually awesome.

I read quite a few of the posts in this thread. A few themes are emerging. 1 - The Bills are kicking too many FGs. I agree but we need to patient. We are winning games. 2 - The trade for Sammy seems to be looking real good. He looked real good today and I wonder if he would have been great if not for the rib injury. 3 - Whaley has put together a pretty good team which has depth now. All kinds of contributors so far in the first two games. 4 - EJ looks better to me with each passing week. The progress might not be in leaps and bounds but it is steady. He is not getting hit as much and he throws the ball away if the play is not there. First place baby!

Jay Gruden has to be happy right now

If Cousins can put some good starts together, Griffin is pretty much done. Griffin got hurt on a non contact play of all things. Wasn't looking all that good and now he is out indefinitely.
