  1. Fumigation ain't a pretty business (especially, as you point out, from the perspective of the prey!). And no matter how fastidious you are it seems like a couple of roaches survive ;-)
  2. Get his permission and that conversation begins. Until then you've done nothing to dispell yourself as dishonest.
  3. If you're talking about the same Pete who PMd me this morning about hooking up for beers in New Orleans, we might both do him the favor of asking him if he'd like to be considered as the "respected poster" I've treated poorly. Out of respect for him I'll defer to his own decision of whether or not he'd like to become the quantifier of your claim.
  4. You just going to allow your lie to sit there unaddressed? Who is the "respected" poster I have treated poorly? You have zero credibility if you refuse to offer some support for YOUR OWN CLAIM. Oh, and your level of dishonesty is personified in this string. You claim you have "no problems" with other posters? Well I see one of the most respected posters on TSW being told to STFU just up the string. You're a real classy guy. Some people learn to admit when they've made statements they can't back up or fabricated evidence or simplly gotten something wrong. Apparently "stand up guy" isn't something we'll ever be able to attribute to you. Now don't let me interfere with the fine job you're doing shoveling.
  5. Post numbers have zero to do with whether posters are "respected". The respect is earned from contributing to the football conversation. Contributions can be diminished by posting garbage without any concern about the effect on the community. I was lucky enough to be a contributor to this community when we actually attracted team members and staff of the Buffalo Bills. The obsessive newbies who have come of late have destroyed this element and in turn diminished the quality of the football content. It's a shame but everyone has the right to ignore what these posters have done- (create an unfriendly environment for players and staff). I on the other hand have chosen to be a vocal critic of this type of behavior. I will continue to do so because I for one would rather have a conversation on this board with the Quarterback who's starting for us instead of obsessing about the one who plays for another team and convincing him and all the other players that this is not a friendly place for the team.
  6. YOU make the claim that I have treated "respected posters" with poor treatment and refuse to now offer A SINGLE NAME when faced with the simple question: "Who?". You are what you are, and one of those things is dishonest.
  7. Like I predicted- we won't see any names of "respected" posters I've treated with disrespect. I appreciate your complete confirmation of my position. Rest assured the only thing of any consequence to me is my treatment by those "respected" posters, not how I'm received by some of the trash we've been attracting to this board in the past couple seasons.
  8. I challenge you to back this lie up by naming a single "respected" poster who- as you claim- I've treated with disrespect. You won't respond with an answer because no such thing has ever happened. It's exactly this type of dishonesty that makes you the type of poster who invites the type of treatment you get- or maybe the better representation is you earn.
  9. Straight out of the pages of the Kennedy dictionary. Just when you start thinking that pair of underwear with the nasty skid in it had finally disappeared! Nice to see you Rico!
  10. Correction- "AKC" is one of the posters on this board who likes to talk about football, and all aspects of the game, with other fans who like to talk about the game. He respects all the solid football contributors on the board whether he agrees with them or not. What "AKC" doesn't coddle is the community of ball watchers who are obsessed with one single position on the field and they devote their complete TSW personna to a single position, a single player and a single obsession. A little antogonism is exactly what this community invites.
  11. Admitting defeat- another fine quality! It's been fun, sorry you had to go French on me so early in the festivities! Then again with the handicap of your posts and sigline giving you up it was inevitable ;-)
  12. That's the spirit! You may need a few more episodes of Little House on the Prairie to fully develop your manners.
  13. While the point at which you were lost is open for debate, as far as your sigline is concerned it clearly identifies the two primary focuses of your obsession. Give it a read ;-)
  14. The hypocrisy of Drew Beldsoe? or the obsessions of someone who watches the ball on every down- Uh, I'm going to have to go with #2 on that one!
  15. Thank goodness for THAT!!!! But then Kelly isn't the one running around advertising his obsessions in his sigline! Do go on!
  16. No need for that Mr. Bardo! I would have said yes until I read the article on Ron Edwards. As for my football analysis, yes, I defer to the coaching staff
  17. Kinda like Rebecca Schaeffer and her insistent "stalking" of Robert Bardo? ;-)
  18. Why'd you drop the "stalking me" part of your post? I'd think even the greenest of "professionals" would recognize your sig line and the obsessions within ;-) Do carry on! With each of your posts we're reminded more and more of the witticism "better to remain silent and be thought of a fool...."
  19. Thanks for taking on a thankless task- the beignets are on us when we get to the Vieux Carre. 15 or 20 of those little devils is a good foundation for a full day of beverage consumption!
  20. I applaud any guy who can admit that he's a fool. Your admissions that you believe everything the media tells you about our players and your waiting for player evaluations from their coaches to make decisions for your Fantasy team are refreshing in this day and age when some fans waste too much time actually watching film of players and developing their own opinions. Your honesty is inspirational!
  21. The difference with Edwards was that at the Pro level he just hasn't shown that ability to get in front of the running back and either force him down or give the linebackers behind him time to make the play. Can Krumrie work miracles? Possibly- he's done very well with Ron on his snaps in the pass package and that has been evident for two seasons. The next step is difficult- converting him into a run stopper after no signs of him improving in that since he signed with us originally. Count me in on the assumption that the team sees TAnderson and Sam in for two downs with Ron in the pass packages. The only problem with that rotation is how thin it is, especilly considering the number of downs Sam will be forced to play with no one to spell him.
  22. Henry's a very good and hard working runner. He's a numbskull with awful ball-handling habits. To argue against those clearly demonstrated traits would be naive. I can't imagine him being too much of a distraction because he's simply not smart enought to influence anyone else. A smart guy who's a malcontent can be a major problem- that's simply not the case with Travis. I don't think there's a player on the roster who would support his pity parade, therefore I see his particular situation as an overall postive considering what his value to the team is if the guy in front of him gets dinged up. As you know I like the type of depth team's like NE have developed in the middle- they run a 3-4 yet they have more interior defensive talent right now than we do. A big body like Traylor, especially with the vet exemption for a minimum salary, would seem like a pretty smart move. And it would eliminate any need to move someone else whose cap/value ration IMO is favorable to the team.
  23. In the hypothetical a starting DT is about 10,000 times more valuable than a backup RB- but that isn't exactly how this plays out. We just haven't seen enough of Anderson to see if he is: A) A capable tackler in the run game B) Durable enough to play a season as a 2 down Tackle. We HAVE seen enough of Edwards to realize those two keys are not his strengths. He's just fine in the pass packages and Krumrie appears to be able to stifle his ADD enough to get inspired play for those snaps. Basically Anderson is the wild card here- and the staff knows a lot more about him than we do. That said, if they believe in TA as a 2 down guy we're simply looking for depth among run stoppers. Now the hypothetical moves to "what's more important, a backup at RB who has starting quality running ability or a backup DT who might be average at this point in his career?" It's a good question. Traylor's vet min should be in the same dollar range as the Travis cap hit, then again if he'd sign for a min. contract we'd get the cap exemption- and under those cap-friendly circumstances why not keep 'em both? The deciding factor would be whether someone else offers him an above minimum contract.
  24. It's the old "percentage of fans" rule- if you're obsessed with the QB as the almighty franchise maker or breaker there's really no need at all to watch the film of Edwards that shows him to be developing into a good passing down specialist who still can't front runners and consequently lets them slip through his pathetic arm tackles. He's just built a little too top-heavy and while he uses that with his good burst to split gaps in the passing game anyone who thinks he can wear the jock strap of Pat Williams on rushing downs has been busy- well - watching the opposing QB on our defensive plays! And you're absolutely right- Lawyer was a productive player PLUS he was a leader on the field for the #2 defense league-wide last year.
  25. Yeah, let's bet the whole season on a guy who can't keep hold of a Pop Warner running back! RON! RON! RON! RON! At least that's what you're going to THINK our opponents sideline is yelling out to their offense against us all next year if Edwards is in our run package. "So coach Mularkey, can you explain how your defense went from giving up the least yards per play to the most in the league in a single season?" AJZEPP- setting a mighty standard for football anaysis since 2005 "I would have said yes until I read the article on Ron Edwards." That's right- no need to actually form an opinion- just turn on the game, watch the quarterbacks and trust the media on everybody else!
