  1. No, he was using another form of poor English. Your way to positive = Your way is too positive.
  2. I think players are mailing it in on the Ryans. I don't say this as an apologist. I'll be glad when the clown show is over. I just couldn't watch last week and NOT think that the Rex/Rob had lost the locker room, especially the defense.
  3. That's an all-time great post right there.
  4. Yup. Somebody start tracking Air Pegula! That'd be pretty cool. See your baby born, then jump on the owners' plane to make the game. Maybe they could have him parachute onto the field during warm-ups.
  5. I did like how they used Sammy on quick outs early in the second half. It established the threat of Sammy.
  6. No, coaches don't play the games, players do! Always onside kick.
  7. It's all because Pegula owns the Sabres, right?
  8. Although Deion was the best cover corner and return man ever, he was a wimpy tackler. There really is no debate regarding that aspect of his "toughness."
  9. Who said that fans expected AW to survive the year? All that has been said is that there is a significant difference between AW and Blanton.
  10. Actually, we had 2/3 of your recipe on Monday. The problem is the lack of AWill. Without spectacular safeties, this defense falls apart. They keep the defense organized on the back end.
  11. I loved the George Michael Sports Machine, but I wished it was 60 minutes, not 30. https://youtu.be/sCC3RQsGitg
  12. Because that is common practice with kickers, whereas it is a penalty to hit another player after the whistle, ever.
  13. Funny. I noticed that too. Hopefully he can have an impact when he returns.
  14. I thought we were going to hold Whaley accountable! We need to calm down and watch a few more weeks of football. After the first two weeks, we were expecting to be 1-7 at this point. We are not really that far off from playoff. Middle-of-the-road teams often get hot and go on a run. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Last I checked, nobody is consulting us on hiring and firing decisions.
  15. This is a good point. Pegs needs to replace the turf... Bills shop away too much.
  16. He was probably right with the finger pointing. Remember, we are down three starting safeties in the last four offseasons. We still have not brought in quality safety help, despite the loss of Byrd, Searcy, and AWil. That is despite the emphasis on safety-smarts in Rex's defense.
  17. Can't have Ed play for the Bills...way too friendly with Brady* - did you see him yakin' it up with the enemy after the game??
  18. I'm thoroughly intrigued by the title-editing possibilities.
  19. Have to agree on Brady's throw - couldn't have been better. Hate to admit it, but he was sharp Sunday.
  20. I think this thread reinforces the fact that Brandon pushed hard for a shot at a Franchise QB in his last draft. Whaley bears much responsibility because he was heavily involved in that draft - reaching for EJ in the first. Russ also has to take some responsibility as I'm sure he was excited about selling tickets with a new QB on the roster. All in all, the move demonstrates the fallout from reaching for 2nd round talent in the 1st. It ties your hands for several drafts. IF the Bills had grabbed EJ in the 2nd, I doubt anyone would ring their hands about the failed attempt. First rounds are just too valuable. On the other hand, spending multiple 2nd and 3rd day picks on QB does not hurt you as much. If you swing and miss on a 3rd rounder, he can still stick around as a cheap backup for a few years. You also don't mind grabbing another guy in the next draft because less value has been written off. You don't have ownership, fans, and front office doubling down on a faulty faith in a broken prospect (see EJ among a litany of other 1st round busts).
