  1. Who? Oh, that team that can't even fill a stadium in beautiful weather...No, not at all.
  2. By definition, it is a different category of pass. I believe the rule book defines that specific play. It's kinda like asking why a FT in basketball is only worth 1 point, when a shot from the same spot in the run of play results in 2. Additionally, grounding is an infraction motivated by a desire to avoid getting sacked. Spiking isn't. It is an immediate act by which the quarterback forfeits a down in order to preserve time, not yardage.
  3. In...in time. He was truly dominant. If you want to see his true value, consider the Phila vs NE Super Bowl. Tell me who wins if he's healthy? On one leg he was a starting WR in the Super Bowl! Sure, he was crazy, but he also racked up the stats. He was, along with Randy Moss, the dominant receiver of his generation.
  4. I think that TD gets a pass because he was so dominant during his short career. It kind of reminds me of Gale Sayers. He only played in seven seasons with the Bears. His last two seasons, he only managed four appearances total. During his five good seasons, he only topped 1000 yards twice! So, I think some guys get in because of their connection to Super Bowls and MVPs. Gotta agree - he helped revolutionize the NFL. Our pass-happy league is a product of the Greatest Show on Turf. Imagine what Dan Marino or Jim Kelly would be like in this NFL? Kurt Warner should go in as a contributor! Remember that funny grip on the ball?
  5. It's s joke... Kinda like deers or F5.
  6. He shouldn't run into that until a contract year!
  7. Wouldn't work. They aren't scheduled to play against any teams coached by Rex this year.
  8. That's the line of reasoning he parlayed into a first-round draft pick and a solid rookie contract with the Bills! If it ain't broke, don't fix it EJ! When he was coming out, all he and his agent did was blame the coaching staff at FSU for how he only read 1/2 of the field. It was the system that held me back... The truth is that he would have lost his starting spot to Jamies and his career would have been done. I don't begrudge the opportunity he had to perform here, but I do take exception with his complaint against Buffalo. Did he have lots of opportunities, maybe not. But did he take advantage of his opportunities - absolutely not. He had one last opportunity and he blew it big time. He didn't even give his coaches a reason to wait until the offseason. He was done before halftime of the Jets game!
  9. Poz was grossly overrated during his years here. He was terrific at racking up tackles...8 yards downfield. I was so pleased when he moved to Jax.
  10. Most likely because of the other soccer mom's and dad's that are blocking the truck from changing lanes! There is nothing worse than seeing mindless drivers hang out beside a truck - totally oblivious to the danger they are causing for everyone else on the road.
  11. Harvin's agent is a genius!
  12. That's the reason to have a co-host. If you hate the one guy, you root for the other.
  13. We wouldn't have the cap space. If that were the case, I'd just pull and Eli and declare that I was unwilling to sign with the Jets if they drafted me.
  14. I think they can get back to where the were before the Ryan Express Distress. Should be fun to watch, but it may take a year to get both aspects going. Depending on how aggressive McD is we'll see one aspect or the other perform really well. I don't expect the disparity to be like it was under Pettine - definitely more balance.
  15. I figured you were going to write that he had already signed with the evil empire...does he fit our scheme?
  16. Well, Buffalo fans have already proven they'll wear a Satan jersey...http://thehockeyjersey.co/store/images/large/0914-satan_LRG.jpg We're already on a slippery slope... Might as well go for it. 0-for Darnold
  17. I thought McD didn't care about winning the offseason! I'm glad to hear that Mills is winning it. The lines are where the games are won and lost.
  18. Welcome and Happy Father's Day to you too!
  19. Took my family to the Miami game last year. I'm rarely able to go to games because of work. The end zone was quite a pleasant view. Obviously, not as fun when the TD goes the other way, but after a TD everyone is celebrating and it's a blast regardless. If you want the best view of the game - watch at home. If you want to be with fans - get to the stadium. You'll enjoy it regardless of the outcome.
  20. That's a convenient way to gain public "credibility" without any risk. You could make that type of stuff up all the time. If the Eagles deny, then they are denying because they didn't get their guy. Throwing the Bills under the bus is like sports journalism 101 these days. I'm not saying she's wrong or that I have proof of anything, but I give very little credence to this type of "news." Furthermore, to conclude that the "Bills were never..." is a bit of an overstatement. They had the guy into town. He stayed, talked, etc. I don't think we are a cesspool of depression anymore. McDermott and Bean just aren't giving into contract demands like the previous regime. I think if the last FO was still around, we would have worked his contract in his favor (massively) AND figured out a way to reverse his release from KC so we could trade a draft pick to them too! Just because we don't sign everyone we talk to doesn't mean our FO is failing and just because Josina posts some "news" doesn't mean we should pay attention. I think that may be part of why we have Beane and not Whaley at this point.
  21. That is exactly where my mind went...
  22. I don't really trust people that talk about themselves in the third person, but that's just me. On the other hand, my very frugal uncle used to talk about himself in the third person. If McBean is frugal and that is why Maclin left without signing, I'm ok with that, or should I say, "Dulles is ok with that."? For a couple years, our front office seemed to be like the parent who always lets the kiddos come home with a new toy on every shopping trip. McBean seems to be more like the parent who isn't prone to impulse spending. Case in point: our new LB. We wanted him, but they waited to see what the market really demanded. I like that type of negotiation.
  23. Parella was a salary cap casualty. Back then, we had a lot more expensive talent on defense...although maybe Overdorf was cheap.
  24. Jim Kelly...punt, pass, and kick champ...
