When were you most wrong on a player?
Wattdogg35 replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
didn't read 6 pages of posts so not sure if anyone said CJ Spiller. Unfortunately this is the opposite. I thought he was going to be another AP when we drafted him, but it looks like he's bust. Yes he season last year was fantastic, but he seems to be a "situational" runner. only usefull in open spaces, can't "power run" at all. 3rd and short he gets stuffed constantly, even last year. he has a bum ankle but was running poorly before that. he isn't going to make "something" out of "nothing" like Freddy does. how many times have you seen FJ turn what should have been a 4 or 5 yard loss into a 4 or 5 yard gain, he did it several times against Miami with a busted knee! I really hope CJ turns it around but so far, in 4 seasons, he has had one good one, and 3 poor ones, not very good for a 9th overall pick. -
The Miami Dolphins needed a hail mary pass in which the QB would need to step into a throw to reach the endzone. Most teams rush 2 or 3 guys and drop everyone else. But not Mike Pettine! he disguises a blitz which worked perfectly except Ryan T. made a ridiclous effeort to stay on his feet and bomb one down there. Even if Miami caught it, I would want the same type of play to be called everytime! I love what this team is doing, the coaches are doing a great job. The fact that they actually "change" gameplans midway through the game if somthing isn't working is what great teams do! Chan Gaily, Jauron etc...stuck with one thing the whole way regardless of the outcome! drove me crazy! We have a bunch of young players being well coached, just need to get healthy and a few more pieces to be legitment SBowl contenders! GO BILLS! The future for a change, looks exciting with actual promise!

this is unfortutately true it seems...pretty funny

With the type of Defense we play, (heavy blitzing, "up tempo" so to speak) we need a run heavy Offense, but one that also stays on the field and burns up clock. our D is not the type to get stop after stop, so if we can get a lead and just get first downs, the results will be much better. Our D is all about schemes and if they are tired and can't burst and blitz properly, then very avg. QB's (Andy Dalton) will look like Allstars against us. One thing is for sure, we need to run more screens and get CJ in space, he's the type of guy if you give him a few yards he's unstoppable, but behind the line, he's below avg. The play calling was better last week, hope they keep progressing with that in mind. The "trick" play we ran against the Browns was a nice surprise, keep the D honest and run something like that once a game, this way when you actually do run the reverse or end around it may actually work! GO BILLS!!!

yea look at the video on the bottom of the screeen, not sure who it was on the Bills but was tackled to the ground, maybe it was the gunner, by two (2) Bengals players right in front of the ref. the bills should have not even punted it if they weren't so damn conservative on offnese inside the 10. "play to not lose" instead of "play to win"

Kyle Williams' penalty
Wattdogg35 replied to Bills Fan since '64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The refs were absolutly horrible, Definitely, but as Bills fans we're used to bad calls. Good teams overcome this, we usually don't. But, how often do you see the Patriots get a hold or Un.Rougness call that stops a drive? hardly ever. I just can't stand when it's so inconsistent. There are holds on every play and it seems the Bills always get called for one on a big play and instead of 1st and 10 from the 40 or 50, its 1st and 20 from the 15 and we end up punting. anyways, refs are always gonna suck against the bills, always seems that way...and yes, I am not biased, I watch many games and know the rules -
Yea I usually have 2...sometimes 3...lol

I'm pretty sure, down 14, with 8 mins left in the game and tying it up to force OT is "leading your team back"....Not his fault they called run, run, pass and went backwords in OT.

What would the Bills record be with this schedule?
Wattdogg35 replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't blame them for their schedule. They are beating every team they play so far....get over it -
Not that fantasy has to do with wins or losses, but he had the 5th most fantasy points out of 30 Qb's so far. He beat Brees, Brady, Manning, Rogers, Russell Wilson, Flacco, Kaepernick etc...not bad for a Practice Squad QB!

Just wondering...I know he hurt his ribs I believe back in August. We could use him out there right now both WR and Special Teams. heck, i'd even take him at qb at this point.

Thaddeus Lewis starting against Bengals
Wattdogg35 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm looking at the schedule and with the awesome news that Thad Lewis is our starter, I don't see a winnable game on there. What's that? The Jags? I'm sure they will be winless still at that point and probably destroy us. It's usually a close game when we play the Jags and I just don't see us winning any more games. Our Defense is decent but our horrid offense is just going to get worse. it sucks to be a Bills fan....still -
they should ask Jim Kelly to play. It's not like hackett's offense is hard to pick up. 1st down, run up the middle. 2nd, run up the middle, usually same exact play. 3rd down and long throw a incomplete pass, but Kelly might be able to actually complete a pass! at least it's over early and I don't have to waste my Sundays anymore.

Cleaveland Browns got all the love
Wattdogg35 replied to Wattdogg35's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The results were impact of 8 starters being out. My whole point was they got all the credit for winning "short handed" -
http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/10/04/wood-browns-actions-post-ej-hit-classless/ gotta love Eric Wood! love how he speaks his mind! I hope someone asks his opinion on Byrd! that would be a fun response.

Watch Bills vs Browns highlights...3 TD's by the Bills and they don't show any. Only "highlight" was of EJ getting hurt...If they want respect they have to win, but seems like other teams get all the credit and excuses when Bills were w/o their top 7 or 8 players. even befoe the game I just kept saying I hope they win even more b/c they aren't even talking about the Bills on the "pregame" show. anyways, just sour about the loss and how it went down and the fact they aren't even recognized for the hell of the game they played. -

They got it before, during and after the game...just sayin -
Our Starting QB, RB, and #1 WR, were out for the majority of the game, especially the 2nd half. Our #2 RB (should be #1) played his heart out on a bum knee, we lost TJ for a lot of the game, Our Shutdown corner, still out. Leodis played hurt, played decent when he was in there but I think he only played about a 3rd of the plays, and our #2 DB was still out. Not to mention that bum Byrd...yet the Bills still had a chance to win the game with 2:30 left in the game only down by 6! I'm excited to see what this team can do when they get healthy and a little more experience! But what I can't stand is hearing all of the "experts" analysts, whatever you want to call them give all this credit to the Browns "overcoming adversity" losing their "QB"...give me a break. they lost their 3rd string QB who had a decent game against the vikings and was replaced by their starter who has been taking reps and games with the ones all year! still....no love for Buffalo! get healthy and come back stronger next week! 3-3 and only going to get better! btw..play calling by Hackett, need to stop that "read option" crap...doesn't work. 1st qtr "conventional offense" lit them up...don't understand why he changed it...smh
-
I know...I was thinkning that last year if we could keep him as a OC. Of course all dreaming, but can u imagine what he would do with EJ and the speedy playmakers we have now?!? I had more confidence last year with the offense than this year. Hackett needs to run the 1st qtr offense all game! Plus use the screeen more, Fitz screened his way 200yards every game!

Official Game Day Thread: Bills at Browns, 10-3-2013
Wattdogg35 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea it's pretty pathetic...I don't celebrate a TD until after the extra point. but like always many of calls are very questionable, but hoping we get a few "breaks" tonight, and by "breaks" I mean the correct call. BTW, 100% conclusive evidence to overturn a call, unlike the 4 last week, would be nice. -

"No Love for Buffalo" I saw someone posted. Tis' true, but after we sack the Browns back down to earth tonight, we'll get some love. 7 sacks for the Bills in a 23-16 victory!
