  1. I thought so too. No way were the Jets coming back so why not let him hand the ball off a few times?
  2. Oh without a doubt, the front office failed badly. From 2 straight AFC championship game appearances to hoping for 2 wins this season warrants a housecleaning from the GM down/
  3. I agree on both points. Rex is a hell of a defensive coach who will be the hottest DC on the market after the Jets can him. He just didn't handle the offense very well - especially the QB situations. I can't help but feel for him, he deserves a better ending than this.
  4. Here we go....... 1) They were SUPPOSED to beat down a 1-6 team like this! 2) They could have beaten them worse than this if they would have capitalized on those early turnovers, but that's OK for THIS game - a win is a win is a win 3) I think Nate Hackett should take the open UB coaching spot. He's better suited for the Bulls right now than he is for the Bills. 4) Pass protection was adequate, run blocking is still an issue. But then again, the Jets do have a very good fromt seven (too bad that's ALL they have). 5) Don't be surprised to see Leodis McKelvin in the Pro Bowl. He really is having another good year. 6) Running game could still be more effective if the calls weren't so friggin predictable, and the run blocking was better. 7) Sammy watkins is the front runner for offensive ROTY (just don't F/N celebrate until AFTER you're in the endzone). 8) Say what you want about Orton, but do you really think we'd be 5-3 right now if Marrone didn't make the necessary change at QB? 9) The changing of the guard did help some. 10) Give Schwartz credit for the way he adjusted the defense to get a handle on Vick after he came in and gave the Jets a spark. For a moment, I thought he was going to bring them back to steal this game from us.
  5. THAT'S the big #1 question about him. #2 would be, can the OL keep him upright. If yes to both, then yeah, why not kick the tires on him. Make it a 3 way competition next year.
  6. I'm thinking the same thing and picking the Bears as my upset special.
  7. Coaching: Advantage Jets Talent: Advantage Bills Bills will need 20+ points to win this one. Anything less gives the Jets a good chance to win and save Rex's job for one more week.
  8. I actually like Hackett - for UB, Buff State, Canisius, etc..... He's not quite ready for the big leagues yet. This team needs a veteran OC. Let's see who becomes available at the end of the season when the firings begin.
  9. I was thinking the same things. Orton looks so bad on the run, Dixon was clearly gassed, and Hackett's playcalling is so insanely predictable at times
  10. I have to agree with you on that one. Mostly on Orton, but Hackett has to take responsibility too. What is he designing to get them more involved?
  11. 1) Sammy Watkins is going to be a very good receiver for the Bills. 2) Hogan and Chandler were clutch when they needed to be. 3) O-Line came through in the clutch but the guards are still the weak link of the offense. 4) Say what you want about Orton, but he's coming through at crunch time despite his shortcomings (I hope EJ is taking good notes)! 5) I'm STILL not sold on Nate Hackett (I'll say this a few more times throughout the season). 6) The defense still has a way of giving up big games to RB's that have no business getting 100 yards on them. 7) Sacks, turnovers, and those dang ill-timed penalties. A better team would have blown them out. 8) Jerry Hughes is going to the Pro Bowl this year. 9) Is it just me, or are Robert Woods & Mike Williams being grossly under used in this offense. 10) Who cares if it was ugly, a win is a win!! GO BILLS!!!!
  12. A win is a win is a win! SO WHAT if it was ugly! Sometimes it's gonna be like that.
  13. 7-11 was clutch when we needed him to be.
  14. Spiller, Watkins, and Goodwin are all viable candidates for running the Jet Sweep as long as they execute it perfectly. Seattle uses it to near perfection.
  15. If he gets traded, it better be for a quality guard.
  16. Orton did all he could do to keep them in the game despite his mistakes.
  17. I think they'll finish 2nd in the division and still have a playoff shot.
  18. He's a rooking going against one of the best CB's in the game. It was a learning experience for him that's only going to make him better.
  19. Here we go in no particular order..... 1) Penalties at crucial times continue to plague the Bills. 2) O-line not getting the job done in the running game. 3) If Bryce Brown is healthy, let's see what he's got. Play him some and sit CJ for the next game. 4) Pass coverage was awful. Had no answers for Edelman and Gronk 5) I still have faith in Orton. Offensive production is improving, but he has to cut down on his mistakes. 6) 3 turnovers + critical penalties at critical times = a loss every time. 7) Start Jackson and rotate the other backs for now. 8) I wish Schwartz would incorporate a few more blitzes in the game plan. 9) Scott Chandler stepped up today. Give him a game ball. 10) BOTTOM LINE - New England is still the better team! Just because the Pats won again doesnt mean our season is over. We're going to have a winning record this year.
  20. In order: 1) Secondary 2) O-line 3) Coaches (Schwartz didn't make the right adjustments in the 2nd half). Even more pressure on Brady was needed Honarable mention - Spiller (Where are you when we need you?)
  21. A win sends a loud and clear message that these aren't the same old Bills of the last 14 years, and it's time to take us seriously again.
  22. He's going to make a place for himself on the Bills Wall of Fame.
  23. Great win by the Bills. Badly needed. 1) Offense is better with Orton at the helm just on experience and better accuracy. 2) Once again, the interior of the O-Line was overmatched 3) Fred Jackson is still the heartbeat of this offense 4) I'm still not sold on Nate Hackett 5) We have a playoff caliber defense that can win 10 games with help from the offense. 6) Enough with the drive killing/sustaining penalties already!!!! 7) Spiller is back to his old bad habit of looking to bounce almost everything to the outside 8) Lions kicker should be gone by morning. Nobody goes 0-3 and keeps their job for next week. 9) Our faith in Dan Carpenter has been justified. 10) Colton Schmidt was a good pickup.
  24. Lions tough at home but Orton has experience against this division. All he has to do is be efficient. Bills 24 Lions 20
