  1. Translation - He's not ready just yet. We're going to give him another year behind a vet to watch and learn until 2016 when we draft another QB to develop if he fails to take over at some point during the season.
  2. You saw that too huh? If it weren't for that, I'd have called it unintentional.
  3. I watched it again from another angle. The step itself appears to be accidental, but if you look closely, you'll see he put his full weight down on that last step. After further review, that part was intentional. Suspend him for the playoffs, and fine the TEAM hugely. Hold the Lions accountable for getting a grip on his antics. https://v.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/6CC91C34A81161142934222381056_3df6d7e829f.1.4.16078336089769570529.mp4?versionId=jGw2E4ICHUPfw5.ZbttyEtcDWdvQPWow
  4. He's got a bad rep so that's going to work against him. I watched the replay over and over. Intent is questionable.
  5. If he can't beat out a ruined RG3 or Colt McCoy, then he's not a starter.
  6. Yeah, that would make the most sense. Whaley stays. He's building a contender here. Polian's expertise would benefit him without undermining him. Bill doesn't want (or need) to be a GM again at his age. He can just add to Whaley's knowledge base, that's all we need from him now.
  7. He's not going anywhere. The OL coach should go.
  8. Marrone should have brought him along as an assistant and hired a proven OC to bring him along and groom him to take over later. He put him in a bad position from the start.
  9. Winning record overall (9-7) - Check Winning record at home (5-3) - Check Winning record in the division (4-2) - Check Win the games you're SUPPOSED to win - Ummmm, that one still needs work (no playoffs). Still, that's enough improvement to retain Marrone & Whaley for another year. We're just a QB and upgraded O-Line away If possible, I'd take a shot at Foles from Philly.
  10. If Foles becomes available, yeah. I'd say let's go for it if the price is right
  11. Since we already have a QB that needs development, he'd be hard pressed to get interest here. We need a veteran who has a winning record as a starter in the NFL to compete for the position here.
  12. Unlikely, but a nice thought. Can he play in the snow?
  13. He'd have to prove it in an open competition in training camp with EJ and another veteran.
  14. With the right OC and game plans, the Jets went to consecutive AFC Championships with him under center. We don't have the right OC or O-line to succeed with Sanchez as the QB.
  15. He wants to be a starter and is asking to be traded if RG3 starts 2015.... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000451339/article/kirk-cousins-wants-to-be-dealt-if-rgiii-named-starter
  16. I'd bring him back as OC. He has a way of getting the most he can get out of little to work with.
  17. Great info here, and a very accurate assessment of the bigger issue on offense.
  18. He was brought here to give EJ a veteran backup to learn from, and wound up starting for the rest of the season. He already had one foot out the door an was on his way to the couch when the Bills called. We got all we could ask for out of him. Thanks and good luck Kyle.
  19. Thanks for filling in and going 7-5 which helped the team get its first winning record in 10 years. I just hope your veteran presence gave EJ what he needed to take the next step next season. Best of luck to you. Next batter up.......
  20. I couldn't agree more. I've been saying the same thing. He deserves another year.
  21. If it weren't for our 1st winning season in a decade, a 4-2 record in the division, a win in New England (so what if it was a watered down Pats team), and it was done with sup par QB & O-line play and a college level OC, I'd probably agree with you.
  22. 9-7 (first winning season in 10 years), 4-2 in the division. 3 HOF QB's held in check in December, meaningful games in December capped off with a win in New England. Accomplished with slightly average QB play, an inconsistent O-line, and a struggling OC who's still learning. Get off Marrone's back, he deserves another year!!
