  1. Why not? We need a veteran who's been around as insurance. Will he be an upgrade over what we had in Orton? Who knows....
  2. What happened with the Skins stays with the Skins. He's a Bill now. Maybe things will work out better for him here.
  3. EJ will be working with a better offensive coaching staff this time around. My money is on him showing enough improvement to justify continued development. START HIM!
  4. EJ. He can't develop sitting on the bench, and we still have no idea what we have in him. As I recall, Manning & Brees were worse in their first couple years, Rodgers & Kap rode the pine learning. Ej should be given every fair opportunity to earn the starting job.
  5. Interesting. If they do this, it should make for an interesting QB competition if: a) Bradford can stay healthy for a full season, and, b) He can function in the snow, cold, and winds of the B-Lo
  6. Oh S*** happens! Just relax. Ain't the first time and won't be the last. Now do you think the Bills will take an interest in the guy or what?
  7. Saints could cut Pro Bowl guard Jahri Evans. Why not kick the tires? Yes he had an off year due to an injury, but who hasn't? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000473504/article/report-saints-could-cut-pro-bowl-guard-jahri-evans
  8. IMHO, he's got nothing left to prove or accomplish. All that's left for him now is to take his place in Canton. Time to hang up the helmet.
  9. He can't help us if he can't stay off IR. If he can stay healthy, then absolutely bring him in and see if he can play in the snow and cold.
  10. At least he's capable of competing, and can also serve as insurance as a backup. There really isn't a whole lot of viable options available, and like it or not, EJ is going to be the week 1 starter - as he should be! The staff has to comitt to his development first with the other options as a plan B.
  11. Well, he's a vet that can be of help to EJ. Let's just hope he doesn't have to take the field. And even if he does, it's not like he'll be another rookie going out there. Developing EJ as the starter is still the objective. Whatever McCown can bring to the table to help in that area is welcome.
  12. If we can get him here even for one year, it would be a great learning experience for EJ to pick up a few things from a definite HOF QB. And at the same time, offense improves enough to get us in the playoffs as a legitimate threat. NO, we wouldn't win it all with an all but finished Manning, but even in his decline, he's still an upgrade at the position even for just one season. Of course we all know this ain't happening ....
  13. Oh just get him IN here and let's see what he's got!
  14. I myself don't see him starting, would rather see EJ at the helm. McCown (or whoever) would be the veteran backup and mentor that could come in if necessary and keep the offense together whild the D and ST carries the team.
  15. He might be the best of the free agent QB's available. That alone says enough about the available options.
  16. OK, so he's not a franchise QB, but he'd be good competition for EJ, and a decent backup as well as a mentor and insurance to keep the ship afloat in the worst case scenario. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000470196/article/where-will-quarterback-josh-mccown-land
  17. If we gan get the FA Guard from SF, we should be good to go on the O-line. Return the running game to its top 5 form, and we're in the playoffs.
  18. The best strategy now would be the same one Rex used to get to consecutive AFC title games with Mark Sanchez at the helm.... Ground and pound to the max and minimize the amout of passing EJ has to do initially, Use play action and deep shots downfield to keep the defenses honest, Let the defense and ST handle the rest. That's the formula while EJ continues to develop! We're good for at least 10 wins and a wild card spot in 2015. He'll be back on the couch where he belongs watching the games on TV
  19. The kid is too full of himself. He needed a good humbling experience to bring him back down to earth. Maybe now he'll grow up and start doing the right things as a professional, or maybe he wont. Only time will tell.....
  20. I hope he gets it and does well. Good luck Nate.
  21. If they only knew what they were really getting..........
  22. The smart thing for Rex now is to just let Roman do what he does best with the offense and just oversee things as a coach. After the season, give him more input on which of those coaches stay, and which ones go.
  23. I feel so bad for Bortles. he's gonna be flattened toast.
  24. Yeah, that really is a concern. I would have liked to see him reach a little outside of the Jets for some of the position coaches. I wonder how much input Roman had in the selections.
