  1. Play calling could have been much better, and yes those called QB runs (except for the read options) are more often failing than succeeding
  2. Yeah I was noticing that too. And have to give the Pats credit for keeping him contained in the pocket for the most part. His mechanics still need work but overall, he's developing well for a guy in his first season as a full time starter.
  3. 1) Back to the penalties. No totally stupid ones this time, but the ones they did commit were very costly. 2) TT's passing was off, you can't miss TD passes to open receivers like that in a key game like this. 3) Overall, the defense did what they needed to do. They were putting on the hits on Brady, and held them to only 2 TD's, but he still took advantage of every blown assignment due to miscommunication - and there were a few of those. 4) Gronk didn't go nuts on us like he usually does, but Amendola did. 5) For what we're getting from Clay right now, we may as well kept Chandler at a much lower cost 6) Good to see Woods involved in the passing game again, and Hogan was his usual 7-11 self. Both need to be more productive when teams take away Sammy. 7) I like that 2 back set with Shady and Williams together, but I think when the Patriots adjusted to our outside running, we should have adjusted and took it right to them with straight ahead power running and more play action passing. 8) We had the right game plan, the execution was not what it needed to be. You CANNOT make the kind of mistakes that were made in this game and expect to win against the better teams in the league. Missed tackles, confusion on assignments, leaving points on the field with missed TD passes and kicks, and those F/N penalties! 9) Let's face it. The Patriots are who we thought they were - the better team - Period! And we let them off the hook. They did the things they needed to do to win. Take away Watkins, contain TT, and limit the damage our running game can do, and took advantage of the opportunities we gave them. We didn't take advantage of the opportunities they gave us to steal this game. It was there to take. 10) We're still in the playoff race so it ain't over yet. 4-2 over the next 6 weeks gives us a chance for a wild card, 5-1 gets us in. Gotta beat the rest of the AFC opponents first and foremost, and win at least 2 of the 3 left vs the NFC East. I still think it's doable. GO BILLS!!!!!
  4. He's a solid #2 receiver who's really being underused in this offense
  5. That's correct. Whaley's doing his part. Rex has to do better with our high priced front 4.
  6. Secondary is now the strength of the defense. LB's are the weak link, and Rex's scheme if just not getting the most out our expensive front 4.
  7. We need every advantage we can get, and having a healthy roster again will be a huge plus. We're going to have to put up at least 30 pts to win because there's no stopping Gronk, and Edelman always seems to find a way to come through for Brady when he needs him. I do like our corners against their receivers though. Pats will most likely double Sammy and stack the box against the run and force TT to go to his other receivers. Clay and Woods have to come through for us.
  8. I see 5 wins. They're going to lose one they have no business losing
  9. Not trusting that with the way they play from week to week
  10. 1) Winning the turnover battle goes a long way towards winning the game even though we tried hard to give it away. We're back in the thick of the wild card race. 2) Karlos Williams should at least be mentioned in the offensive ROTY conversation even if he doesn't win it. 3) Darby's come a long way from what we saw in the pre-season. He made a pro bowl statement. All he needs is a few more picks. 4) I like TT as our QB even though he still has to work on knowing when to throw the ball away sometimes. And he's taking too many hits and unnecessary sacks. 5) Nice to have a Clay sighting, but he should have been eating that defense up down the middle with all the blitzing the Jets were doing 6) Can't lighten up just because you're up 22-3 in the 3rd. That's how teams get back in the game. When you got em down, you stomp em and keep stomping em until it's over! 7) The strength of our defense has shifted from the D-line to the secondary. Rambo made some big plays when we needed them. 8) Shady's back to his old self, but those east-west runs are maddening. He's what we were hoping we had when Spiller was here. 9) Count on Fitz to throw that clutch interception. Some things never change. 10) A better team would got the comeback win over us. Can't fall asleep at the wheel like this next week in New England. We're gonna have to score 30+ points to beat them GO BILLS!!!!!!
  11. He's a good #2 receiver who won't get targeted much in this offense. He'd have much more success with a team that would utilize him better.
  12. I was watching the game and saw what he did, no surprise. Hasn't changed a bit. He cost us a couple games with his foolishness. Good player, bad judgement.
  13. I'll admit, I was also among those that asked who the hell is Tyrod Taylor. He's showing us who he is, and we're glad to have him here.
  14. This is not a good enough team yet to overcome that many penalties against a more quality opponent than Miami. They better get a grip on that and fast!
  15. This is not a good enough team to keep overcoming that many penalties.
  16. Yeah, the trickery sucked badly. Even though it's ok to call one every once in a while, they're not doing too good with those . Just stick with the str8 up power game.
  17. Rex's system is not getting the most out of that front 7. That's a major concern considering the investment in them. Agreed.
  18. 11) Rex's system is not the right fit for this defense. They're better in an attacking style 4-3 base defense like we saw last year. He needs to adapt his system to accommodate that for better results.
  19. Yeah, I hear ya buddy. I think our best chance to beat the Pats is to outscore them through time consuming scoring drives on the ground, and taking a few deep shots just to keep them from overloading the box. We're not gonna stop their offense like this. We have to control time of possession and limit Brady's opportunities.
  20. He wants to build a bully, but it has to be a smart bully. Sometimes this is a dumb bully that's its own worst enemy.
  21. Yeah. I saw that too. There's still work that needs to be done there, and I would like to see a stronger pass rush.
  22. Yeah, he's by miles an upgrade over what we had there. A very welcome addition.
  23. 1) A lot of points, a lot of penalties, but a win is a win. 2) What a difference a healthy lineup makes 3) Karlos Williams is a F/N monster. Him and Shady are an awesome 1-2 punch in this Ground & Pound offense. 4) Richie Incognito could be our best offensive lineman right now. He's earned his return to the lineup next year. 5) Welcome back Sammy. 6) Hughes was way too much for Fox to handle after he got called for that asinine hit out of bounds. 7) Defense may not look as dominant as they were over the last 2 years, but they got the job done. They're gonna be allright. 8) As a starting QB, TT is still pretty much a rookie and still learning, but give him credit for giving us what we need at the position. I like his upside. 9) Anybody miss Nate Hackett? 10) We need to repeat this performance (without all the F/N penalties) against the Jets on Thursday. Even if we win 2 of these 3 straight divisional games, we're still in the playoff hunt. I think we can win the rematch in New England. GO BILLS!!!
