  1. Born and raised Buffalonian She's hired
  2. I think he'll stay but he really needs to get Donnie Henderson back to coach the secondary. They were much better under him than they are right now. Agreed
  3. Good showing by the Bills on national TV, just wasn't good enough. They didn't totally suck, but they didn't win either. 1) Never a good idea to play 'Run and Gun' with a team you don't have enough guns to keep up with, but this time they hung in there with a title contender blow for blow. They just couldn't land the knockout punch at the end. 2) Refs were as bad at the end of the half as the Bills corners for most of the game. Sherman should have got a personal foul for wiping out Carpenter 3) Run defense looked good, pass defense??? Well, those were actually great TD catches by Graham. I guess we'll never know what we really have in our Tight Ends since we don't use them right. 4) TT played one of his best games of the season. Still needs consistency, but they didn't lose because of him. In fact, he was the reason they were in position to win this one despite it not being a good idea to have him passing over 30 times in a game (we don't win when that happens). I hope this was the turning point for him though. 5) Nice to have Woods back and healthy again. Too bad a career game at just the right time wasn't enough for a win. I thought that taunting call on him was weak though. 6) With a couple exceptions, Anthony Lynn called a great game and had a spot on game plan even though I still think they could have got even more out of the running game. 7) Darby - Sophomore jinx, Gilmore - contract jinx. Aaron Williams was every bit as bad at corner than these two are playing right now, but boy do they ever miss him at Safety. The difference without him back there is clear. We once thought the secondary was the strength of the defense and the linebackers were the weakest link. Nope, it's the other way around. Bad idea to let Donnie Henderson go, it's showing big time now. 8) And of course I have to save at lease one spot here for ......... F/N PENALTIES 9) Where did out special teams go? The block by Hughes spared them from being a total fail 10) Overall they gave a good showing in a very hostile (and loud as hell) environment against a team that is still a title contender. They positioned themselves to pull off an unlikely upset and just came up short. It was a very game effort though. Secondary let them down early and special teams didn't help either, but if what we saw Monday night is a sign of things to come offensively, no we're not going 7-0 the rest of the way but 5-2 (even 6-1) is still a possibility. We should win the rest of our home games unless we choke against the Steelers, I don't see a win in Oakland, but everybody else should fall. GO BILLS!!!
  4. Getting carved up by Brady (like everybody else is) run over by Ajaye, and making Fitz look like a hall of famer can have a very adverse affect on the defensive stats. This is their chance to pull off an unlikely upset. Seattle is not what they once were. We can match up with them in a low scoring defensive battle right now. We CAN shock them in their own back yard if the running game carries the offense.
  5. All good. He can take a quick break to get away and clear his head, then get back to trying to save the season - and his job.
  6. Wilson is also hobbled so he's not as effective. The Bills chances are much better in a low scoring game than they are in a shootout. Cleveland plays a good 2-3 quarters of football before the bottom fall out underneath them. I would have to go with the Bills chances. Dallas isn't gonna have THAT big of a letdown.
  7. Ok, let's do this ........ If one of the two were to happen, which one is more likely to occur: A) Bills shock the Seahawks in their own backyard, or B) Browns catch the Cowboys napping and get their first win?
  8. I'll take Blanton over Duke & Meeks anytime. PLEASE stay healthy and finish the season so neither one of them has to come off the bench and play in the secondary again in a Bills uniform.
  9. WOW! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000732550/article/norv-turner-resigns-as-vikings-offensive-coordinator Granted their O-Line got exposed, but are things really that bad that one of the longtime best O-Coordinators in the league walks away mid season? I wonder how much more is it to this.
  10. None of the teams in the AFC East are built to keep up with the Patriots point for point with Brady at the helm. They won't beat them in a shootout. Their only chance of beating them is if it stays a low scoring defensive battle which doesn't happen often unless Brady is hurt or has a really off game. We'd have lost the first game had Brady been starting. Under 20 points wouldn't have done it against him.
  11. Some things just aren't meant to be said on the air. That's one of them! SMDH
  12. Maybe Lee Evans will still have a little gas left in the tank to play alongside Percy
  13. One more WR to add to the injury report. Just hold together for 3 games. We should have Sammy back by then.
  14. That was a classic mismatch. Robey never had a chance unless Brady would have got off a bad throw.
  15. Halfway point and we're 4-4. Tank the season already my (didn't we hear that after 2 games too?). Nobody in the AFC other than the Patriots has anything all but locked up. Come out of the next 8 with a winning record gets us at 9-7. R-E-L-A-X and let this thing play out over the next 4 games. Then we'll see where things stand.
  16. Any QB with accuracy, touch, and can also read the defense & find his receiver quickly can be successful in this offense. More often than not he's going to be doing as little passing as possible anyway except when facing the Patriots.
  17. He's not being used right. His role is primarily that of an extra blocker for the running game who can go out and catch passes. For what he's being paid, he's supposed to be a targeted receiver who can also block but in reality this offense was built for running and he's going to be providing more run support than receptions (drops don't help, neither does TT not attacking down the middle.). It's not going to be a high powered scoring machine. That's not the coaching philosophy.
  18. NO! Stay with Taylor and let him work his way out of it. Yes he needs work on accuracy and touch but he can't fix those things on the sidelines. As for EJ, if TT goes down, he'll get his chance to win back the job. Until then, it belongs to TT until he bottoms out.
  19. He's not the kind of QB you want throwing 30-40 passes a game. In this offense, he just needs to be efficient and protect the ball, but he's thinking too much and not just letting it rip, and when he does, he lacks consistent accuracy and touch. Granted he's playing with end of the bench receivers, but still, he has to hit those passes. I still think he can get better.
  20. This loss was on TT, the receivers, secondary, and coaching. A complete team loss..
  21. TT's lack of accuracy and touch doesn't help the cause at all
  22. I saw more than that in the 1st quarter alone
  23. 1) Let's not kid ourselves here. We all knew this was coming. 2) It's the return of the $%#@*&? penalties 3) So when is bringing our QB down 7 yards out of bounds right in front of the ref legal? And of course they were letting the Pats get away with a lot of pushoffs 4) TT's passing needs improvement in both accuracy and touch. He didn't get a whole lot of help from the receivers either. Lost count of the drops. And why was he still in the game in the 4th when the game was clearly over? 5) Can't settle for FG's in the red zone against the Patriots. No guarantee Carpenter is going to make them anyway. Gotta get TD's 6) So much for Gilmore's big contract. Hogan? Really?? Granted his overall coverage is solid, but when he does get beat, it just looks so bad. 7) Gilislee is not Shady, but he's a very capable #2 back so there's really no need to cut back on the running, that's the bread and butter of this offense.. Really needed to run him and J Williams more in the first half 8) Pressure on Brady was there, hits on him were there, sacks were there, pass coverage wasn't though. Shaq Lawson is going to be a solid contributor once he gets settled in. The late shot on Brady was a rookie mistake. He'll learn and get better with more playing time. 9) And the injuries keep piling up. Granted it happens, but at some point the strength and conditioning program needs to be re-evaluated. When your fullback (Jerome Felton) is your leading receiver throughout most of the game, you have a major problem on your hands. 10) The reality - This Bills team is not built to keep pace with the Patriots offense point for point. They can't play 'run and gun up and down the field' with them, they have too many guns. The Bills won't beat them in a shootout. They're built to win close, low scoring games through strong running, ball control, and tough defense. New England may not lose another game unless they go into pre-season mode come week 16. To beat the Patriots with Brady playing at the level he's playing, they have to put up 35-40 or more points. That's not their style unless they're playing bottom feeder teams like San Francisco who couldn't stop the run with all 11 guys in the box. The best the Bills are going to do in this division is 2nd place. Next week in Seattle will be a more fitting matchup for them. It's going to be close and low scoring. Granted we are in desperate need of healthy playmakers on offense, but the Hawks aren't the scoring machine they once was, It's not a good one, but we do have a chance to pull off an upset.. GO BILLS!!
