Can't afford to give up too much. There's still other holes to fill. If Mayfield drops that far down, by all means take him. Jackson seems most likely to be there for the Bills so there's no need to give up a king's ransom to move up is we don't have to. 2019 picks are out of the question.
Beaner's playing it cool. He's not going to tip his hand but he does have the draft capital to move up if he wants to. The question is, will he go for broke or sit tight and roll the dice on one of the QB's dropping down far enough to make a better deal than the one the Jets made?
I see Mayfield in our future
We're going to have to do the same total makeover of the LB group this year that was done with the secondary last year with the exception of Milano. He'll start next season
The concern with #2 is that it wouldn't be a good idea to take the position backwards by moving on from him without having someone actually beating him out. If the next guy comes in and actually takes the job from him then fine, move on. If not, it makes more sense to keep him until someone can come in and take the job by beating him out. Make the next guy earn the job first before sending him on his way
He's absolutely right. Conservative play calling is for those who play not to lose instead of going for the win. The pass to Foles at the goal line was the kind of ballsy call that wins games.
I wouldn't do it. you never know if you're going to get the next Jim Kelly or Ryan Leaf, but if one does fall down, and they can get their guy by moving up only 3-5 spots without giving up too much, then consider it
He was developin fine until the wonder twins ( Dennison/Castillo ) took over and installed the zone blocking scheme. Maybe the new OC will go back to what was working better
I can see Dawkins taking over for Glenn at LT. He was pretty solid for a rookie. Look for Beane to add Glenn to a package dealn on draft day to move up and hopefully get us our QB of the future
There will be teams looking to make a deal for an extra pick or two in the early rounds, and maybe a team or two looking to move down in the first round. Just sit tight and wait for the right offer to come along before moving up
He actually got off to a good start with the Vikes before he got hurt again. We'd really have to work to keep him upright so he'll last long enough to do all those things
