Peterman is the choice right now.  IMO they should have cut him weeks ago and brought in someone more capable behind Anderson when he was playing.

Peterman is not a NFL caliber QB. He's not a back up caliber QB.  He's a nice guy who the team feels for but just can't hack it.

Yep. They made that bed, now them and the entire offense has to lay in it. Too bad they couldn't make a deal with KC for Alex Smith to come here and start the season so Allen could spend his rookie season learning behind a proven vet instead of a guy they yanked off the couch at the last minute, and knocked back down to the couch.

  2. The plan was clearly to tear down the offense and rebuild it. Boy did they ever tear this offense down. The teardown was highly successful. Now the reality is setting in that the rebuild is going to take longer than they thought. As much as I'm pulling for Peterman to look good against the Bears, he's not going to be a part of the rebuild. Good pre-season QB, disaster in the regular season. The way McD and Beane handled the QB situation was both irresponsible and incompetent. That just made matters worse, and there's nothing the OC can do to fix this mess but tailor his system to get the most out of what little talent he has to work with. Good luck with NP, we're stuck with him now.

This is the play sequence I want to see: a few throws to Zay in the middle.  Some completions.  Then make it look like he is telegraphing a sideline out.  All the DB's will jump, have him pump fake, then throw to a wide-open WR in the middle for a TD.

I can definitely see that happening. All they have to do is execute it right

I just hope Peterman has a game without INT's even if it is 14-22 for 144 yards and 0 TD and 0 INT: Just a game for him not to have to live with the INT talk. Seems like a good young man, dont wish ill will on him at all.

Best case scenario, He engineers a game winning drive in the last minute, and he gets through the game with 3 TDs and no interceptions

With the start this season and the injuries, the Bills are looking at another rebuild year... Disappointed in Beane not finding a place to trade Shady McCoy... He has been an all in performer for the team since he arrived... At 30, this future HoF back deserves to end his career with a contender and a shot at the Super Bowl...

Agreed. He deserves that much. It's a shame he won't get an opportunity here to be part of a title contender. This is officially a rebuild project on the offensive side of the ball

It's the same ultra-conservative offense with a bend but don't break defense that allows the team to stay within striking distance...but it's not going to get you a lot of wins. The problem is, these types of coaches are content with that.

God I hate that bend but don't break style of defense.  McD got it right when he took over the play calling vs the Chargers and had them playing aggressive and bringing the pressure on the QB.

  7. The offense IS really that bad. The line  can't get the running game going, Allen and now Anderson got the snot beat out of them, and all that's left will be Pickmaster Peterman. The defense is good enough to make this a playoff team but the offense is college level right now. The only thing this team can compete for with this offense is the #1 pick in the draft (an NFC West team will get that).  As a whole, this team isn't that bad but the reality is the offense is nowhere near good enough.  A defense in playoff mode with an offense in tank mode has no chance for success.

Beane has his work cut out for him. What a process.......

  8. Benjamin for sure, maybe Clay just to dump his salary. Shady deserves to be on a contender. Send him to a team that can give up a good WR who can actually help whoever will be the QB going forward. Ivory and Murphy can handle things in the running game. We're a long way from win now mode. The offense needs a full rebuild.
