Half the battle is finding a guy to develop. Check... then you have to get him to buy into riding pine and being a sponge... the hardest part... check. All we need is a coaching staff that is really good at development. I know it sounds ignorant but was Marrone there for Nassibs whole career? I say that because I want to know who developed him. Until you show some Spiller OR Brown off tackles. Probably. Maybe some pass pass run or run pass run or any deviation from the usual predictability on a normal basis. Play calling needs to be fine tuned

Hackett makes my head hurt. I like the passing plays. I like the general theory of Hackett. But! !! The game management is putrid. Running when passing works passing when running works. And all this run up the middle crap. The only coach I HATE. Is Marrone. He is so smug. Like he watched Ditka in the 80s as a kid and was like i wanna be like that when I get older. Didnt work. Im not sure what he knows. Im not convinced hebis a decent coach or even that smart. He keeps throwing around the same cliches. Im not an NFL fan but I know people say chip kelly is innovative and knows how to use talent. How do we get one of those. We have EJ who is not a conventional QB and never will be. But to say he will never be any good is a stretch. You need to build a scheme around him.... or any qb that you think is gonna be your guy. Orton announcement had me thinking we signed a major player. The way theybtalked him up had me thinking I had no idea who Kyle orton really was. Marrone is so cute I could see him running Eli or Aaron Rodgers on read options. Because no one expects it "obviously". The more I think about it. Marrone is more in my personal dog house than Hackett.

Defense is a 3rd of the game and we are only outstanding with 1 phase poor with another and passable with the 3rd phase. His staff is poor. Its bush league. He was so good he could just bring his boys from 'cuse to help out. Rookie coaches go get people that can help. You dont learn the job while trying to teach. That is also my philosophy on EJ. He cant qb this team while the vast majority of the offense is either 2 yr or less or new position. Its crazy Eric wood and cordy Glenn are the exceptions. You have to have a vet somewhere... coaching and also playing. Or you get... this

Lol exactly. The gm does not pick the scheme that a team runs. Coaches tell GMs what they need. And then thr GM goes and gets it. Often times the GM will make moves... Mike Williams... but its usually after a conference with the coach. In my opinion the HC makes the personnel decisions. Marrone fleeced us. Said he could use the tools... weapons we already had. Got the job and has us running the most boring Offense since Jaron. Chan's offense with Pettine/Schwartz defense would be at WORST a fringe playoff team. I think Chan could have used EJ I know our line was better... as someone earlier said... same line looks eons worse. Another thread someone said that we now have a bona fide wr corp top to bottom. Spiller Dixon and Brown lest we not forget FREDEx. We need someone who has that type of philosophy. And marrone will hang as chan did. Chan couldn't fire his buddy (Wannstedt). And Marrone wouldn't get rid of crossman who we have a million specialized special teasers to help. And he wont relieve Hackett of his duties. If the Bills won as much as the patriots.I wouldn't care if Marrone was a deaf mute. And it's not about quantity. Its instead quality. Which 38 snaps is Hughes playing. is Mario playing. There is no excuse for them to be on the side line in crunch time or 3rd down. Barring injury. And we have all seen the whole d line out at the same time. You mention the offense. We have punt catchers we have kick specialists we have all this unnecessary crap but the few FEW positions we need to address have not been properly addressed. And we still STILL are 7-6 would anyone be shocked if we werr 8-8 7-9? After starting 5-3 I'm not satisfied. NO sir Marrone has not done a good job
