Respect you for the sentiment and taking the time to respond... but wasn't wood drafted as a Guard. He replaced some jobber got hurt 2 or 3 times... and coming from me... leg injuries are killers! Its not hand placement. It for me is the ability to anchor. Against the Jets who usually run the dt 1 shade which the center has to atleast chip... or hand off to the guard. Against the 43 you are right it is the guard responsibility to play that tackle. But when i evaluate woods blocking. I am looking at HIS ability to block. But i cant believe im the only one who worries when playing a nose. Suh is gonna be handled by either guard i can feel it. Side note NE is still running a 30 front aren't they?

Take a look at different defenses. Rex is the best defensive coach to have your young guys trying to decipher in practice and minicamp. Especially what i was hearing from that 46. Its great for our o line to learn to block too!

I don't know why. I feel like barring injury, it will be Cassel. The vet status might be too much to ignore. In which case as i gave said before. We need a guy who can get our receivers the ball in a position to make plays. I foresee a lot of YAC yards coming from this group

I respectfully think Miller is the first step to proving you wrong. I really liked Erving out of FL State but I think you will see Miller turn into the best OL man we have
