Darby should never have been on Gronk nor should Hughes have been. We knew .. WE KNEW Gronk and Edelman were the hot covers. We knew that Bradys percentage goes way down when rushed up the middle. Very logical except wouldnt that moreso the case because of the athletic edge. Gronk seems to shift the paradigm in terms of what a big tight end can do. That sounds quite lofty If Gilmore plays the rest of the season like he did last week he is probowl caliber. Just an honest question. What about that matchup leads people to believe that this is the ideal pairing. Wouldnt it be better to put Lawson who has proven that he can stay with smaller faster guys while nullifying Gronkowskis length and coming in a mere 20-25 pounds lighter. I think a second option would be Bradham. I just dont think I like the idea of safeties and certainly cbs matched up with the big guy. Any ideas would be greatly welcomed.

But i know what I see and EJ is one of my more enjoyable bills. And i think he he belongs. I just cant get into the stat driven whos whys wheres and whats. Im more observational. I may be way off base. But people know Sammys ceiling. IF HE HAS ONE. He is no where near a bust. But me personally. I think he can be a top 5 receiver right now. I think there is no question why we... gave up two first.... used 2 firsts... whatever. We saw Sammy do work in college. We saw slants bubble screens we saw jet sweeps. The OBJ obsession was nauseating because we know Sammy has the talent, has the potential to make you say OBJ who? Sammy has 1200 yard... MINIMUM potential. This guy is an unquestioned stud. UNQUESTIONED but we haven't seen him make anyone miss. We havent seen him hit anyone yet. And we are waiting. I think I over value the guy but thats based solely on his proven ability. Also... lole other posters have said. Being able to beat a double team is what makes bona fide number 1 receivers. Consistency makes number 1's. Sammy needs to cement himself in that class

If you have Gilmore and Drayton Florence or some other physical cb sure. But Darby isnt going to jam many CBs successfully. Also i dont think Gilmore is good at recovery he needs time to disect the play. He cant stay in the receivers pocket. And is vulnerable against double moves and slants.

I know im in the vast monority but i want to see Lawson on Gronkowski

When we have a bona fide franchise LT ok... also its too early to call Gilmore a shutdown corner... lets let him play a bit to earn that title. Bradham on the other hand is as asvertised. NASTY. VOCAL. AND someone you have to account for. I think you will see him emerge as a leader by years end. He has already begun, evident in the last game.

We played against 2 rookie DL men we should have just destroyed. Kendall Langford is decent but there is no way that performance from all of Wood Glenn and Henderson should be swept under the rug. We can not run up the gut with a center with no push. Also 2 tackles that look like they are walking in cement shoes wont get it done either. There is no way our "supposed" stud LT should allow a rookie to control the edge. The line really limited what we could do on the ground. I need to see that cleaned up and then we can assess Romans offense.

I thought thats what I saw. Lol. I thought it might have been Tarpley. Take it a step further, this line is a sum of ALL its parts. Mario, Jerry, Kyle, Marcel and even Corbin all make each other better. Separate, all good players. Together UNSTOPPABLE.
