  1. That's fair but it is also fair to not assume that because he went to Alabama he is a difference maker. Like you said there are more players who we can name who busted out. But how many dominant players at that school came in and were ordinary at best. I was just stating that what he did at bama doesnt matter when trying to project his translation to the league
  2. Ruben Foster hasnt played a down yet and Hightower is in the hoodies D. Je made Rob Ninkovich relevant. Like i said John. There havent been many. That team is a perennial powerhouse with no dificiencies.... you named some ok ones. Upshaw and Moseley are no sure misses. Hell even Hightower is a system fit. for those 4 you named what about Rolando McClain, Javier Arenas,Mark Barron, Dee Milner, Dre Kirkpatrick. Hell even our own Marcell Dareus. none of these names. ON DEFENSE proved to be world beaters. John Im just saying Alabama is almost like the New England of college. Lets look at the offense too... Henry, Yeldon, Richardson, McCarron, Andre Smith, both Kuandjio's. John im not saying they automatically suck im just saying that because they came from Alabama. I personally dont give them the nod. They dont transition the way I expect.
  3. What about Payton?
  4. I cant get excited about an Alabama player. They tend to come to the league and blend in or underwhelm. I have a hard time naming a star from Bama. If he works out good of not.... OK. 2 first rounders this year.Eh a stretch he was drafted where he was but second rounders are usually starters too so lets see whatbwe get out of him
  5. that would be a great season for him but whst about the progress of the team. as much as I'm not a fan i would LOVE to use 2 firsts elsewhere so I'm rooting HARD for him now.
  6. Gugny is 1000 percent right. that middling crap is for the birds. a year or 2 of injuries of bad luck should get you 7-9. that shouldnt be an expectation. Thats my whole beef with the Tyrod gives us our best chance arguement is- our best chance at what? to middle again? if the expectation isnt that tyrod can get us to a bowl then lets move on. we always pick between 9-12 and we miss out on people every year while puttin a band aid on important issues. everyone preaches the next man up philosophy but we cant do that. we still cant identify all the starters on defense namely lb and even worse, WHEN someone on this team goes down the next man up is questionable at best. this is playoff or bust. if you dont think you can make a playoff run its time to bust out and make your team the way you really want it to be
  7. Rex Ryan wouldnt agree with your last sentiment
  8. wow... could you imagine that type of scenario bills jump from 17 year hiatus to champion. and STILL being able to get their blue chip qb in the draft. lol straight out of a comic book
  9. not me. thats most of the reason i didnt want tyrod back. he may give us "the best chance to win" but what are we winning? we always middle. i want either the 1st or 32nd pick at some point. im so tired of picking 9-12
  10. I went linebacker. This to me is the only area that won't smoothly transition from 34 to 43. I dont see where Ragland fits, Preston Brown is average. LorAx yet a different responsibility has he ever had to play coverage? We drafted 2 safety converted fringe college linebackers. Gerald Hodges might be our best bet. I dont know guys.
  11. all he has to do to turn the bills defense around is go back to a 43. will we be top 3? prob not but top 10 is my expectation
  12. be jw sucked and Gillislee didnt. diesnt mean he was worth 4+ mil.. if we can find ANYONE to keep Tolbert from being out number 2. we SHOULD be ok our offense would still be the same ranking wise but more dangerous. that my friend is how you make a difference
  13. Per game, a player making 11 mil a season makes 200k per game more than Steph curry so? You want to make more money, let's add in more games. Steph doesnt deserve that money. Neither does Kyle Lowry but the fact of the matter. Per game NFL is beating NBA in salary. Factor in more time spent practicing traveling. This is what happens
  14. i would love to say taylors light will come on and stay on. i sure would love to use TWO first round picks elsewhere.
  15. well don't sir. well done just a concept huh
  16. HC - Doesnt matter as long as he gave autonomy to his OC and DC. OC - Chan Gailey DC - Perry Fewell ST - Greg Williams? Does this coach really matter in the grand scheme ugh i hated the decision to make Marrone head coach
  17. i actually have to agree with you. he was a tough guy in college. we have yet to see him make a move in the open field and take it to the house. its so frustrating. i feel like clemson sammy isnt actually a bill at all. someone said that its because of the 6' cbs from g tech and normally i would call bs. but sammy doesnt play with the same im a man mentality stars play with
  18. when was Sammy's growth spurt
  19. how when we never run it
  20. Would love to have Pennington. and i think this is the best comparison.
  21. He still wouldnt retire a bill. he would go into free agency. what is missed. he wants to keep playing. i firmly believe that had he not said he wanted to play until 40, or had he said he was going to retire at the end of his last season here... he would have never been cut.
  22. confusion in zone coverage? what!!!
