What the Bills need to do to take the next step
Buffalo Boy replied to HaldimandBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well Yeah….. but the whole team didn’t show up at home against the Bengals so that says other things need work too. It is a serious thing that our D line is suspect with all the capital we have thrown at it. Injuries played a distinct part last year though so who knows. IF we catch some good luck health wise this year, we have enough to win it all but the coaching on both sides of the ball needs to be better. Offensively, Josh needs to be pushed into taking the underneath more often ( understand the elbow was an problem ) and the designed run stuff for him has to be diminished by at least 50% during the regular season. We have enough backs in our stable to generate a ground game . -

It was the Rams/Cinci game and we would have beaten the Rams -

So if the season is a smashing success and we win 14 games but we get our asses drubbed, at home ,and our team looks like they quit before the game started? Will the He’s the best coach we’ve had in decades crowd want to give him a fourth chance in a row? -
I totally see the kid being SLOWLY worked in by our conservative coaching staff and ending up in the mid 300s with 27 catches ( one or two crazy stat padding catches)

I’m not feeling it. I’ve talked myself into too much, too many times. Our O-line was borderline abysmal last year. We got a couple guards. Are they upgrades? This whole board thought Saffold was last year! That’s what we did for Josh’s protection. MEH We signed some more D line help though😐 We have one receiver on this team that we can trust, out of the gate. He doesn’t seem too pleased about something. Maybe it’s not having another bonafide NFL starting caliber receiver to take some of the heat off. Running game??? Can we have one? Can we have swing passes and dump offs to Cooke as an extension of said running game??? OC??? Like listening to everyone crowing about our “#1Defense” the year before, what happens in the playoffs is what matters. How did our Offense fair in the playoffs last year? How does that bode for this year? Head Coach??? I want to be wrong!!!!! I want to eat tons of Crow as we hoist a Lombardi!!!! This year I am decidedly skeptical. I am not talking myself into it this year. They have to prove it.

I like it but it reeks of equal doses of Desperation and Whatvtook you so long. -

I hope this year he comes out and proves us wrong but this take is just about how I feel. Add in the absolute, inexcusable ass whooping by the Bengals on our home turf. 🤮🤮🤮 We looked like a 4/12 team looking to the off-season. Except for Diggs , he was pissed off and disgusted……. I mean , “ Not a team player” -
Is this year make or break for McDermott?

After our playoff exit this year , I immediately put McD on my personal hot seat. This off-season has flown by due to how disillusioned I’ve become. The 13 seconds and lack of Defensive accountability was egregious. Letting Frazier stay was ridiculous. Blaming anything on a special teams coach was worse. The offense looked out of sync last year and Josh was used as a “ Get out of jail free” card when they couldn’t get anything else to work. If the new guards work out there is no reason to not have a running game. With Cooke, we should have a short passing game out of the backfield. Will we??? 🤷♂️ If we get embarrassed again, in the playoffs again, it is time for a new coach while Josh still has peak performance years left in him. -
Imagine having a #2 who didn’t HAVE to overcompensate me drops. Shakir has much better hands but unless Diggs schooled the heck out of him this off-season he’s not ready either.

Panther’s Hated the Rhule era. Very excited to watch Frank and Co build this team. Interested to see if Young has it or not at QB.

Are the Jaguars a lock for the one seed?
Buffalo Boy replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
After the first two games we looked great, after that 🤷♂️ I remember the Pittsburg game being easy, then every game was a struggle , or seemed that way. I’m happy we won all those games but nothing looked like an easy out before we even hit the halfway point last season. -

The Bills didn’t appear to be able to beat the socks off themselves, last year…… even if they were barefoot. -

Nick Foles...Better Backup or Keep the Bromance
Buffalo Boy replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
In 2018, he started off better than Josh. A guy at work ( Panthers fan and dick) took a lot of pleasure sending me the weekly QB power rankings and telling me we got the wrong Allen. I think KA strung together 5 wins and there was local talk in Clt about them possibly having their new Franchise QB😂 Amazing how dump offs to a healthy McCaffery can pad a QBs stats. I don’t dislike him as our backup but if Josh goes down for any extended period of time the Real Wrong Allen is only going as far as our O line/Running game and Cook out of the back field on dump offs get us.
