Big EJ fan but TT was the undeniable best QB this pre season. Also an ABC guy. Kinda feel like EJ might be the #2. Cassel like Harvin listed at 2 but are they really. I can't see Cassel running the scout team. Fully support TT and hope he is able to last the season but think that might be a tall order....it only takes one hit/fluke play.

Woods will quickly show his ball catching acumen and we will see who TT decides to favor. Barring injuries to either, Woods will have more receptions and yards at the end of the season. I highly doubt Harvin makes it through a full season. I acknowledge Harvin's skills but still think he's a weeny and don't like the signing. I hope I'm wrong about him, even for one year.

Just listened to an interview, here in Charlotte, on local radio with Greg Bell. He covers the Seahawks for the Tacoma sentinel. Panthers pick up a receiver from the Seahawks. He referenced the pending signing of Freddy. He said he was one of a handful of guys that Lynch was close to and he and Lynch had been in contact almost daily since Lynch left Buffalo. He said Freddy was brought in to keep Lynch happy as this is most likely Lynch's last season. I LOVE Freddy. If this happens the Seahawks are my NFC team to win the Superbowl. I hope the Bills do but if not the Seahawks are purely for Freddy's sake. That would be awesome for him!!!

TT starts but EJ backs up. Don't give a damn about his practices. He's demonstrated he's a gamer!!!! Cassel will be best 3rd stringer in league.

To the guy who said EJ can't throw the ball before the receiver is open. The receiver and DB weren't at the 10 yard line on the left end zone fade and the ball was already in the screen shot last game. EJ has won games on this league. He beat a good Dolphins team last year. He did it with Moron and Can't Hackett as his coaches. Dude isn't s dumpster fire.

No to Cassel!!!! Cassel = Mediocrity!!!! I don't have a problem with TT but I don't think he makes it through the season. I also think EJ is farther along in going through his progressions. Either way, Roman has experience bring along a young QB and I think he can do so with either of these two. Personally, I still hold a torch for EJ.

TT looks good but am still not the least bit convinced he can make it through a 16 game season...though I HOPE he can. No denying the spark he brings to the offense. I am positive that Cassel could not have avoided the rush or rifled those passes into 17 (including the dropped TD) the way EJ did. I don't believe for a second we win this game if Cassel is in for the second half. I hope that EJ gets to start the fourth PS game.

Take a late round flyer on Ed Dickson. Just a hunch but Panthers other WRs leave a lot to be desired. Dickson had a good year a few years ago with Baltimore and has been ok in camp here. Oline not that good here and running game feels suspect.

I live in Charlotte and listen to local sports during the day. They are losing their minds over this. One guy called up and literally proposed that they tank the season because they are now a 5-11 team at best.

I saw him lead a team against a good Carolina D on a game winning TD. He beat Chicago and Miami to start last year. The Chargers killed us as a team, Defense too and he was MURDERED against Texans and still was in it at the end. I'm not calling him Tom Terrific but I wish he had 1. Legitimate coaching in his first two years. 2. played all of last year and gotten the live reps. Who honestly cares that Saint Dougy of the Morons got to 9-7 last year? We would not be having this discussion had EJ played. he would have been already cut or the presumptive starter. Cassel is Orton!!!!! Cassel will always be Orton!!!! No More Effing Ortons!!!!!!

Excepting Gailey and Gilbride we haven't had an offensive coordinator that a Bills fan could believe in in forever. Couple that with the fact that Whaley has created the fastest roster we have ever had. Furthermore, our players look crisp at top speed. I attribute this to proper coaching and increased reps with the two field practices. Without injecting the QB argument into this, they looked like they all knew where they were going for the most part. The O-Line looked lightyears beyond where they were in REGULAR season games. This team looks PREPARED. This offense looks FAST, both in tempo, execution and player speed. For once, I don't feel like I'm talking myself into a good record. I don't feel like I'm peering through rosed colored glasses. This Offense should be a minimum of ten spots higher in end of the season rankings on most fronts. Tell me why I'm wrong.

i couldn't agrmore about the lack of arm strength. His first throw took forever and it was a five to eight yard dig. WTH

There was a TT play where he dropped back with two wideouts at the top of the screen, he was staring down the middle of the field(didn't see anyone running a crossing route but hard to tell w/o all 22 view) and then he much to quickly throws a dumpoff to the right. I like TT but he is not a passer yet, if only in his own mind. I think we could win a bunch with him but am afraid it will be the one hit he doesn't see that will end his season. Last year I'll give you. Watching Thad Lewis from the bench is like learning Transmission rebuilds from Martha Stewart.

TT the announced starter next week but who is #2. Unless Rex is completely throwing convention to the wind the third pre season game is when the starters get their 3 quarters of play in and they rest them in the last game. So, one would assume the decision would be made before the third game and whoever starts that game is the presumptive starter. Do they play 2 or 3 of them with the starters in the third game, giving each of them a quarter?

Pricey in that he will never get us anywhere. We've had Fitzy, we've had Orton. Cassel is NOT the future. He is not even a stop gap. That is why he is pricey. He costs a shot at the future. If we keep him as the third string but I don't think that would happen.

The bad throw, was the result of a sack not taken, piss poor throw though but still a play with some redeeming quality from QB position.

Remember how good Bledsoe was the first year with us? He was breaking Kelly's records. The next year he came out of the gate the same until we played the first NE game. After that, he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Guys were running ten yard dig routes just to give him a chance and he was still missing them. That has always stuck with me.

No. Never had a good QB until Cam and was lucky to have played under Chud the first two years with Cam. No super bowl wins. Not a on a consistent contender. Also, just a dick who didn't play well with others. Attacked two teammates with sucker punches. First guy had a broken eye socket in film room. Never helped any of the young receivers that were brought in grow. If it took Reed, Loftin and Brown that long; and in light of the fact that his ranking is going to plummet in upcoming years do to passing becoming the default offensive play... He might make it in 30 years as an old timer.

Been saying it would take a while for offense to gel during regular season......first pre preseason scrimmage and the suicide rate might spike in Beau Fleuve?
