Having had the opportunity to watch Ron Rivera go through the first time HC growth process in Charlotte, I hate to tell some of you but it takes years. Is he good? Beats the heck out of me but my gut feeling is, with the right OC and the right players the potential is there. There were people on this board calling for Ryan to get more time at the end of last year. These guys haven’t even run their own draft yet and it’s already time to can him? I think that is pretty hasty. I’m definitely ready to give McBean all of next year before even suggesting this is a failed experiment. If at this point next year they have had an above average draft and the picks are showing the growth one would hope to see by the second half of the season, I’ll be ready to have more patience .

Hindsight is a powerful thing. These guys haven’t even had a crack at the draft yet.

Kinda like Peterman??? Sorry , I had to. TT getting us into the playoffs means he might stick around which drives ME bonkers. We all know the 8-8 middle of the road, middling draft pick, same old rut argument. That is what your scenario results in. I assumed this was going to be another suck fest year in the preseason. I was ready for it and didn’t take the bait at 5-2. With a larder full of draft picks, we could be watching the beginning of a championship team by this time next year with good drafting.We don’t know how McBean will draft but that is why you hold the draft. Withh TT winning three more games, we may well miss the playoffs and the higher draft picks.

There is a growth process for coaches too. I was concerned about McD’s learning curve this preseason. Sometimes the hardest lessons are the lessons that really sting. All coaches have some sort of bravado about them. All leaders do. The question is, does he get rattled or does he keep on keepin on and build for next year.

I live in Clt and follow the Panthers. Pretty much watching them from here on out as this team has become unwatchable.

I think Sammy was too expensive and they thought he wasn’t going to stay after playing out his contract regardless. It has been rough without ANY legitimate deep threat.

I certainly have no love for him

I don’t believe, and haven’t since the end of 2015, that he is capable of leading a team to a Championship. Unless you give him the 85 Bears D or the Dilfer LED Ravens D. I don’t see us getting that kind of once in a generation D here so I’m threw with him because it is SB as the only goal. I don’t want to limp into the playoffs as a 6 seed and get embarrassed just to end the “ drought”. He’s a good guy. Maybe on the right team he works. He doesn’t work for me.

To be fair to McD he wasn’t his first choice?

I don’t think it was Dennison’s decision to trade Sammy or gut the roster. This receiving Corp is capable of playing a short game. Is asking your QB to throw with timing, Place balls in the field of play and anticipate routes too much for any OC to ask?

Jones was never going to be a deep threat.

While not a Dennison fan, I can appreciate his pain watching a Dimestore M. Vick try to run his offense.

How about during the four losses?

Can you blame Dennison after watching that full body vomit all over the field that was TTs play last week? Funny how suddenly getting benched gave him a little impetus to actually push the ball down the field, albeit in Garbage time

This!!!! All day!!!! Why wasn’t he showing us that last week? And in Garbage Time, he still threw some crappy balls as usual. The pass he did hit to Z.Jones on the left sideline, why can’t he ever throw it so the receiver can stay in and get YAC? That would have been a TD if he doesn’t run him out. Over threw someone in the right corner of EZ who was open but as usual, didn’t pull the trigger in time. We don’t have a QB on this team! I am glad we lost and hope we lose the remainder. This team is not going anywhere.

We weren’t in the hunt before the season or at any time during the season. How many times can you see the same movie and still be surprised by the ending. Repeat after me: This is not a playoff caliber team. Lose out and get as high as you can in the draft. Anything else is folly coupled with delusion. This season was tanked!!!!

Johnson hasn’t quit

The tank was on from the Watkins trade. In typical fashion we won enough early games for a bunch on here to Billieve. Play Peterman, take the losses, can TT and draft as high as possible next year. The D sucks, The O Sucks Grin and bear it while we plan for the future.
