I like Peterman. He’s a Team guy who you want in your locker room. If you believe we have a legit shot to do something of meaning this year( deep run on the playoffs) you approach the season trying to get each win above all else. If you believe you are a team that has a lot of holes or lacks depth at too many positions then you can get yourself into the mindset of starting your rookie QB. Peterman is a backup. If we were able to draft our backup last year, and keep him on a cheap rookie deal, bully for us. Allen has “ IT”. He is also raw as heck. He also looks like a guy who you can’t “ ruin”. But, if you think Kelly had a rough introductory season in ‘86 you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. JA is going to do some STUPID rookie stuff. Bad picks, bad clock management, take unnecessary sacks and just generally look Rookie-ish. I can handle watching that knowing the dividends it will pay next year when we have the cap room and draft picks to surround him with better talent.

Sounds fair to me.

It’s like he’s back in college. Watching NP run around like a chicken with his head cut off and still be too slow to not get hit. Or, he’s over the LOS ..... Allen is capable of functioning under these conditions

Allen is athletically capable of keeping these plays alive. He also has the experience playing this kind of slop ball. Problem is, can he then learn proper mechanics.

Hate to Go the well too many times but what about Damiere Byrd from the Panthers. He might actually be available and he can flat out FLY.

Yep!!! JA will have rough patches but he looks the part of someone who the game is not “too big” for.

I’m sure it’s on the OC or game plan, it couldn’t have ANYTHING to do with TT’s passing acumen ( or lack there of)?

The “ Legend” continues.... Other than the pick, which was a bad throw to the backs back shoulder I thought his passes were better. He was dropping them perfectly on those go routes. The ball to KB on the scramble was sweet on both ends; pitch and catch. Ill be interested to see AJ next week with the ones and even more interested to see JA with the ones or twos.
