I used to play guitar in a band. Back when Tremors was still around numerous Bill’s would show up at our gigs. Ronnie and Al would cordon off the end of the bar and they would congregate down there. Bruce, Thurman, Talley.... I’ve never done the “ Hero” thing so I never went and bugged them which I always imagine how players must feel when on private time. Metzelaars walked into the restaurant I was managing in Charlotte NC in 1998. He had a few special needs kids with him and was quietly taking them out. We spoke for a few minutes and he was gracious as could be. He was coaching here at Charlotte Christian but don’t know if he still is. Finally, I used to use a certain Polish named Chiropractor who worked with the Bills during the Super Bowl era. Talleywalked out of his office one day while I was in the waiting room. I shook his hand and told him how much I appreciated him. Still one of my favorite player from those years.

You clearly weren’t reading the threads on here two years ago. I , and a few others, were soundly mocked for suggesting he needed some time before one could call him a bust. It’s not the Chiefs and it isn’t innovative.

The Rams Offense is basically a play action passing offense predicated on Gurley running well. It is not very innovative. And, the NFC west is a bigger dumpster fire than the AFC east. They have 6 gimmee games right off the bat.

Goff was considered a bust and wasted pick ,by many, 2 years ago. The Rams were a complete dumpster fire. A lot can happen with a QB on his rookie contract and cap space .

He drafted a QB to develope into a franchise guy. Rookie QBs need running games. At some point, we need to give a coach the 4-5 year leash to put his plan in motion. The HC and OC we ran out of here 5 years ago for the same reason were in the AFC Championship game with Bortles at QB.

This is a rebuilding year. Rebuilding years suck. As a head coach he can’t come out and say, “ We gutted the team for salary cap purposes and the offensive skill players we have aren’t good enough to win with.” He has to BS his way through this season.

Different fan bases at different stadiums ha e completely different expectations. The PSL in Carolina’s stadium has ruined any chance of a home field advantage. They are referred to by Carolinians as a “ Wine and Cheese” crowd. Houston is a rich city and I’m guessing it might be the same. I’ve been to numerous Panther’s games, both against the Bills dressed in Bills garb and as a Panthers fan. It doesn’t matter. At the Carolina/Patriots preseason game, I was behind a Panther guy with his 7-8 year old boy. I was cheering the Panthers and using zero vulgarity. The guy was giving me dirty looks and the kid was looking terrified. By the end of the game the kid was raising Cane and fist bumping me but the Dad was still being a little pissy about it. A Pats fan at the end of my row started shooting his mouth off about “ Towmy” while the Pats were getting killed. I got up and booed him and he shut up. Again, my Carolina friends were giving me grief about not starting a fight which I wasn’t close to doing nor do I think the Pats fan was afraid of. Rust belt fans are a different breed and ticket prices around d the country dissuade the average guy from going to games.

They come from the same tree, different eras. If the Jim Kelly of old was a kid in College or young player in the NFL he wouldn’t be as bad as Chad but he’d be catching some flack for his off the field activities.
