Different fan bases at different stadiums ha e completely different expectations. The PSL in Carolina’s stadium has ruined any chance of a home field advantage. They are referred to by Carolinians as a “ Wine and Cheese” crowd. Houston is a rich city and I’m guessing it might be the same. I’ve been to numerous Panther’s games, both against the Bills dressed in Bills garb and as a Panthers fan. It doesn’t matter. At the Carolina/Patriots preseason game, I was behind a Panther guy with his 7-8 year old boy. I was cheering the Panthers and using zero vulgarity. The guy was giving me dirty looks and the kid was looking terrified. By the end of the game the kid was raising Cane and fist bumping me but the Dad was still being a little pissy about it. A Pats fan at the end of my row started shooting his mouth off about “ Towmy” while the Pats were getting killed. I got up and booed him and he shut up. Again, my Carolina friends were giving me grief about not starting a fight which I wasn’t close to doing nor do I think the Pats fan was afraid of. Rust belt fans are a different breed and ticket prices around d the country dissuade the average guy from going to games.

They come from the same tree, different eras. If the Jim Kelly of old was a kid in College or young player in the NFL he wouldn’t be as bad as Chad but he’d be catching some flack for his off the field activities.

A coach is supposed to put his players and team in the best position to succeed. This requires the coach to understand his players strengths and weaknesses, as well as, the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses. The coach must also situational play calling and how it relates to the strengths and weaknesses of both teams, in the moment. When you have have a QB who is notoriously and historically bad at throwing out routes you don’t put him in a position where it is even an option. I know I’m not the only one who immediately thought that we were probably screwed with no time outs and a two minute drill with Peterman. McD should have been on the phone to Daboll and told him to only work the middle of the field. It was there for the taking and a minute forty was plenty of time if you’ve coached your team to run up immediately as well as have the next play called. Peterman shows he can throw over the top and slants a thousand times better than to the sideline on an out or dig. I knew it, the Texans knew it. Their D was called specially for the pick six to occur....... and they let Peterman go out and do what he does best. This was so obvious to me in the moments before the first pick. It says to me neither Bills coach was even aware of such fundamental football while the Texans coaches were immediately all over it. McD has the D playing lights out. He needs to find a competent OC if he wishes to keep this job and get things turned around. An OC he can depend on to run the other half of the team.

The amount of cap space he is taking up, the effect he is having on the locker room and the won/ lost record Dont see him as a catch. Bet Gettlemen wishes he had traded him for a couple first rounders and a potential new QB in next years draft.

Disagree. A bunch of us would call him the douche he is. some of us, me included , weren’t enamoured with Watkins when he did much less stupid, but still arrogant , stuff.

You want to talk about abysmal QB play? 9 of 21 for 123 yards. 2 ints. 0 TDs. Who??? Rothlisberger’s first Super Bowl. 21-10 victory. He was god awful but he turned into a SB winning QB afterwards that any of us would have loved.

See my above reply to Biscuit. I’m in Complete agreement about KB. Said so during game thread about his coverage jogging on the flee flicker. Dude IS slow! And when he finally catches that 3 rd down he’s within a hair of fumbling the freaking ball?

So far, he seems to be able to throw it on a rope like nobody I’ve seen in a long time. His long balls are consistently overthrown. Is it because his receivers ( KB on flee flicker ) are simply blanketed and he recognizes it and decides to over throw to be safe while looking for a hold/ PI? Or, does he just suck at the long ball.? If Sammy was here, would he suddenly look better or would he overthrow him as well? We can’t know until he has legitimate receivers , which he doesn’t.

Have to say, he threw one away today ( low bar) but it was a sign of progress. It is these super small plays here and there that I look for. I missed most of thecsecond half( have it recorded/ out of town) but I didn’t see him do anything egregiously stupid today.
