This year is a start over. At safety, CB, LB, WR. None of us wished for this. We wished for a SB with Super Bowl capable teams. Defensive implosions kept us from that wish. Now we are rebuilding on the fly. Wasting a couple more years of Josh’s prime is NOT worth wishing for.

NOPE!!!! We have Josh, that is it. Zero over simplification. No other player on this roster strikes fear in the hearts of opposing coordinators on either side of the ball. This one player is what keeps this whole thing going. Subtract Josh and add a middle of the pack QB and this team is not even in playoff contention half the time.

This is the only place I differ. I think they know this is a rebuild and they know it. This is a “ take your lumps” year and try not to get Josh killed. This is a cobbled together WR group and Josh is going to have to make do. I would be really surprised if Beane brings someone during the season except for a rash of injuries dictating it.

👆!!! We have allowed complete malfeasance to be accepted and even exalted as Good Coaching. Allen being the thing giving this thought process legs. We are half way through Allen’s career and we are “ mini rebuilding” on the fly. IF, they are just trying to not beat him up this year because they understand privately that it is a rebuild year, I’m down with that. If however this is what McBeane thinks a SB winning roster and MO is then we are completely screwed.

TE is a QBs favorite target when he’s not sure of his receivers. Especially at the start of the season, I see Josh dealing to those two out of comfort and familiarity. Towards the end of the season is when I expect Knox’s targets might fall off. Over but not by much.

A healthy Rogers gives the Jets the potential to be a dangerous beast.

We are everywhere. A couple years ago we flew through Amsterdam Schiphol airlort. We saw two separate Bills fans and hit them with Let’s Go Buffalo and got some enthusiastic returns. It was cool and surprising at the same time.

Trey never fully got up to speed. Miller plays a style that absolutely depends on his speed and bend. Add the loss of Floyd from the mix and who do offenses have to double team on our D line? Acknowledging that the chances of him getting back to dominating being slim isn’t failure to wrap one’s mind around anything. It’s called being objective. If Miller where on the Chiefs, under similar circumstances, most of you Miller fans would be saying exactly this. Under My bold prediction: Epenesa has the most sacks with 7. Groot with 6 and Miller with 1 1/2. Comparing a QBs game to a WR is apples to oranges….. silly question. Still too early to know what either team will look like but am expecting a slow start ( at best) from McD and Co.

It was on Sept.15 . My Birthday. My son, wife and I were in the upper deck front row where the winning TD was caught! My best Birthday ever. Spent the weekend fishing with my boy and capped it off with that game. My picture on here is from that game😁 Had seasons that year with my buddy. What a great ending to a tough slog of a game. Same story here. It was my father’s birthday and he wanted to get a jump on traffic.

Literally was about to start this thread as I wait for my son ( who’s working all day as a med scribe/college grad living here while applying to Med school) to take a shower before I finish pressure washing the last bit of house before chilling in the pool. He and I celebrated last Sunday. Luckiest Guy Ever, right here. These are also repeats: My first game was Sept.7,1980. My father had been bugging nine year old me about going to a Bills game. He was a pretty mean ( verbally) drunk and I had a typical blue collar rough upbringing. He and I never did anything together but even as a kid I could hear the plaintiveness in his voice as he kept asking me over the course of a few months. I finally said yes just to get him to stop asking as it meant nothing to me. We road a bus from Transit Hill plaza to the game. I assume this was a stipulation from my Mom as she didn’t want him driving. He was a different guy, actually a patient Dad, who was equally excited and nice. We sat seconds row, upper corner, the old row N( crazy how i remember that) Well, that was the Bills beating the Fins for the first time in a decade game. The old man took the time to explain the game to me and never pricked on me once. The place obviously was in meltdown mode from the start that built into a crescendo that saw the field stormed and goal post torn down. Nine year old me was HOOKED!!!! He took me to every game those two years that Knox was coach. I only missed the Steelers/Bradshaw 15 passing yards game with a fever. The old man will be dead 40 years this October. In the meantime, I married my best friend and we had one amazing child, my son. I tried my damndest not to put him down or mess him up. I was tougher than most Dad’s I know but always as a lesson, spoken like an adult with another adult, even when he was a toddler. Happy Father’s Day and Peace to all of you.
