That was the year Gettlemen had let Josh Norman go( They had a contract Norman was ready to sign and Gettlemen yanked it?!? They started Rookies Worley and Bradberry at CB and I think Coleman and Boston at Safeties. The D line was old and it was a disaster. That was the end for Gettlemen.

Listened to a Charlotte caller on WFNZ yesterday talking about Rivera coaching. His point was the Panthers defense hasn’t rebounded since McD left for Buffalo. I hadn’t thought of it but he was correct imo. What I can’t believe is they didn’t get rid of Hurney. He’s a good numbers guy but his drafting after the first rounds has been ?. I assume they are going to bring in a better talent evaluator before the draft. It is fascinating to watch this process happen when you don’t have a dog in the fight.

Josh is the easy answer so ANOTHER favorite is Matt Milano. He’s one of those effort guys who absolutely balls out!!! I swear he had a hand in half the tackles the last two weeks. I was really concerned about his ability this year after that nasty break last year but Dude is full steam ahead.

Thank you!!! I actually really liked this pass. This is a pass we’ve watched a bunch of the best QBs make for years. It shows a QB who trusts his receiver to go up and make a play. How many times have we seen a play like this to Gronk where you are just shaking your head when he gets it? Not calling Foster , Gronk but you get the point. When we have receivers in the future would like this to become a normal occurrence with a different outcome.

Going out on a limb but: CMC is not going to play next year without a new contract. With a new GM and Head coach he also might become available ( for a mint) if he decides he doesn’t want to play through a rebuild.

New owner means new regime. He got two seasons and both were underwhelming.

Tepper is now in a position to have dibs on whomever he wants and Rivera will have his pick of multiple jobs if he decides to continue

Veteran minimum on a 1 year “ prove it” deal

Not picking on you but remember a few short years ago when there were multiple 30 page long threads about how TT was/wasn’t a potential long term starter? The fights on those threads as posters vehemently defended him? JA is clearly a starting level QB if TT was? Crown him! He absolutely lost his mind and crapped the bed in the first NE game. The coaches reeled him in and made him go back to square one. He made a few “ Hero ball” throws in those next few games and then those disappeared. He, the Offense itself, Daboll up in the booth, it’s all finally coming together at just the right time in the season. And, nobody nationally is buying it which I love. This whole league is schizophrenic in terms of multiple teams up and down play and our steady growth is able to hide within it. I said in another thread, his growth won’t be linear and he could have another bad game but he’s got the “ Want to”, the tools and the “ It” factor which he demonstrated Thursday. I’m not expecting a win next week but neither am I sure of a loss against one of the two or three best teams in this league. It’s been DECADES since I felt this way.

IF we beat Baltimore then the sky is the limit. If we are on, there isn’t a team we can’t beat in this league!!! My worry is JA is still young and his progress won’t be linear. That was The best game of his young career. I hope he keeps it at that level but I won’t be surprised by a stinker in these last four games.

You can hop a taxi for $15 to a bar close to wherever you are staying. Playa Del Carmen will definitely have bars showing the games. I watched the SB there and have watched other games in the past. Puerto Adventuras and Puerto Morelos and Tulum also will have bars that show games. Drink XXs or such from a bottle and you’ll be fine.
