  1. You don’t HAVE to go to the EZ. The hill is farther away but if you have binoculars you can see more. I wasn’t the only Bills fan up there. Plus, you do get a breeze up there. It was 91 when I got back to my car at 11:15 so bring water and an umbrella if you have one.
  2. I couldn’t figure out who the other guy taking center snaps was. I was thinking it might be Boetger. Couldn’t see names or numbers from the side. I don’t believe Bates looked good.
  3. Went to Easely SC immediately after practice for a karate workout with a good friend so I’m late with these observations: Pros: - The O-Line looks good. Feleciano snaps looked consistent in the shotgun. The center of the pocket held. Long did not snap as well with some high and one low one. It seems as if they are really focusing on driving the DEs up field and having JA step up. - Singletary looks good. He sticks out. He’s quick and patient at the same time. We have a diamond in the rough at a minimum. - Barkley is the best backup we’ve had since..... Flutie. He ran the offense better than JA. He’s knows where he’s going, he’s decisive and he threw some longer balls that were perfect passes and dropped. - Beasley is just a pro. Having his consistent presence on shorter routes is going to be huge for JA. Before I do cons I want to state that it’s hard to get a read on D because both teams were being careful out there with each other. There was one big hit by a Bill which I heard but didn’t see because I was looking through the binoculars at the far field. Other than that, there some easy takedowns and a couple of decent form tackle pops but the Defense was muted. Cons: JAs accuracy. He throws high consistently. It’s not that he didn’t make good throws. He hit some slants and crossing patterns perfectly. He dropped a nice 30+ yarder in the corner of the EZ that was spot on but got broken up . But, overthrew a wide open somebody( again, forgive the lack of player names but through binoculars, on a crowned far field with players on the sidelines between, it was rough) on a blown assignment by a solid five yards. As stated in a post earlier, throwing simple five yard outs his accuracy was sketchy. Watching Barkley and Cam made it even more noticeable. - While not necessarily a con, JA doesn’t process as quickly as Barkley. I say it might not be a con because training camp is the time to work on mechanics as well going through his progressions. He seems comfortable holding the ball a little longer than makes me comfortable. He does have pocket presence and moved in the pocket a few times to buy time. That being said, the D was playing with kid gloves and we will see how that looks Friday. I didn’t see him get legit sacked. - Our receivers dropped too many ball for my liking. Easely dropped a Barkley TD in the EZ and there were some others that needed to be caught. - Jackson is a nice story. He doesn't look like an NFL QB . - Cam seemed to consistently put the ball wherever he wanted against our DBs. I was impressed by his passes considering all I’ve heard about his bum shoulder. It looked fine to me to the detriment of our D. They did get a pick on him on a ball tipped at the line( I jumped up and screamed to the displeasure of a hill full of Panther fans.) Also, one of our interior D lineman drove a double team back into their back up QB Allen and knocked him down. I made an ass of myself on that one too? In terms of which team looked better, I hate to say it but the Panthers O looked markedly better than ours did when JA was in there. It’s one practice so I’m not making anything of it but that is what I saw. Also, they actually ran a read option keeper with Allen which I was surprised to see in camp. Especially against another D and he ran right into the arms of waiting LBs who were nice to him. I don’t want to see him running that play often ?
  4. Never been to SJF. Two fields here and Bills O is on the far side so fans only have access at far end zone . Bills fans are packed in like sardines there.Making a great of bit of noise. Im up on the hill at 50 yard line where I can see all.
  5. Barkley TD to McKenzie 11-11. Bills fans dogging the heck out of the Panthers DBs audibly from a quarter mile away??? Panther’s wine and cheese cloud not loud at all
  6. O line five minutes of pass pro at 75% speed. Far side of the field so hard to get names but NO ONE on the Bills made a fool of themselves. There was a nice stunt pickup where JAwould have had time and a pocket?
  7. 11 on 11s just finished. Both teams not getting chippy and staying in control of themselves. Newton his a bomb against White and? Allen dropped a nice one in the corner that was dropped(Easely?) Barkley hit a beauty to Sills on the sideline which he dropped. Foster went up for one in double coverage and came down hard but seemed ok
  8. QBs just finished short slants , outs and digs. Barkley most accurate, Josh’s bad ones were catchable but all high except for one low one. Jackson is a hair slow on his release and least accurate. He’s wearing a knee brace on his left leg
  9. Just reported on WFNZ ( CLT sports radio) Cam Newton will not be working out tomorrow. Also, R. Rivera spoke to Panthers about not fighting with the Bills tomorrow.
  10. Highly recommend Dock Street Oyster Bar if you like seafood. Had the BEST Oysters there two weeks ago.
  11. I get the sense that this truly a “ McBeane” MO kinda thing. They both are on the same page and with Doubtful Dan it becomes an echo chamber. They are comfortable with what they know and my guess is it’s about personality as well as system familiarity. Getting him back week ten for the Playoff run might look like a stroke of genius when all is said and done.
  12. Yep. He is an EFFORT guy with leadership qualities . What he isn’t is good. As a nickel or dime corner if we are nicked up maybe. I’ve watched this guy during a few stints in Clt and my opinion..... a big, fat MEH.
  13. I’ll be there Tuesday also. I’ll be wearing a Freddy Jackson Jersey with a Red Bills “ Gilligan “ style hat. Hit me up if you see me. Friday we’ll be at 5 th and Graham st( enter on Graham between 4 th and 5 th) around 4:45 after a fish fry at Lebowski’s. Looking forward to it!!!?
  14. It makes sense, in as much as it forces Allen to be aware of his protections based on what he thinks the D is showing.
  15. When it’s choppy , try a different stream. The first one I might have watched might have been choppy? The second one might have been perfect?
  16. The other thing it is BS. Im glad the Colts started with the ball as JA was what I was most interested in.
  17. So a quick check of Hulu live. You have to be in a market showing the game to watch it or can you get any game in any market?
  18. I’ll one up you. I set my DVR to record the game a few days ago on DTV NFL1 channel . It showed up on the guide and I was getting more and more excited. I actually had someplace to be but skipped it last night as it was the last game I get to see with my son before he leaves for freshman year of college Sunday. He had Seinfeld on at 6:59 when we switched over and the game was Blacked out in Charlotte?!?!?!???? I , too, lost my mind in a fit of anger. I tried to get an “ alternate streaming site” to open on my smart TV and my TVs web browser wouldn't allow me to open it ( some kind of BS chicanery going on there which I will have to research) I ended up finding a stream on my desktop and we watched the game on a 17” screen. Better than nothing but it still pushes me off.
  19. Really liking what I see . However, the Colts look like Doodoo.
