Special teams was Meh. It didn’t hurt us ( First NE game?) but it didn’t help either. Wanting a better punter and kicker is good. Getting one is a different story. Also, our gunners blocking was consistently lacking all year. I didn’t see us knock one guy off his line, much less out of bounds when we received. I would like to see the bottom of the roster get stronger which is a product of Beane continuing to increase the talent level.

Roberts was consistently taking it out of the EZ. I may be wrong but I believe they count yards deep, in the EZ , as part of the return. Someone else stated it but if he just knelt every ball we may have fared better.

Lead the league in fewest ST penalties with 10 penalties. That’s not even one a game. We noticeably weren’t picking up the dumb Block in the back penalties we always seem to. He doesn’t have the distance he had and McD was making decisions around the 35 yard line based on an obvious lack of trust during some games this year. My eyes didn’t misconstrue that?

This seems really surprising. I felt like our punting was Meh, Haushka wasn’t reliable, Roberts didn’t return squat..,.. The lack of penalties was noticeable though. I will say this, it didn’t feel like they made an appreciable difference in any games but these numbers say I’m wrong?

Just heard on the radio that SF’s RB Mosart had less than 400 yards total in five years leading up to this season..... A Dime a dozen when your O line zone blocks like that.

I watched Beasely time after time turn on a dime and fall or get tackled...... when he wasn’t missing balls that hit him in the hands or face. Give us a tight end and receiver who Josh deservedly trusts and I agree we win the East.

It will be hard to lead the league in dropped passes two years in a row.....I hope. It will be hard to have our special teams be that mediocre again......I hope. I think we will still be over looked though. Nobody outside of Buffalo is giving JA any credit that I am hearing. I like being over looked.

Our Defense never got to play with a comfortable lead because our O never gave them one. Including last week. If our O takes a decent step forward our D gets better because of it. We do need to figure out the run D problem though.

It was never our year. This isn’t a rebuilt offense we are watching with middling talent. This is a well oiled machine with top talent all over.
