I get this point of view. But, good that Josh got some easy outs to get his timing down and his confidence up. He hit some sweet passes last year against NE and Baltimore that were flat out dropped. Same thing with the Houston game. The kid is progressing but is nowhere near a finished project. With Allen’s selfless work ethic and desire to improve, imagine where this kid will be in a year or two.

Conditioning is conditioning. The oldest adage in the book, per vets who have played the game is “ You have to get into football shape.” This doesn’t just include physical strength conditioning but getting a feel for what your body can and can’t do. So yes, training camp and small doses of live fire drills ( preseason games) help vets acclimate their bodies to regular season play.

That’s why it used to be called “ Training camp”, so all the lard butts could come in and get in shape. That is the irony of trying to make an unsafe game safe. It can’t be done. As you try to mitigate one risk you exacerbate another. The idea about the knee brace mandate is actually not bad. If everyone had to wear them there would be no advantage.

Josh threw a perfect pass to Diggs and Diggs slowed down. To me it was a simple question of them still working out the kinks. If Diggs takes that one extra step, it’s a completion and we aren’t having this discussion. I understand seeing a trend across three seasons but this season and team are not last years. Give it a few more weeks and then we can talk.

You have a point. Motor was the better back to my “eye test” today. I understand some of it was blocking But other than those couple plays Moss has back to back he looked Meh.
