  1. McD has shown us the typical aversion to rookies with his handling of Singletary vs Gore to start last season. This is one reason I think overall playing time goes to vets. Singletary has earned it although I think we all hope Moss makes it so that it becomes a moot point as to who is in the game?. If they became equally interchangeable ( it terms of production) we would have the best RB tandem in the league possibly. To start the season , barring injury, Addison is a vet’s vet. A lunch pail guy who is a prototypical McD guy. I REALLY hope MA can continue at his previous level. The Bills D will immediately be better against the pass and run. Not just because of sacks and stops but also the pressure he will consistently bring making 10 other Incrementally easier which has a cumulative effect. Addison was a GREAT get!
  2. Could he flame out this year? Yes. I think the chance of that happening is below 10%. He WANTS it. He will do what it takes to get it. JA has that rare quality of having complete belief in himself while being truly coach able. He can see where he is, in his growth, while still knowing he can get better at anything he sets his mind to. Then he works it. Before last season “he couldn’t hit the short pass.” He worked it and VOILA he could. It looked like he would always play “ hero ball” and force risky throws because he believed in his arm. After doing that early , with NE game being the worst, the coaches got in his ear and he allowed himself to be dialed back. Some on here said he was “ hesitant “ or “ gun shy “. Turns out he was just coach able. I didn’t see this with Mayfield. Rosen looks lost and defeated every time he’s on the field. Once Brady, Brees and Rothlisberger, Rivers and possibly Rogers are out Josh will clearly be one of the top ten in the league.
  3. I’m going off the highlight video and draft analysis I read. He has the weird intuitive way of falling forward at odd angles. What I like is he goes forward. Too many backs ( Spiller) over the years have refused to take what was given. This is imperative for a short yardage back.
  4. Challenge accepted ??? This isn’t an every down expectation but it is a tone setting attitude to have. The kid has already demonstrated an uncanny ability to keep his balance . He hits small creases for positive yards. When the defender thinks he might get run over he has to set his feet and drop his weight which sets him up for a different move. Lastly, the kid runs a couple dudes over and the WHOLE team will feed off that energy. ???
  5. When your RB acts as a fullback and Iso- blocks SAFETIES, it is only good for our team. Also, if I’ve read enough anti Edmund’s posts on here, in the last two years, correctly.... LBs do miss tackles?
  6. Just looked this up and it says” Some” customers have received emails stating it’s free. We all have a FAT bargaining chip this year even if it’s not automatically given. My day just got brighter?
  7. Super Bowl Win!!! Josh hold serve on last years stats with the exception of connecting on 50% of the long ball misses. The rookie RB gives us the best 1-2 punch in the league coupled with incremental improvement by the O line. The D gets 10 more take aways over last year. The Run D is shored you. We don’t have a lot of injuries. THE WINDOW IS OPEN!!! It would be a magical season but it is completely within the realm of likely outcomes.
  8. Start in terms of week one? No But if Singletary goes down I think he is clearly capable of handling the load providing his pass pro skills are up to snuff
  9. 13-3 Seattle , San Fran and Arizona the only losses. All NFC, Who cares? AFC east and AFC Conference Champs ???
  10. Year after year on schedule release day, I’d come on here and it was 6-10 or 7-9. People would be trying to talk themselves into wins. I’m looking at the schedule and trying to talk myself into losses and for the life of me I can’t. “Good years” indeed?
  11. I agree. “ Must win” is about rubbing every doubters and crap talkers nose in it. Which I will do...... with a BIG smile on my face.
  12. I’ve been battling the local radio guys here who keep saying “ Cam should start for the Bills this year”. EVERY national guy they get on they ask about this..... I swear it’s just to piss me off.... which it does?
  13. That is my “ Must win” game of the season. I think there is a good chance we hit the halfway point at 7-1 with KC being the only loss if I had to choose one. If we beat them, we immediately step into the SB contender spotlight and all the national guys who have been slagging us will start to come around
  14. I was thinking a few days back....? I would prefer that we get rid of the second AFC East games. I realize it would mean playing harder games against NFCW. This is a double edged sword. I’m old enough to remember a certain SB team that consistently played in an abysmal AFCE( excepting ‘Fins from time to time) and kept getting its arse handed to it in the big game. I’m a firm believer in battle testing. Last year was our “ Cake year”. I want this team to beat good teams consistently. Why? Because I’m sick of hearing blunt about us from national guys consistently. I’m in Clt listening to non Bills sports radio and our roster is getting props but JA isn’t. I realize it’s on him but I believe he’s ready. The other edge of the sword is the better record but I’m all I on this team and believe they can do it. We still win the East because all AFCE teams will run the same gauntlet. Another consideration is the fact that how the West looks now might not be how they look when we play them. San Fran with a SB hangover is a real possibility early in the season. Especially if they beat the Fins and and Jets before us and have too high an opinion of themselves. IMHO
  15. A good pass rush makes for a good secondary.IF the front seven can shore up the Run D while holding serve( at a minimum) on sacks andQB pressures the secondary has a chance to play lights out this year.
  16. Is Hoodie egotistically delusional about Stidham or is he quietly confident in his abilities??? I would be delightedly shocked if NE only won six games. However, we have seen this before. With a good D and an average O he could still eke out 9-10 wins. If they only win six, I’ll be the first to send you a case of beer?
  17. He has been a consistent presence in Clt. Hopefully, Father Time looks favorably upon him for a few more years and MA gets us double digit sacks while shoring up the run D, as well.
  18. This!!!! All day. Especially, the Cam Comparison. I don’t want to see Josh running as much by design. Getting Moss , I hope, will help towards this end. Josh faced some serious Jail breaks too often due to poor O line play. I seriously hope they get their act together this year. Last year the whole squad was new. This year hopefully continuity makes a difference.
  19. Agreed. For the record, I truly expect better play from Josh, Knox, the O line and the addition of Diggs is a Godsend. The D line will be interesting to watch.
  20. I absolutely agree he needs to diagnose D more quickly. He has to hit wide open receivers down field . He needs to throw with anticipation. But the offense last year was anything but a well oiled machine, Including Daboll and McD for allowing the conservative play calling when holding small leads. If Josh raises his game and the rest of the O produces at last years level we still aren’t beating KC or Baltimore. While we are at it, our D playing a season full of scrub teams gets you high ranking. This year our D will rank considerably lower if they play at last years level due to our strength of schedule. They need better line play against the run and more take aways, especially from the safeties.
