Practice makes perfect? What does BAD practice make? Can’t wait for 9/13

Just watched this. We are still a team that many are sleeping on. I know some in this board agree but nationally Josh is not well thought of. Many are certain he has no chance at progressing. Watching the “ no pad, no contact” practices , he is throwing a better long ball with air under it. We all watched every other teams QB get bailed out by their receivers last playoffs on multiple “ inaccurate “ passes. This is the year our receivers do the same. Last year, Allen was clearly held back and “ took” the coaching and played safe but hesitant at times. This year, I see him throwing into tighter windows and throwing more contested balls to Diggs and Brown and Knox, with the coaches blessing. Shades of Kelly in the Cleveland game.

I didn’t want to seem unrealistic in my prediction?

Josh Allen 352 yards and 4 passing TDs , Diggs, Brown, Beasely and Knox Three Rushing TDs JA, Motor and Moss Final score 51 to 7.

He catches the Playoff TD, we win the game. “ Big time players make Big-time plays“ he didn’t and I fell out of love with him then. I think he’s a legit NFL receiver but not on this team as Beane has done a stellar job of creating competition almost everywhere.

I am sure he has less faith in you.

I’m considering the source of this wisdom??? From had 78 TDs in the SEC in 3 years while never going below 60 % completions. TT had 44 TDs in the ACC in 4 years While never cracking 60% completions. Pretty ridiculous on my part?

Any games JA has to miss will suck. If he were to miss 2 or 3 and we won one of them, I would be happy. The kid has SOME talent and I would assume would only be expected to run a Ball control O. We have the skill position players on O for the first time in forever to win. If TT QBd us to a playoff appearance , Fromm possibly isn’t the end of the world in short term service.

This is potentially one of the most important pickups this year. If we field a top 1-5 D, which I expect we will, having a kid who can come in and manage a few games is huge. I have little faith in Barkley.

It looks like Allen has been working on getting some air under his throws. I have SUCH a good feeling about this team, this year!!!

That ‘86 season with Kelly was painful. Those not old enough to remember , there was a lot of criticism of him for all the inopportune picks he threw. That was after a couple of “ Pro” seasons in the USFL where he was lighting it up. I do agree that backup QB is scary and I wanted Dalton Bigtime when he was available. Let’s hope Jake Fromm is capable of leading a ball control O because I have little faith in Barkley.

I will grant that Cam has more experience but they are essentially the same throwers, imo. Under OC Shula Cam’s lack of accuracy was a constant criticism and concern of Panthers fans. He is a streaky passer who will have great games followed by head scratchers where he constantly overthrows receivers. Another knock on him was he had no touch and couldn’t hit the short pass and dump off well ( which he often didn’t) until Turner came in and had him dump it to McCaffery which got Cam his first 70+% completion % until he was injured that season. Another constant idea was that Cam HAD to run a bit to get settled into a game and start hitting his passes more consistently. I find it highly suspect that Cam is physically capable of that at his previous level. I also think he will be a little more Gun shy in that regard compared to JA who still has his legs as a threat. With the understanding that Cam is in a new O I think he and Josh are about even. If the D ( ours or anyone’s) gets a few good hits on Cam towards the beginning of the season I feel he will become a pocket passer.... which he isn’t.

Cam is a shell of his 2015 self. He has had multiple shoulder surgeries because of the misuse by OC Shula. The question to me is, does BB acknowledge this fact or does he figure “ WTH, we got him in the cheap and this is a rebuilding year”? If a full season is played and they use a heavy RPO playbook. Cam’s game will probably start suffering by week 4.
