Remember when Holmgren and GB kept losing in the playoffs until they didn’t. Same thing with P Manning. Losing the AFC Championship game was a steppingstone AND and a lesson.

Training Camp media sessions 8/2: Beane, Daboll
Buffalo Boy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
“Bills GM Brandon Beane on @WGR550: "Matt (Breida) a seasoned vet. He's very smart. Came in a picked up the offense well. We were looking for a little juice......gives Brian (Daboll) a variety based on who we are playing and matchups." Mike Schopp @Schopptalk Sounds to me like he's on the roster.” I’m really excited about the speed he provides as a RB(not just a gadget player). Couple that with Beane acknowledging the O line’s need to improve their run blocking and hopefully we see a much improved run game. It would make JA appreciably more dangerous. -

We aren’t bringing him into block, just a vertical threat .

Happy to see EO with a chip on his shoulder. Happier yet to see the Brown throw him around. We need maulers on the O line. Hopefully, he is one of them. He needs a nickname. We’ve had House and Condo….. how about Mountain.

He doesn’t have to prove he’s a “ Legitimate “ QB this year. Win games with his arm CHECK Win playoff games CHECK Hit the long ball consistently CHECK Improve his accuracy/ comp.% CHECK He’s not playing with house money but he has quickly garnered respect around the league.

Guy on the left looks like he’s got some size to him. Maybe we should bring him in too🤔

Dak Romo??? -
That’s the one I said. My absolute favorite last year!!!
-
It was! And he had one like that to Davis as well…. Can’t remember the game but I remember the catch.

I alluded to this a few months back on one of the JA highlights threads. I think that was a big part of the discussion about working the middle of the field routes. The coaches self scout and he does and he clearly got his receivers blown up a few times unnecessarily. When he starts leading Them into open spots and hitting them in stride, the sky is the limit. Last year, he seemed to understand the defensive coverages and where the open AREAS where. Let’s see when understand where the open SPOTS are. Still a work in progress but I so trust him/ them to take another sizable step forward.

Truthfully, if there isn’t a “JA’s best 2020 pass “ poll there should be! The one to Diggs at the end of the AZ game also

Don’t want to see Tommy have a cake walk through the season!!!! Panthers are legit looking like the second best team in the NFC South…😳 HATE IT -
Allen and the Boys ballin out like they never took a break. JA having the best two back to back days 😍😍😍 Rookie Basham “ introducing” himself to the team and Josh / good start.

Happy to see it on the O line. They need to not only field an improved line but need to make sure to get them through camp in one piece.

I fully hope so about Groot. Last year was such a bizarre year and it makes it so hard to get a correct read on Oliver and Epenesa. Let’s say both of them have a “ breakout” year ( minimum of 8 sacks apiece, numerous hurries, TFLs, a few forced fumbles each). I expect every other player on the line immediately also has a quantifiably better year as well. Throw in this years class getting quality reps and also producing and our D line and overall D jumps 8-10 spots in ranking. Suddenly we have an above average D line rotation which helps every position on D. This is the linchpin of my optimistic forecast this year. It might not happen but it seems to me very possible. Immediately our O gets that much better with less pressure, more playing with the lead. Throw in a better showing in the run game and luck with overall health/ injuries and we are the team to beat! And, why not us. -

The D line absolutely has to take a major step forward. The problem with Groot is he seems too tall. It seems that he will always cede the lower pad level to the defender. Does he have speed and bend to use his length to his advantage? I hope so but we shall see.
