I moved to LA in 1989 at the age of 20. My second job there was cooking at Gorky’s Russian Cafe. I told them I couldn’t work Sunday mornings because I was Devout and had to go to church!!! Of course, I would ride the LA Metro bus all the way to Canoga Park ( 1 hour each way) to go watch the Bills games in some Irish pub. THAT was my Sunday Church😎

They were an excellent tandem at the beginning of their careers. Short was demonstrably the better linemen which is why they kept him. Star eats up blockers without a lot of push. Short could push the middle very effectively. Together they made the middle of the Panther’s line immovable. The question is, can they get back anywhere near that level. IF they could, for a short term Super Bowl push, it would be great to have them together. It’s a BIG if!!!

Checking his stats, I’m surprised what he’s done the last two years. He did Nothing in Carolina and was the butt of more that a few jokes here. If we could get him cheap, WTH. Give him a look.

If we added him, he would immediately be the second best receiver on the team!!!! If we added him he would immediately be the best YAC receiver on the team. If we added him he would be Top 3 toughest skill position player on the team. Thinking of McC as primarily a RB is facile.

He was literally Crying like a baby on one of them. He made his decision for health reasons and is a very intelligent person. IMO No chance he is even thinking of coming back.

Foot surgery is no joke. We got a good look at how he didn’t quite have the escapability in the SB. This could be a season long lingering thing or something that is prone to reaggravation . Mahomes without wheels is a different/lesser QB. If we get him earlier in the season and he isn’t 100% the plan should be to make him sit in the pocket ..... providing we can actually generate some pressure with the from four.

Phillips had 9.5 sacks vs 5 each for Klein and Addison this year. Phillips was decidedly more disruptive last year. Shaq had 6.5 sacks and was also disruptive . He was also playing for a contract which is why I was suspect of him BUT Lawson and Phillips both had career years in Buffalo in 2019. Why? Sometimes, the output is greater than the sum of the parts. I AGREED with letting them walk last year. What I’m saying is we missed their production and the guys we brought in ( on the cheap) didn’t provide as much. Maybe it was a “ If it’s not broke don’t fix it “ scenario . All I know is this years D line production stat wise and eye test were woefully less than last year.

I think they need to blow up the defensive line and stock it with younger, bigger, nastier talent. In hindsight, letting J.Phillips and S. Lawson walk was a bigger loss than many thought ( including me). I’m not faulting Beane as I agreed with not paying them the money they got but their production was missed. I guess it depends on your point of view but I’m in the “ Your DBs look better with a good four man rush” camp. I know it might appear risky but the Ends we have aren’t getting it done and I’m not holding out tremendous hope for Epenesa. He seems like a rotation guy/ I hope I’m wrong. That and O line help.

I would think/hope JA’s coming out season will have Top tier free agents choose us as a destination.

because JA is competing against Mahomes and will be for a decade or more. This is an important game for the Bills to watch. KC isn’t unbeatable. Cover Kelce and Hill and rush Mahomes.
