  1. We were at 13 seconds, I looked at my wife and son and said, “ This isn’t over yet.” Then I started jabbering “ They're gonna squib it…..They’ve got to squib it, right???” Then I started screaming at the TV, “ Why are you giving Hill that cushion?!?! Jam his arse!!!!!” The rest is history I was surprised but not fully……life of a Bills fan😮
  2. I don’t think it’s bizarre because the O has looked kinda wonky in the passing game and we got beat by the Pats, which hurts and is frustrating. I think a decent amount of people don’t give Vrabel as much credit as he is due. They are a clear # 2 and we shouldn’t take them lightly. But, yeah, the Defense is looking like 💩. As usual, offseason rose colored glasses were worn by many. There were a lot of “if” opinions being treated as “when”. The problem with hoping and wishing is the real world doesn’t pay them any heed. Bishop is exceeding expectations so that’s a plus. Oliver came out gang busters for a game. Rookie Walker has been a pleasant surprise and maybe Jones but the rest🤷‍♂️
  3. Might not be your best decision Doc😜
  4. And what did McD’s defense do in the biggest moment? Would man coverage coupled with a blitz been worse? I know, we can’t know but giving the cushion that was given to the fastest receiver( Hill …wtf!!!) on their team and rushing four guys who weren’t doing BLEEB all game. Ant the effing up the ST play?!?!?!?!? Sorry, in retrospect I’m taking Rex 10 times out of ten in that three play moment.
  5. Could start a go fund me…. Get a street sign….. hire a plane to haul a banner……just spitballing 😜😎
  6. Just opined in the other thread that I feel Hawes and Kincaid should both be used ahead of Knox. If Hawes was used in a similar fashion to Beasely in finding holes in the zone and sitting down he’d make a heck of a big target and I already like his hands better than Knox. We aren’t finding outside speed on this team. Josh is better at hitting a spot than outside downfield passes.
  7. That wasn’t even the AFCC game. A lot of people assume we would have gotten to the SB, including me at one point. With the benefit of hindsight, I tend not to think so. So, I’m not saying we win a SB. But I firmly believe we make the AFCC, in that moment, with Rex. And that, Bill, is sad imo.
  8. Which begs the question Why. Is McDermott a tyrant who won’t bring in someone who will say no to him? I understand on D but on O I like to think coaches would be tripping over themselves to get to work with Josh.
  9. Which begs the often asked question: How much of the draft is Beane and how much is McBeane. IF Sean has a decent amount of say and a new coach either wouldn’t or would then maybe Beane should stay. However, IF the drafting is predominantly Beane then I think he needs to go to. My hunch is, McBeane is a real thing and they are drafting as a duo with close to equal say after the scouts have done their job and presented their info. If this were a similar setup with a new coach, it would take time to flip a roster . It also might pay bigger dividends if done right quickly. There are so many what ifs in this scenario that 🤷‍♂️ . Which is why the clock is ticking LOUDLY based upon Josh’s health and age. As much as I don’t love our current O scheme. I do like that Josh isn’t getting the stuffing beaten out of him.
  10. Again, I am not disagreeing. I understand that the Giants beating the crap out of Brady and Mahomes running around like a chicken with his head cut off, was predominantly due to inside pass rush married to outside pressure ( and so Beautiful to watch all four times😁) But, in the moment of 13 seconds, can you say that a blitz with man coverage ( on one of the two plays) followed by a squib kick wouldn’t have possibly had a better outcome? No. You can’t. If you do, then we are just arguing to argue.
  11. Rothlisburger in his 3rd year and a very good D and conservative run dominated O. D won them that Super Bowl ( and some BS penalties) D got Cower to a SB with Neil O’ Donnel at QB!!!! Neil Freaking O’ Donnell😜
  12. Back to “ I’m not sure”. Clearly we are playing a game of what if but your argument of the game passing him by is equally applicable to Sean. Sean being passed by : Josh being the almost sole reason we are where we are. Sean’s schemes being consistently shredded on third and long, year after year vs the assumption that Rex would have played more man and blitzed more. Can we know that Rex’s way would have been better? No. But, I would argue, in the biggest games, pressure is what beat Brady and Mahomes, not two deep shell coverage.
  13. This is how groundswells look. This is how owners are forced into making changes. Far too many scaredy cats who are afraid of change ( Drought PTSD perhaps) who need to be dragged kicking and screaming to a change. Scoreboard = 4-1 = Excellent Eyetest = 😵
  14. Which would make Sean a figurehead. No way is he ceding control of the D to an outsider with a different scheme! Zero percent chance!
  15. How can anyone, even for a second, blame our current plight on lack of offensive production over the last six years? In the moment, I understand your observation but can counter it easily with “ jimmies and joes” argument. We do not currently have the skill players at receiver. I truly believe our best chance at a downfield passing game is currently (in this order) Kincaid, Hawes and Knox. This would mean passing more to the center of the field and it has never been something we have done consistently under any OC with Josh. A new coach scheming up a new downfield passing attack with this crop of receivers? See above, because it isn’t coming through these wideouts by scheme. Only, by sugar rush Josh running around and making things happen.
  16. The only real counter argument is Rex accomplishing that with D and not O. I’m just not sure if Rex could have taken McD’s D players as far…. But I’m not sure he couldn’t. 13 seconds doesn’t happen with Rex on the sidelines. Not on D and not on ST! Imagine dropping Josh onto those Sanchez offenses. Not saying its guaranteed SB wins but the % definitely increases significantly.
  17. I think this is true. Rex caught magic in a bottle with those players for a few years and managed to stay out of the way. The Jets beating the Pats was Very sweet at the time though🥰
  18. Agreed! But, at least they got to SBs. Absolutely attributable to Elway. This is as close to a comparison of QBs carrying teams ( excepting possibly Marino) as their is. And, close on the coaching comparison. Reeves was a quality head coach. However, he couldn’t win it all. Crusade logo= McD never will( excepting a complete fluke of lucky circumstances) An inconvenient Truth 😜
  19. Back to a previous point I made on another thread. McD can’t adapt his scheme to fit his players. He never could. He will let talent walk if it doesn’t fit his view. He will cling to players who know his scheme regardless of current ability. This is one of a few reasons I’ve been convinced of his need to be replaced for going on four years now. The other major one being the overall poor design of his scheme for the championship level moments. 🦬
  20. I wouldn’t wear that crap if the paid me 🤷‍♂️
  21. There isn’t a person we know who’s been there that doesn’t rave about that city. Awesome bar tip!!!! Bars? We like bars😎
  22. Visiting family in Zagreb then off to Prague to celebrate my wife’s birthday. People, food and whole vibe is great.
  23. Size and strength matter. Assuming the guy maybe wasn’t nearly as big or physically capable as a former NFL player he may well have had to. Don’t know the particulars but escalations of force is not unthinkable
  24. Wisdom of age. Living in the south especially, I assume everyone is carrying. Some of the road rage interactions I watch people have are truly baffling. So much anger and aggression just waiting for a chance to be triggered over completely pointless reasons.
