  1. Hughes lines up on passing plays as a DE, not a LB. While I still believe the Bills need a franchise tackle to replace Pears, I won't be upset if they went OLB to replace Moats. A franchise OLB, Kiko, and Lawson in addition to Williams, Williams, Dareus, and Hughes would be tough to overmatch.
  2. He has to eliminate the bounce to outside move that usually gets him in trouble. Also, not sure who taught TJ Graham that he has to jump up and use his body to catch a football when peewee league your taught to catch with your hands. Horrible form.
  3. ST is the only serious issue I have with this team. Crossman's ST are horrible. He needs to go in my mind.
  4. Win at NE would be huge. When is the last time we won there?
  5. We already played the fins. Welcome to earth bud
  6. Not sure why people are hating on Hackett. He is able to win games with backups at QB and WR, and if the QB's were a little more accurate as this poster states the Bills would have scored alot more points. Today alone he missed a few long balls that were open. I like what Hackett has done so far, and I think with experience (him, EJ, and receivers) its only going to get better. Regardless what anyone thinks, Hackett isn't going anywhere. So might as well get used to him.
  7. WOW....an educated statement! Not many of those around here!
  8. If you can get a top 15 pick for Stevie, I say trade him. Otherwise gotta hold on. In other words, no. CJ is a homerun hitter and is going to blossom into one if the best backs in the league. Gotta hold onto him.
  9. Its your point of view my man that is extremely myopic. We drum a playoff team whose head coach is a few years removed from serving as OC of a SB winning franchise, and all you can say is our coaching staff are a bunch of college guys over their heads? Let the sun in bud.
  10. Just hit the "ignore" button bud. Some fans just don't get it. Maybe they can trade Fred, EJ, and Stevie for a....say....6th round pick. I mean...that's all they are really worth...right? I think Tim Euhus' cousin is in the draft. Championship!
  11. Yeah...lets just use all of our draft picks and salary cap on QBs instead of another stud OL or OLB. Brilliant
  12. So I guess a bunch of amateur coaches completely dominated and shutout a head coach who has spent the last 10 years with a Packer franchise and was OC when they won the Super Bowl. Sweet.
  13. Your "tired of waiting" and have lost patience. Got it. However, right now the situation calls for patience, so that makes your point moot. To building a winning franchise, you have to show some patience, especially with a rookie. His injuires haven't helped either. Jim Kelly even admited that the time he missed, especially in the pre season, has a huge effect on his regular season performance. When you have a plan as the Bills do, you follow through until you find a reason not to. EJ has shown some very good things, and hasn't given the Bills any reason to lose faith in him. Next year's draft is going to be filled with players who can compliment EJ, as well as our defensive stars. EJ with more time in the pocket and more experience will be a better QB. No matter how hard you wish, EJ isn't going anywhere.
  14. While I agree that Robey SHOULD be in consideration, he won't. Alonzo and Richardson are all over the press. They hit the ground running and have played well all year, and their stats a their position overwhelm what Robey has put up, which is something that will be considered.
  15. I'll take it Although i think it had more to do with Buffalo's incredible pass rush, the loud fans at the Ralph, and weather conditions more than anything. But hey, any break is a good break.
  16. Woods made a rookie mistake and lost his cool. He'll be the first to admit that. He knows he can't do that, and he'll learn how to control himself. Woods has done nothing but great things this season, and has shown that in the clutch, he is a receiver the Bills can count on. He and Alonzo is making Buffalo's second round last year possibly their best 2nd round in the history of the team. It's early. But if they both continue on their current path only good things can happen.
  17. Nothing but love today to our workhorse RB Fred Jackson, averaging almost 6 yards a carry, getting his first 100 yard game of the season, and allowing the Bills to control the clock the whole game. Spiller had a decent game as well at almost 4 yards a tote to help the Bills get over 200 yards. It's performances such as today that proves it's ignorant to think that Jackson is "over the hill" or "has played his last game" for the Bills. He comes up in big games and makes big plays. The 1-2 punch has rushed for over 1650 yards this season at a 50/50 clip, and Jackson has 6 years on Spiller and STILL averages 4+ yards per carry. Great numbers for a 32 year old RB and leader of this franchise. .
  18. Another great UFA signing in the secondary. He is perfect for Pettine's defense. Just adds value to this past year's draft class
  19. I would have to disagree with the pedigree comment. His coach at Duke was the same QB coach that shaped the Mannings. He molded Lewis and spoke nothing but praise about him. I do agree that being a backup he will get no shot to really establish himself unless Manuel suffers a major injury. I like how he plays though, and it would be interesting to give the guy a full season and see how he would do.
  20. Fred Jackson is the heart and soul of a franchise full of youth. He is the loudest voice and main leader in the lockerroom, and he is a stud on the field. Any drop in production is more due to the Bills porous offensive line and the fact that they are trying to get CJ the ball more. With that said, his value on the field through what you see in the stat column and what you don't see is above and beyond the $2-plus mill per year he is paid. Fred Jackson is not the Problem in Buffalo. It's ridiculous to think he is going anywhere next season but in the starting lineup.
  21. My confidence level that EJ is the answer is 80%. The missing 20% is due to the fact that A) He is a rookie and although I am confident he is the answer he hasn't proved it yet B) Three knee injuries in one season (his rookie year) is a bit of a concern that his health may hinder his growth and confidence. If he can stay healthy, I truly believe EJ will do great things for this team, and he will grow into a QB that Bills fans can be proud of. It's a wait and see though.
  22. As much as I like Manuel and feel he is progressing well despite his inconsistencies, it's a bit of a concern that he has had 3 knee injuries in just one season. I'm hoping it's one of those "if this were a playoff game he could go" type of injuries, and the Bills are siding on caution more than anything.
  23. After Brandon's failed effort of playing GM in 2007, he was stricken of all Football Operational decisions, period. It was made clear by the Bills time and time again that Football decisions were in the hands of Buddy Nix and whoever the head coach was, along with the Director of Player personnel and College Scouting. Any decision that went above him was made by Ralph himself. The only decisions you can hold Brandon responsible for are the ones made after January 1st of this year, or any marketing decisions (such as Toronto) that where made on his watch. Based on that, I think the Bills have done well since January based on the fact that it was repeated time and time again that this was a learning season for the Bills and their new staff, and playoffs seemed a bit of a pipedream. Moving forward if the teams' decisions don't pan out, it's on Brandon.
  24. Glenn at T isn't the issue. It doesn't make sense to move him and then have to worry about his transition to guard as well as the new tackles performance. Buffalo needs to replace Pears and Legursky, period! Those two guys are killing us! Especially Pears, whose penalties and poor play hurts drive after drive. Pick the top T in the draft, then either go after a solid G in round 2, or go FA.
