  1. I'm not a huge fan of getting my hopes up for a 4th round pick with Raw talent that needs a lot of work. I think the Bills need to seriously look at addressing the position early in the draft or provide Tyrod with the necessary tutorage this off season to become the player they thought he could become and renegotiate his obnoxious contract and bonus. After the Miami game it's apparent that Tyrod can still be a winning QB. They need to figure that out. As for Coughlin, there was a time when Giants fans were not thrilled over the hiring of a retread head coach who, after three winning seasons, was fired after consecutive 7-9, 6-10, and 6-10 campaigns with the Jags. Two Super Bowls later I think things worked out pretty good there in Gotham City. Now, Some Bills fans aren't thrilled with a retread head coach who, after three winning seasons, was fired after consecutive 7-9, 6-10, and 6-10 campaigns with the Giants. In other words, records can be deceiving. As for his philanthropic side, Friendship isn't about money. It seems person A felt this way as well since he never brought it up. I think it was very cool for Coughlin to provide tickets and memorabilia for a person who he knew couldn't afford it so he could experience a live game. Gifting money to people, especially friends, is dicey and usually leads to friendships ending. Listen to the countless players who are hit up all the time by "good friends" who need help making a car or house payment. After a while that stuff takes on a life of its own and they end up broke because they can't say no. It's better to just not start.
  2. "Apparently you meant keeping everyone in marketing would include Russ. However, from what we as fans are led to believe, Russ is also meddling in football decisions. Which qualifies him for a departure as well." Brandon is a marketing genius, which you have to be to set records for season tickets with a mediocre franchise. He's not going anywhere
  3. That would include Russ Brandon
  4. It's been reported by multiple sources that Cougjlin will be interviewed by the Jags this coming week. With reports also surfacing that Coughlin is the Pegulas favorite to replace Ryan, I definitely see the Bills making a move this week to fire Ryan, presumably after Xmas day.
  5. Fox Sports calls out Rex for punting on 4th down. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/rex-ryan-buffalo-bills-will-he-be-fired-job-security-punt-dolphins-122416
  6. Sucks for Raiders fans. It was fun to see them win
  7. Per his twitter. Says this was the game to save his job. If he didn't know in previous weeks, looks like he knows now.
  8. Merry Christmas bro. And Merry Christmas to all
  9. Someone needs to pin that poll on whether Rex gets fired and see how he does now. This isn't the fault of an offense who racked up 31 points and over 500 yards. It's a defense who couldn't tackle a dummy or stop a running sink. That should never be an issue with a defensive-minded coach. RIP to Rex's stint in Buffalo.
  10. Agreed I wouldn't consider victories over Dolphins at home in December without Tanny or the lowely Jets as long shots. 9-7 finish and being alive for a playoff birth heading into final week whether they make it in or not with all the injuries, etc as much as I don't want to say it but it would be tough to get fire Rex based on performance. Although cuz I'm sick of his mouth and empty promises of being ranked first in defense yadayadayada I want to see him gone.
  11. I honestly feel if this was any other team they would be playing Cardale. But with Ryan about to be fired and it being the Browns Ryan knows if he loses this game his rep will take quite possibly a fatal hit that will affect him long term. I'm sure he demanded if not just for this game to start Taylor so that if they do lose he'll know at least he did it with the QB who gave him the best chance to win
  12. Cowher on Whaley Former Steelers head coach and current CBS NFL commentator Bill Cowher worked with Bills new GM Doug Whaley for the better part of a decade in the Pittsburgh organization. He was anything but surprised that Whaley has risen to the GM ranks in the NFL. “Doug Whaley to me has “paid his dues.” He has done his job professionally and with high-quality,” said Cowher. “I know from working with him in Pittsburgh he is a guy who put due diligence towards every opportunity and task he was given. He has a wealth of knowledge, a good feel for people and a good eye for talent. “I think when you talk about people that earn the opportunity to advance and earn the opportunity to have more responsibility that Doug is a guy who has proven along the way at every step that he can equal the challenge and then surpass it. It does not surprise me that he has been named General Manager.” Sounds like two men who have the ability to work well together with the same mentality and get along. I truly believe that when Ryan is fired Cowher will be one of the targets Pegula goes after. I for one am all for it. The guy can coach. It will be a breath of fresh air for this city and franchise, regardless of how long he's been out. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/tag/bill-cowher/
  13. Jay Cutler is horrible value for the contract he is being paid. Plus, his nonchalant attitude would completely turnoff fans and make any struggles worse.
  14. Larry Bartoszek Jr is tweeting that Coughlin is in Bufflao till Wedneday. Seems to come across as being in the know. Any credible sources that can confirm this or it just fan hearsay?
  15. Refs are horrendous. End of story.
  16. Additional Stephen Jones is the one making the final call on all players. Hence them drafting an all pro OL when Jerry was banging the table for Jihnny Manziel Jerry is no longer running the show which is why they are doing good Now if you want to say Stephen Jones is a better GM an argument can be had.
  17. It's the refs The quality of officials is way down. The league has lost integrity. Dumb celebration taunting penalties that cost teams games. QBs getting hits to the head or thrown into concrete 5 yards out of bounds and no call. Receivers getting mauled and no call. Yet a CB doesn't touch the receiver and he gets PI The term any team can beat any other team on Sunday has been replaced with any team can get screwed on Sunday. I used to watch games for the excitement and value of it. It's just not entertaining any more to watch a game that doesn't involve Buffalo unless it's a great matchup. Tenn/Jac and NYJ/AZ bores me. On top of the fact that I'm going to see a WTF call at least a handful of times a game I'd rather watch or do something else. 100% agree
  18. Everything you just described about Tyrod was what every fan was screaming about EJ up to last season. You forget receivers throwing their hands up when EJ couldn't hit them on a simple hitch. The frustrating sacks for holding the ball too long. And EJ can't hold a candle to Tyrods mobility. EJ would have never been able to extend some of the great plays Taylor had made. And the interceptions and fumbles... Sure Tyrod missed some guys. But he also had some key drops for big yardage. Bottom line this is a different team without Shady, and nothing EJ could do would change that. The Pats scored 41. That's not a total that many teams could overcome, especially against a Belicheck coached team. Tyrod didn't throw a pick six so that's all on the D. Tyrod is the best QB on the team and provides the greatest upside. We were all raving about him when he was making amazing plays downfield and avoiding sacks when we were winning. A couple weeks doesn't change that. We put EJ in now and you can kiss the season goodbye. He's horrible, and his talent simply doesn't match up to Taylor's regardless of what happened this past sunday.
  19. Alexander has 2 more sacks than Mario's entire 2015 season, and has seven this season to Williams' one. Mario will be blaming Miami's DC in 3...2...1...
  20. Lorenzo Alexander looked like a man amongst boys out there. Crazy how both of these guys who were supposed to be backups are leading the D Agreed. All of these last minute free agent additions making a difference in huge situations. Only a crappy GM can pull that off.
  21. Wade Phillips seems to be one of those coaches who is an awesome DC, but not so much as HC. Schwartz hasn't proven any different. The only difference is Schwartz only had one shot. he deserves another. The Schwartz ship has sailed. The Bills are going to have to find another candidate when (I say when) they fire Ryan this season. I truly believe Bill Cowher is a name you'll hear quite a bit of. Take it for what it's worth.
  22. Ryan also favored to get fired first. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2016/09/21/bodog-even-odds-bills-rex-ryan-gets-fired-week-17/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=puma#link_time=1474504732
  23. Nothing that Roman did with Taylor that Hue Jackson couldn't have done. His arrival and keeping Schwartz would be providing a whole different result right now.
